An Eye For An Eye, A Tooth For A Tooth.

Eva felt a cold breath on her neck until she turned to see the man who helped her standing right in front of her, face almost touching.

Her heartbeat skipped and she blinked three times before pulling away.

Her heart was still beating heavily as a result of his proximity. Never had she been close to any man such way, except for those men who raped her. She had never even had a boyfriend before because of her manly behaviour. Not because she didn't look womanly but it was because she held herself higher than a woman should. Women were supposed to be respectful, hell, she was totally the opposite.

Saverio shut his mouth up when she turned around to look at him. He was almost close but she was too observant! He decided the best thing to do was to just walk out and go home! Now that he wasn't feeling that pain anymore, perhaps, he could be able to drive and then get Rhian to offer him his food before he turned nut.

Eva didn't say anything anymore, she only pulled the door open for him to pass through. She was entirely dumb and could only stare at him until he was gone completely. When she saw that he was out of view, she immediately banged the door closed and locked it.

Everyone had grown observant. Leaving your door open might result in ending up receiving an uninvited guest who will turn out to be a serial killer unexpectedly. It has been everyone's motto or warning now.

Eva held her chest and then turned, her back facing the door, however, she immediately ran to the window to check the strange man again.

Damn! He was so handsome and kind to have saved her but there was something weird about him! And again, what was he doing behind her when she was busy opening the door?

"Eva?" A sleepy voice called and Eva turned to see Cupid staring at her with a frown.

"Cupid?" She replied, half-heartedly. She was still annoyed by him. She was itching to beat him up but she knew he would beat her up if given the chance!

"I have been here for a while now, did you know?"

"No?"

"Who is he?"

"None of your business," Eva rolled her eyes and walked to the entrance leading to the passage but as she walked past Cupid, he held her wrist.

Eva looked up at him and could see that the sleepy face had turned completely into an annoying one.

Cupid smiled a little as she held her sister's wrist but Eva wriggled her hand off him. "Are you still annoyed with me?"

"Don't ever hold my wrist again, you bastard!" Eva blurted out.

"If you don't tell me who he is, I am going to go out by myself," he replied. Eva heard him but she stayed unmoving.

She was used to Cupid's useless threat but surprisingly, Cupid wasn't joking around this time. He walked to the entrance and was about to unlock it when Eva responded,

"Fine. I will tell you. If only you were not my brother I wouldn't have cared about you going out and getting killed by the serial killer!"

Cupid smiled as he retracted and stood before her, "Now tell me, big sis. Who is he and what was he looking for in our house?"

"I can only answer one. He saved me today. Actually, I was kidnapped by some faceless men but he saved me and brought me home!"

Cupid grew silent instantly. He then decided to ask, "Was that all you couldn't say before?"

"Argh. Cupid. Don't you get it? I didn't want you both worried and besides, I am your big sis, I have the right to keep whatever I want from you if it might worry you!"

Cupid nodded before walking out of her sight and then going back to his room.

Meanwhile, when Saverio almost got to his car, he saw someone standing beside it and he grew defenseful, ready to strike.

Saverio stopped outrightly when he heard Rhian's voice, "Brother!"

When he got to his car, he stopped. He looked over at Rhian standing beside him with a questioning look. Immediately knowing what his brother meant by his look, he replied,

"He is in the car!"

Hearing that, with no hesitation, Saverio opened the passenger's door.

A man sat on one of the seats. His hands were tied and his mouth was blocked. He was waggling in his seat.

When his eyes set upon a white-haired man, his heart started beating loudly. Could this man be here to pay him back for what he did to his daughter? Was he the serial killer everyone talked about? The serial killer rumoured to be the, "angel of justice?"

Saverio rudely removed whatever was blocking the man from speaking and the poor man shouted in response.

"Help me!"

Before he could call for help again, Saverio clenched his fist and then held the man by his head. After a while, his claws grew and he plunged it into his chest.

However, Rhian spotting this opened his eyes widely, he wasn't expecting Saverio to eat hurriedly without wearing his gloves.

A bloody heart was seen in his hand as he removed his hand from the victim's body.

Seeing the heavy and bloody organ in his hand, he smirked and then stared at it. Suddenly, her opened his mouth which grew wider by the second and then he dropped the heart in his mouth in the process. If someone else was there, they would have collapsed in fear, even Rhian was completely terrified the first time he witnessed the widening of his mouth in order to give space to the meat.

After completely chewing and regaining his strength, Saverio uttered, "An eye for an eye."

"A tooth for a tooth," Rhian replied.

Saverio was satisfied, his hunger had immediately disappeared and the pain that swallowed his body had disappeared along. He turned to Rhian, "My hands are all over him, do something about it!"
