Chapter 70 She's Alive 2

  Lukas was amused by their fight. He could recall how many times Alex tried to call Benson when he was away.  Alex was restless then, but he finally gave up when he could no longer contact the man for years. Their friendship started with Alex and Benson then Lukas.

He's always been the third wheel in this relationship cause he's a month younger than the other two men. They looked down on him and always find the slightest chance to spite him. He's known as "Lukas Viotto the peace maker" when this two grown ass men fight. But not today, today he is going to sit back and let them fight. He smiled cheapishly at his thought.

Doctor Phil walked into Alex's private lounge after an hour with some other doctors, "S-sir Alex!" He called and finally caught the man's attention. "How is she Phil?" Alex's anxiety came back as he saw the man walk in with a distressed facial expression.

"Do you have an idea of the substances she took?" Phil asked. "I have their containers with me!" Alex said bringing out the empty cans with him. Doctor Phil got hold of the empty cans. He scanned the name and returned his gaze to Alex. "Her blood test did not show this substances, but rather a more dangerous one. She took overdose of NSAID, she emptied two bottles of it. She was supposed to be dead thirty minutes after she took those drugs, but luckily she survived for five extra hours!" Phil said.

"The substance had more than enough time to spread around her body, I'm afraid her actions come with a price!" He paused. "What price?" Ben asked this time. "The drugs she took causes death and serious gastrointestinal bleeding, or can cause Ulcer. She managed to escape death but two awaits her. She's going to be on observation for now, cause we have not noticed anything yet!" Phil said.

He couldn't get enough of the hideous expression on the faces of the three Billoniares sitted there. "We'll have to wait for her to wake up. If she eventually wakes up and complains about any pain please do well to inform me right away!" Phil added. "The three men were dumbstruck by what they just heard.

Alex couldn't remember changing the substances in those containers, or was he played? He thought clenching his teeth together.

"So how's she doing now?" Lukas asked, "She's fine for now, all we have to do is wait for her to wake up!" Phil said to see the three men nod in agreement. He left after finalizing everything with them. The trio walked back into the room to see Hazel on the bed. "I'm so sorry Hazel, you just had terrible luck in marry a man who doesn't know how to value a woman!" Ben said.

Alex ignored whatever his friend was saying right now as that was the least of his problems. Soon an hour turned into a day, and one day turned into a week but Hazel's condition never changed. She was still in deep coma, Phil said she was fine from the medical reports he received but Hazel just didn't want to wake up.

Alex had to cancel their engagement party cause of her present condition, but he didn't tell his family members the reason for cancelling their engagement party, neither did he let anyone into his mansion. Elena was in charge of feeding and cleaning Hazel. Lukas tried to convince Carie that everything was fine but she still didn't believe him.
