I considered a few different types of weapons when thinking of what to make. I wasn't too worried about wasting the Vibranium since I can always melt down the armament I make.
However, I'm unsure what will happen if I enchant the weapon I make, and I also wanted to see the properties of Uru before I decide what I want to use.
So I decided on something simple, something I will be able to effortlessly melt and remake.
There, I ran in a bit of a problem. Even with all my boosts, my flames were having a bit of a problem melting the Vibranium.
That was a big issue, so for the next couple of hours, I sat there, using Pyrokinesis nonstop on the metal and also myself. Might as well get Fire Resistance up while I'm at it.
The process was long and annoying, but the moment Pyrokinesis hit 90 was when the Vibranium started melting. If I had to guess, the temperature was around 5500°F or 3000°C.
From there, I just formed it into what I wanted while having Magical Crafter equipped.
[Vibranium Brick(Legendary): A brick made of Vibranium. It's very durable and can absorb, store, and release kinetic energy.]
It's a simple weapon, but still a surprisingly good one. I can use it as a melee weapon to hit the Golem over and over again, storing up lots of kinetic energy. That will do a lot of damage since my Strength is over 1000 with Mana Strengthening activated.
However, I can hold it with Telekinesis and hit the Golem that way. It's a win-win either way. Now it's just a matter of seeing how long it will take me to kill the Boss.
I made a total of nine Vibranium bricks. Two I will hold in each hand while the others I will hold with Telekinesis. Hopefully, I can grind some Martial Arts levels this way.
I flew down and shot the bricks at the Boss as I began my assault on him. I was way faster than the Golem and danced around him with ease as I bashed him with my bricks.
The Boss, however, was as tough as nails. I was barely even able to dent him in the beginning, but the longer the fight went on, the stronger my bricks became from all the kinetic energy they had stored. Vibranium is pretty broken, I gotta say.
Despite that, the fight lasted for a couple hours as the Boss refused to go down. Still, that did allow me to grind some skills.
[You have leveled up to 87.]
It was just one level, but it was better than nothing.
[Acquired Uru nugget.]
Now that... was disappointing. The iron-colored nugget was so small compared to the ingots I received from the other Golems. At least the properties of the metal are something else.
[Uru(Legendary): A metal ore from the first moon in existence. Uru is extremely durable, and it also has the highest magical energy conductivity out of all metals. It can absorb magical energies to strengthen itself and can hold twice as many enchantments compared to other materials.]
Thankfully, I didn't use Magic against the Golem because, if anything else, I would've just made it tougher.
Uru also seems like the perfect metal to make a weapon and even accessories out of, but... I don't know if I can actually melt it. Won't using my Pyrokinesis on it just end up making it tougher and harder to melt?
That's a bit problematic, but hopefully, once I get my own workshop, I will be able to make forge to melt it down. I just wish I knew the melting point of the metal.
No point in thinking about it at the moment since there was nothing I can do about it, so I just returned to grinding. It was pointless to fight the Golem Boss. The fight took way too long, and I only got a single level out of it plus the Uru nugget, which I currently was unable to use.
Farming the Ogre Boss was boring, but at least it gave me a lot of money, especially since I have the Lucky Horseshoe skill. I also got a lot, and I mean, a lot of Legendary panties. If I was able to use them as a shield or anything else other than underwear, then they could've been pretty useful.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, and I had a shit ton of panties in my Inventory. I should find someone that could use them and gift them to that someone. However, I don't know anyone that could use nearly indestructible panties.
By the end of the night, I had over $500 000 and nearly 100 free stat points, getting me closer and closer to 500 Intelligence. Which reminds me I also need to raise Luck over 100 as well to get the two passive skills.
In the morning, I prepared breakfast for everyone, and we left for school with Kurt.
"Today, we will meet a potential member for our group," I told him on the way.
"Hmm, is it a girl?" Kurt asked absentmindedly. He looked tired as he probably had spent most the night playing on his new computer.
"Yes," I confirmed, and he suddenly looked fully awake.
"Is she pretty?" Kurt asked.
"She is," I confirmed again. Emma is pretty. I can't say otherwise. I mean, I can, but there is no point in it.
"Ohh! Maybe she vill vant to go out viz me! Vhat's her name?" Kurt said, already imagining his first date with her.
"Emma Frost," I said and continued, "and good luck with that, buddy. You will need it."
At least he has a mental resistance ring, giving me some reassurance that Emma won't be able to manipulate Kurt. She is a pretty good telepath, but I think the ring will be enough to prevent her from doing anything to him.
At school, I connected with Jean mentally, and we talked mostly about what we did during the weekend. She had stayed at Kamar-Taj and had begun studying the basics of Magic.
Jean was plenty strong without Magic, but Magic was so versatile, and I'm all up for her studying it. She had even managed to draw a bit of power from the Phoenix and ended up developing a new skill.
[<Host of the Phoenix> Jean Grey Lvl. ???]
[Mutant Powers: Telekinesis(Strong); Empathy(Strong); Telepathy(Strong); Pyrokinesis(Weak)]
Jean's natural mutant powers were already strong, and I'm sure her Pyrokinesis will grow in time. I also couldn't even see her level since she was wearing the enchanted equipment I had given her. She is definitely a pretty scary gal.
While talking, Jean brought up Ororo as the topic. Munroe, apparently, was interested in our group. However, she had a condition if she was to join us.
Ororo had joined Xavier due to his ideals. He wanted to create a sanctuary for mutant-kind, a place where they can be protected and learn how to control their powers in a safe environment.
Xavier had done just that. Except, he had sealed the Phoenix Force and part of Jean's emotions while slowly manipulating her. Ororo viewed Jean as a sister, and she had left the X-Men for that reason. She couldn't be sure if the man had also been manipulating her and the other members, or if he will do it in the future.
I don't personally know Ororo, but from what Jean had told me about her, I think she might be a good addition. We also do need more females in the group for a bit more diversity. Emma is a potential candidate for the Guild, but I still don't know what the others will think about her.
Ororo's condition of us creating a place like that is possible. I certainly hadn't planned for such a thing, but I can see how it can be worth the trouble. It's just a matter of how we will be able to find newly awakened mutants, but I'm sure I can replicate the device that Xavier uses.
Jean also urged me to consider it since one of her dream jobs was to be a teacher. Helping mutants learn how to control their powers was something she was happy to do.
I honestly considered the idea just because I wanted to see her dressed as a sexy teacher. That will be a sight to see.
School continued on, and interestingly enough, both the X-Men and the Brotherhood were nowhere to be seen. I have no idea what both groups were up to, but... I have an odd feeling about it. I'm just not sure what it is.
I contacted one of my clones, who was already looking around the city for anything connected to Essex, and told him to be on the lookout for the two groups.
Another clone was playing with Groot and creating Dungeons for him. For some reason, he loved bashing the Skeletons. That was a-okay with me since he can farm money for me.
The last clone was keeping watch over the house and reading the books I had left him. He was also researching and figuring out how to create an AI. The time dilation of the Mirror Dimension was more than helpful with that matter.
After school finished, all three of us made our way to a café. On the way, I sent a text message to Emma with the location of the building. Peter had already agreed to meet us there in the Guild chat, and he was waiting for us in front of the café.
While waiting for Emma, I kept joking with Peter about his "new" girlfriend. His face turned red like a tomato from embarrassment.
Soon enough, Emma walked in, and she spotted us easily. Emma was dressed in a short black skirt, a tight white button-up shirt, and high heels. Honestly, Emma looked pretty sexy, and I can understand why Kurt was openly ogling her and salivating.
However, she seemed to have enough money to purchase expensive brand clothes for someone who claimed to be in need of money. Or maybe she didn't even purchase them and just used her telepathy to get them for free. That's also a possibility.
Emma walked over and sat down on the only available spot between Peter and Kurt.
"Hello, I'm Emma Frost, nice to meet you," she introduced herself, trying to be as friendly as possible.
"Hi, I'm Kurt," he said dreamily.
"I'm, uh, Peter," he was just being his usual awkward self.
Jean didn't verbally introduce herself, but I saw Emma flinch for a second. The two were obviously having a telepathic conversation. I just hope nothing bad happens.
Shortly, Jean nodded at her, and Emma nodded back. Well, that went better than I expected.
"Well, this is Emma, and she would like to join our little group," I started after making sure no one was really listening to us.
"She is a good telepath and business savvy as she called herself," I said. They already knew that, but I might as well say it in front of her.
Emma didn't even get to say a word about herself before Kurt said, "I agree for her to join."
Of course, Kurt agreed. I didn't even doubt that he will refuse with the dreamy look he had on his face.
"Why, thank you, Kurt," Emma said sweetly with a smile, and I think I saw hearts in his eyes.
Emma then turned to me, "Now, I know you don't fully trust me, but I hope I can get to know all of you and get accepted in the group."
"I trust you," Kurt said, and I think I'm just gonna ignore everything he says today since it will be biased.
We then got to talk, sharing a few stories about ourselves. It was mostly Emma telling us about her recent past and her family. My Observe had informed me she had escaped due to the environment being toxic, but that may as well have been an understatement.
Her father, Winston Frost, simply didn't care about his family and only wanted to raise a proper heir. He treated everyone as disposable and only cared about his business.
Her mother, Hazel Frost, was a heavy alcoholic and druggie. She mostly stayed in her room, not caring the slightest about her children while being heavily intoxicated.
Her big sister, Adrienne Frost, was even worse than her father. She bullied and abused all of her siblings. Emma had suffered more than once due to Adrienne and has had all of her pets killed by her.
Her little sister, Cordelia Frost, was considered the lost cause of the family. She hated all of her relatives and constantly rebelled against them.
Her brother, Christian Frost, was the only one Emma had a relationship with. He was initially chosen as the heir of the family until Winston discovered he was gay. Not only did their father remove him from the inheritance, but he also got Christian's boyfriend deported and killed. Since then, he had become a drug addict, but he still kept a friendly relationship with Emma.
Emma was then chosen as the heir of the family since Adrienne wasn't fit to be a business owner, and Cordelia refused to learn anything about business and management.
Christian didn't care the slightest about that, neither did Cordelia, but Adrienne was a different story. She wanted to be the heir and became even crueler towards Emma, which resulted in her finally running away.
In a way, I kinda felt bad for her. Emma had never ever felt the love of a family. I didn't have my parents, but grandma showered me with more love than I could ever ask for.
I don't think Emma told us the full story, but my lying senses didn't tingle. Though, she may have told us all of that to get our sympathy.
All in all, I think the meeting went pretty well, and we decided to meet again soon. Just as we were leaving the café, we, or at least I, realized that something was wrong. The street was empty, and there was no one around us.
"What's going on?" Emma asked, looking around in panic and visibly scared. That was probably not the first time this has happened to her.
"I think those guys can answer that for us," I said, pointing at a group of four that were looking at us in the shadows of an alley.
[<Perfect Clone of Sabertooth> Victor Creed Lvl. 140
[Mutant Powers: Extreme Healing Factor; Enhanced Senses; Superhuman Physical Capabilities; Animal-like Claws and Teeth]
Damn, the guy looked like the bigger brother of Logan. Just as hairy and animal-looking. His suit was a lot better, though.
[<Clone of Prince Namor> Experiment N2 Lvl. ???]
{An improved clone of Prince Namor. Essex has upgraded him to be twice as strong while keeping the original's powers.}
[Powers: Aquatic Telepathy; Aquatic Healing Factor; Enhanced Senses; Superhuman Physical Capabilities; Hydrokinesis]
This one had gills on his forehead and pointed ears. He was also the first that wasn't a perfect clone, but an improved one.
[<Perfectly Bred Mutant> Hans Lvl. ???]
{Hans is the result of Essex's various experiments on both mutants and superhumans. He was bred as the perfect mutant.}
[Mutant Powers: Transcended Physical Capabilities; Flight; Strong Healing Factor; Optic Blasts]
Oh, I know about this one. There were notes about this guy in Essex's book. He was supposed to be a killing machine, but he has one glaring weakness, he is weak to mental attacks.
[<Mastermind> Jason Wyngarde Lvl. 88]
[Jason Wyngarde worked as a mentalist until he was recruited by both Essex and Max Eisenhardt. He is currently working for both and playing a double agent for both sides until he sees which one will be more beneficial for him fully commit to.]
[Mutant Powers: Mental Illusions; Memory Manipulation]
Oh, this is the first one that's not a clone, and I'm a bit unsure of what to do with him. I'll figure it out during the fight that's about to happen. Those four were tough opponents, but I'm sure that we can handle them.
