The Arannor Kingdom II

Arannor Westian sat on his throne, a mysterious expression on his face. He'd heard about an army's suspicious movement.

Aside from that, another piece of bad news had arrived a few days ago, which had hit him hard. He never imagined they'd lose to that point in such a short period of time.

"How did it all happen?" Has the kingdom's best army, led by Marshal Selek Valaunter, just been defeated? Their troops are now stationed in front of the capital, attacking the defensive walls." He was still perplexed by the events on the battlefield, which he thought were irrational.

They did not perform particularly well. However, they still have a significant advantage. Unfortunately, what he expected did not occur, and the result was chaos.

His dispersed army had only managed to assemble half of it, which he used to protect the capital and assist the defense forces.

Arannor Westian gathered the cultivators and his generals inside the royal hall. He delegated one of them to guard the walls while the others remained in the Royal Hall with him.

He needed them to foresee the enemy's arrival in the kingdom. Even though he was confident that the enemy would not breach the defensive wall, he couldn't rule out other possibilities.

"Our situation is now deteriorating. I'm not sure if our troops will have returned from the battlefield and reinforced the defenses. They were, however, defeated. The burdens and feelings of those who had just had a meltdown... would undoubtedly influence how they fought. This is not something I want. You are the main defense wall of this kingdom, as well as the shield and spear that will destroy them!!"

Westian has a very intimidating and tense expression on his face. It appeared as if a huge burden was haunting and pressing on him. His initially unappealing expression changed to reveal a steadfast side of fighting.

If Selek Valaunter could be defeated, not many people would be able to defend against such an opponent.

"Even if your strength isn't on par with Marshal Selek Valaunter's. I firmly believe that if you all work together to destroy the man who defeated him, victory will be on our side. The kingdom will not be protected for long by the wall. Perhaps soon... No, the voices are becoming more audible, do you know what they mean?"

Even though he was in the palace, his hearing was acute enough to pick up on the sounds of battle and metal clashing. He knew the outcome would be this way because they had lost their most important pillar.

He couldn't, however, just sit back and take it for granted. As a result, he continued to fuel his subordinates' fighting spirit.

One of the cultivators stepped into the center of the hall, kneeling on one leg, with a ruthless, hairless face and drooping eyes.

"I apologize, Your Majesty. I don't believe the time has come to discuss or plan a fight with the man who defeated Marshal Selek Valaunter. If my words are incorrect, Your Majesty has the authority to punish me. I believe that now is the time for all of us here with the lowest cultivation levels to come out and assist with defense, while those with higher levels can listen to His Majesty's plans."

Westian was unmoved and his expression remained unchanged. As he listened to it, he remained calm. Westian spoke after a few seconds of silence following the cultivator's words.

"You are correct. Those of you with cultivation levels lower than the 2-0 stage should immediately leave this area and assist the defense. It makes no difference what the situation is like there. You must eliminate as many of their troops and Cultivators as possible!!"

The entire royal hall went into a frenzy as soon as he finished saying it. Those who had been assigned to leave immediately left and vanished from his sight, leaving several people standing, not moving an inch.

Westian sat on the throne, holding a sword and wearing armor. An artifact in the shape of armor that has been passed down from generation to generation.

The artifact was still shiny despite being jet black, and he wore it comfortably. He was unconcerned about the dangers he would face on the battlefield as long as he wore this armor.

As several men in the hall stared at him silently, waiting for an order, his sword stabbed right in front of his eyes.

"Once they break through our defense, I can't guarantee victory will be on our side. This kingdom suffered greatly as a result of their demise. I have no idea where that guy is! Even if we're shattered!! Don't go through it alone. We'll drag them down the abyss of hell to make sure we get them. What else is there to worry about? Nothing, nothing, nothing. Everything is crystal clear. There is only war in the near future, and death will accompany it!"

"Yes, Your Majesty," an elderly man said proudly as he approached Westian. "Only cowards and trash were able to flee this situation. When the enemy is right in front of your eyes, no matter what excuse they have! Take out your weapon! Cut them and slash them! Even if you don't end up with any!"

"Ha ha ha ha ha!! It appeals to me! If you have a high cultivation and have been mentioned by the Marshal, it's not a bad idea. Unfortunately, you don't want a job title and simply want to live here comfortably. Your assistance... It's something I'll remember and appreciate. Defeat them and live!! I'll take part in the process!"

When one of the cultivators said something that made Westian laugh, he burst out laughing. He didn't act right away and instead waited for something to happen. Despite the fact that the sound of the battle was becoming more audible, he knew that his troops had defended well and had not allowed the enemy to act freely.

So long as he hasn't felt compelled to enter. He'd keep his throne with those cultivators.

"Can you guys deal with that man later? All I know is that there is only one person who possesses the Salauster Kingdom's terrifying power. However, he hasn't appeared in a long time. Not Richard Veus, who is a formidable opponent but not a match for Marshal Selek Valaunter. Well, if that's him, you're in for a treat. You will gain notoriety that will reverberate throughout regions and kingdoms!"

Westian did not put out the fire that was burning within those cultivators. In any case, the unease must be present in their minds as well as in himself. Despite having abilities that could help him, he was well aware that using them too frequently would be detrimental to his health.

"Just a moment, and we'll be there." Yes... Wait for the voices to quiet down! We'll be out as soon as the sound dies away!" Westian smiled and let go of his aura.
