When Aria turned five her grandmother told her that their family has never been blessed with a mate and not having a mate doesn't mean they won't find love. When Aria turned eighteen, her desire to have a mate became stronger because her best friend whom she had a crush on found his mate and the pure joy in his eyes when he told her about the mate bond, place a emptiness in her heart. "You are special, Aria. You have the power to turn back time." That was what her grandmother told her when she claimed she was cursed and even though she was not satisfied with that answer, she never asked again. Two years later, Aria got a call from the hospital and found out that her grandmother has been poisoned and the only way for her to save her grandmother was to accept this deal made by the Alpha of the Shadow Moon pack "Marry Alpha Tristan, have him fall for you and then kill him." It was the only way to saved her grandmother so she agreed despite knowing that she was walking into a lion den, because how was she going to kill a man who despite losing both his sight and his mate, command enough power and authority to still be called a Alpha. How will Aria feel when she realized that the man she has been task to kill has been waiting for her for five lifetimes and have just two years left to live? What situation will Aria find herself that will require her to turn back time and what price will she pay for altering time itself? ----------- Excerpt Aria felt uneasy by his silence and wondered if it was the right moment to use the techniques, Hailey has taught her. Taking a deep breath, Aria stepped closer and closed her eyes as she brushed her lips against Tristan's. Tristan stiffened when he felt her lips on his and without thinking, he immediately pushed her away. Seeing the angry look on his face, Aria felt like it was all over; she was definitely going to be killed now. But Tristan expression was shadowed by more than anger. How had she gotten so close without him sensing her? And why--why was his heart racing like this?
Milan Central Hospital
"Her condition is perfectly stable."
Aria let out a sigh of relief after hearing Doctor Myles's statement.
"Whatever you gave me to inject into her has completely slowed down the poison, but according to the test result, it seems that it has only slowed down, and it is still in her blood." Doctor Myles said, and seeing Aria having no reaction to his words means she already knew that.
Hailey, who was beside Aria, said, "I will take care of all grandmother's expenses, so just ensure you take care of her."
Doctor Myles nodded and left the girls with the old woman.
Aria caressed her grandmother's gray hair and said, "You already know that I will do anything for you."
"But can you kill for her?"
Aria went silent for a little while before replying, "If that's what it takes, and besides, it's not as if I will be killing an innocent human being. Alpha Milton said Tristan is a monster, and even you once told me that they are rumors that say he killed his mate."
"And that should tell you how dangerous he is."
"How dangerous can a helpless blind man be?"
"Oh, he is not a helpless blind man, Aria. Alpha Tristan is the Alpha of the Golden Rills pack, the strongest pack in the world, and if you think no one has challenged him in his Alpha position ever since he got blind, then you are mistaken. I once overheard my father and brother talk about how Alpha Tristan ruthlessly killed two Alphas who had tried to challenge him."
"What?"
"You are underestimating him, and that is already a mistake. This man could kill you if he notices anything wrong or even for a second finds you suspicious."
"Then what should I do?" I can't let my grandmother die; I have to save her, and the only way for that to happen is to make Tristan choose me as his Luna tonight."
"Even that will be difficult, Aria. Tristan may be blind, but that does not mean women aren't standing in line to become his wife, and I'm sorry to say this, but you are not exactly Luna material."
"What's a Luna material?"
"You aren't from a pack, and apart from smelling like a wolf and barely even being able to heal like one, you have no other wolf qualities. A pack like the Golden Rills would need someone stronger, and even Tristan will choose someone who comes from a strong pack that can provide support to his own pack if the need may arise."
"I know what you are trying to say, but I still need to give this a chance. I don't have a choice." Aria said as her eyes became watery.
Hailey looked away when she saw Aria's teary eyes and didn't know what to do. Tristan would kill her if he noticed anything amiss, and it would be all her fault. She never should have told her father about Aria. Not once had she imagined that it would become such a big deal today.
Hailey bit her tongue to prevent herself from crying and sighed, "Well, if you are going to have any chance in seducing Alpha Tristan, then you need to learn how to flirt."
"Huh?"
"He may not be able to see, but he is still a man. I will teach you one or two things on how to seduce a man, and I sincerely hope you succeed."
Aria offered a weak smile and whispered, "Thank you."
....
KIRHA VILLA.
It was the night of the party, and instead of being there to choose a bride, Tristan was still in his villa, sitting on his couch and reading a book, with a glass of wine in front of him.
"Shouldn't you choose a bride before one is chosen for you?" Zolan, Tristan Wolf asked.
Tristan turned to the next page of the book in his hand, his eyes golden, a sign that he was using the eyes of his wolf to read.
"If you are going to ignore me, then it's better I leave you blind forever." Zolan scoffed.
Tristan sighed and closed his book. "I have already asked Cole to choose a suitable woman for me."
"We both know who your Beta is going to choose for you, and do you really want to spend the rest of your life with Xylia?"
"I plan to get rid of her after a month."
"Do you really think you can get rid of Xylia after a month?" Zolan asked; he was obviously irritated by Tristan's nonchalant attitude.
Tristan collected the glass of wine in front of him and emptied the glass before getting up. He went to his wardrobe and got dressed in a black suit. His dark hair neatly arranged and his beautiful golden eyes shined brightly.
He stared at himself in the mirror for a while before he heard Zolan asking, "Do you think we will meet her this time?"
"Is that why you want me to go to this party?" Tristan asked coldly, and when his wolf remained silent, he sighed and said, "She is dead, Zolan. Unlike us, she wasn't reincarnated, and if there is anything our last five reincarnations have taught us, it is that she will never be reincarnated."
Tristan smiled bitterly as he softly said, "Then again, if she was reincarnated, it wouldn't be seen as a punishment, right?"
Zolan became quiet and withdrew himself, making Tristan's once golden eyes become brown.
"That damn emotional wolf." Tristan whispered to himself, where all he could see was darkness again. Good thing, he had trained his other senses and could be functional even without his eyes.
He located his phone and pressed the spread dial button. As soon as Cole's voice was heard over the phone, he said, "Come pick me up."
"Yes, Alpha." Cole said excitedly.
Tristan ignored the excitement in his Beta voice, and as he waited for his Beta to arrive, a certain woman decided to invade his thoughts. How was it that he still remembered everything about her even after five lifetimes?
