Luna isn't just a simple girl. Others might perceive her as such but this book smart person is hiding something deep in her mind. She promised to hide it forever and lived as a normal person would but some force didn't want to waste such talent. One unlucky day, she found herself in a mysterious place untouched by the modern stuff she's familiar with. The people wear weird clothes, the houses looked old-style, and everything is so simple. It might look simple on the surface but that world had always been full of mysteries hidden deep within and waiting to be found. The place is just like her. She did her best to keep her secrets but the longer she lived there, the harder it is to hide her secrets in the dark. "There's no helping it, let's just embrace the truth," she uttered. "Keep it easy, young lady," a man in his deep, cold voice appeared behind. "Alright" "B-but get away from me" ------ Daily updates
When Luna finished the mundane repetitive practice of time freeze, she proudly faced Akiro only to see the latter devoid of any emotion.
"Luna," he said.
She looked at him with creased brows while she murmured to herself how he suddenly went overly strict on training. Luna had promised herself to learn magic on par with him so she stopped herself from complaining and willingly endured all of it.
"You indeed have the great capability of wielding that power temporarily but you have to keep in mind not to use it recklessly. The constant use of it with only a second of rest in between will make any person notice that something's wrong with their surroundings," Akiro said while giving her the book that he was holding earlier which she took quickly.
"What is this for?" Luna said.
"That's a book I made myself. It tells about a deeper knowledge of time powers. Study it carefully and I'll ask some questions to you, later on, to make sure that you really read and understand it," Akiro answered.
Luna somehow felt insulted but she chose to ignore it as she did not find the importance of bragging about her capabilities especially in her memorization and comprehending skills. It was a book they're talking about, everything that was about it was her specialty.
"Uhm," she uttered and stared at it. The book had a dark brown hard-bound cover and nothing was written on it. She opened and skimmed the pages and estimated that it has around 150 sheets of old-looking paper. The letters also looked like a hand-written one in a nice cursive form.
'What a good handwriting!' Luna thought.
"Although we still are not finished with our training so place it first on the table for the time being," he said.
"Alright," she uttered.
After that Akiro gave her a piece of paper that was on the table where he put the book.
"This is an incantation for a teleportation spell. As my teleportation became limited, learning it will be beneficial for our next tasks. First, you should learn the most basics of teleportation by using a common spell," he said.
After that, something bothered Luna. "Then you aren't the only one that can use teleportation?" she asked.
Akiro nodded. He did not know that Luna would be able to realize it and she was easily adapting to Vermillion's environment with ease. Sometimes, Akiro wasn't sure if he really knew her but he couldn't be wrong since he identified her whole identity before meeting her. Although he couldn't understand some of Earth's terms like technology, computer, and the likes.
"The Academy and higher-ups can use a teleportation spell but it isn't as easy as what I use. They're only able to teleport at certain places with the use of the Yellowbridge stone which is a known limited resource. It was then placed in different halls for them to reach a certain place. Moreover, it expended a huge amount of magic so it was mostly used for important events.
"What will I show you are spreading a Yellowbridge stone dust in circles around this room and you have to practice teleporting until you can do it without one," Akiro explained.
Luna nodded. She also wondered how Akiro got that rare stone even though the higher-ups were even limited with it but it was her training hours so she shrugged it for now. Then, she's tasked to memorize the spell in the piece of paper while he's busy placing the Yellowbridge stone dust around.
Nonetheless, her eyes slightly twitched after reading the words she needed to chant.
"Space, village, nation, five Yellowbridge stone, dust, tree, plant, gate, house, 1783, magic-user.....," Luna uttered.
Some of the words written were very random. Luna couldn't imagine how she would have to go to great lengths if she happened to have low memorization skills. Akiro would have looked at her in disdain.
"W-who invented this spell?" Luna uttered.
"It's not important. Memorize it instead of thinking about meaningless things," Akiro said.
She ended up rolling her eyes and started to memorize it. 'I'll definitely make sure to do amazing feats, you'll see hmp,' Luna thought.
With her raging fighting spirit, Luna finished her task before Akiro completed spreading the Yellowbridge stone dust.
"I'm finished!" Luna said.
"That fast? Never mind let's start. Step on that circle and chant those words first," Akiro said.
The random words of the teleportation spell quickly took action when Luna finished uttering the last word. Then she found herself in a different circle and concluded that it was the nearest one to where she first stepped on. Her eyes lit up in amazement.
"What do you feel?" Akiro said as he could not deduce what she felt. The teleportation spell used a lot of magic but she's just standing there with a grin on her face.
"Uhm, happy?" Luna said. She could not understand his dumbfounded expression thus ended up thinking that something should have happened and thought hard about what it is.
"Don't you sense your magic depleting or feeling exhaustion? As I've said it should deplete magic," Akiro said.
Nonetheless, Luna gave her a scornful expression. "As a person that has half your magic within me, shouldn't you realize how huge amount of magic I have? If not I think that I wouldn't have easily learned everything you taught," she explained.
Akiro was stunned. He suddenly forgot that the person in front of her had a huge amount of magic and she was not a rookie that was just starting to expand her natural magic source. Although he did not say that she indeed had the talent, the ones that could easily comprehend and do magic in actual practice with ease.
"I suddenly forget but the thing I'm confused about is how your body quickly adapts in using advanced magic. You usually hasten your breath after practice like earlier but it seems non-existent now," Akiro explained.
He was right. Luna checked her condition and it really didn't happen. All she could think of was the explanation he had said. Her body had adjusted to Vermillion's environment.
"Maybe that's the reason," Luna uttered.
Seeing her confusion, Akiro let this pass for today and just continued to observe her condition. "Let set it aside for now. Continue practicing," he said.
Hearing that, Luna began chanting and she teleported one by one in the circle made of Yellowbridge stone. At first, her tiredness could not be seen but after a hundred more tries but she felt that her body was going numb even though she sensed that her magic source was still huge enough.
"Stop, well done," Akiro said.
"Uhm," Luna uttered. She immediately stopped and stood straight with all her best as she didn't want to fall and end it like that.
"It's done for today. You'll repeat that tomorrow. Let's head outside," Akiro said.
Wishing for her legs to walk steadily and return to normal, a faint glow appeared into her legs
Luna suddenly found herself running and had bumped into Akiro's back.
"Sorry!" she said.
"What's wrong?" Akiro said. He faced her and examined Luna but nothing was wrong except for her walking speed control.
"N-nothing, I suddenly walked fastly," Luna said.
She found it confusing because her legs went numb earlier so she put all her force to walk and suddenly, its numbness went away.
"Say so if you can't walk, I'll bring you downstairs," Akiro said.
"Thanks but it seems to have healed now, unexpectedly," Luna said and showed how she could jump several times and was completely fine.
"H-how," Akiro uttered.
Nonetheless, they were interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Enter," he said.
Miss Zione entered the room and announced a piece of important news. "Master, the young lady of Noble Lilieth sent a message that she'll be visiting together with her older brother," Miss Zione said.
"What?" Akiro said.
"So many visitors these days," he whispered.
Luna heard that and she somehow agreed. Also, visitors were always visiting the mansion when they were training.
