"Cassie?" Alison whispered as she woke up and saw Cassie.
Cassie was changing into a new top since this one was drenched in sweat. Alison's body is weak. Her temperature has dropped slightly, just like Cassie's.
Alison was about to get up from her bed when Cassie quickly stopped her.
"Don't move," Cassie said gently, adjusting her clothes. "You need to rest, Alison."
"You don't have to do this, Cassie. I hope you just let me go," Alison said, avoiding eye contact.
Cassie fixed the blanket on Alison and sat down on the edge of the bed.
"I don't know what's going on between you and Theodore Smith, and I won't interfere anymore. I'm only here because you need me," Cassie said.
"I don't need anyone here, Cassie," Alison's cold tone made Cassie take a deep breath.
