I couldn't believe it. This can't be true, right? What my dad is telling me right now, it can't be true!

I shook my head in disbelief. I tried to think back to the times my dad was talking about. I was only seven years old back then. I should still remember what happened.
I remember my childhood days, filled with memories of my happy family. It wasn't until Mom, and I had that accident that I realized it. But... why can't I remember anything about him?
Theodore Smith doesn't exist in any of my childhood memories! It's like a blank slate!
