This new dress had retained the original shape and silhouette, but where the nasty gash used to be was now artfully concealed by a series of winding daisies embroidered into the fabric, reminiscent of the flower crowns Amelia had made with her mother.
Daisies were her mother's favorite flower.
Instinctively, her eyes watered as memories flooded her mind. Matteo squeezed her hand, and Amelia gave her a tiny sniff.
"Is this… alright?" Jenna asked hesitantly as her gaze darted from Amelia's wet eyes and Matteo's supportive silence. "Oh dear, here's a tissue, I'm sorry I had to change the design, but―"
"It's perfect, Jenna." Amelia swallowed the lump in her throat. "I love it. You've pulled off a miracle."
Amelia wasn't saying it to be polite.
In order for the new addition to not stand out, Jenna had also embroidered other parts of the dress, transforming the demure design into something more rustic, yet no less elegant.
