Being Chased
Cassie was unaware of the passing of time. She had been lost in her thoughts for so long when she realized it was too late. She left her room for a few moments but didn't see Blake. She wondered where he went; wasn't he hesitant to walk out when he knew there were a lot of people lingering around the mansion, waiting for the appropriate moment to enter?
For a time, she wandered back and forth in the mansion's large living room, waiting for Blake to come. So, when she heard the sound of cars approaching, she ran out to meet them. Having anticipated Blake's entrance, she was dismayed when he failed to appear.
"Where is he?" Cassie asked Leo.
"He sent me home to watch over you. He still has something important to attend to, but he'll be here in a while." Cassie thought it was a sensible conversation. Is he not going to say anything next?
"Where?" she asked.
"Boss met with Mr. Heusaff."
"Is it business?"
