Ali had already gotten used to it since he had his own Spirit Spy, so he wasn't surprised. But he got interested when the originally omnidirectional Spiritual Detection slowly contracted, and began to extend towards the front.
The three dimensional scenes to his left and right had disappeared, and only the three dimensional image in front of him remained. Furthermore, the range of this image was slowly increasing.
This was interesting for Ali, but not that much. The reason why Yuhao tried this is most likely because the range of his Spirit Spy isn't that large.
However, Ali's Spirit Spy could cover 75,000 meters! He didn't need to do that when he could see everything in 75 km!
But he noticed how much spiritual energy this kind of usage of the Spirit Spy costs when Yuhao wobbled and nearly fell.
However, Ali gently grabbed him and helped him stand upright :"Yuhao, are you alright? What happened suddenly?"
Wang Dong was annoyed with how close Yuhao was to Ali, but he could clearly see how tired Yuhao was :"Yuhao, what's wrong?"
Yuhao's complexion had turned pale, and an overflowing amount of cold sweat had covered his forehead. He seemed to have an extremely weak expression.
Yuhao waved his hand while panting slightly, indicating that he's alright :"It was just that it became quite a large drain on my spiritual energy.
Brother Ali, Wang Dong, when you were looking straight ahead earlier, how far did my Spiritual Detection reach?"
Ali took a moment to think about it, but unfortunately, he was shit in directions and knowing the distance.
'dude, do you think that I can measure the distance or something???' Ali really wanted to say it, but he held back as he turned to Wang Dong :"Wang Dong, how far was it?"
Wang Dong was a little confused as to why Ali asked him, but he answered after a moment of thinking :"I wasn't paying too much attention, but it seemed to be about fifty to sixty meters.
However, I noticed that I wasn't able to see anything with Spiritual Detection in the other directions. The distance nearly doubled in the front, but that was it."
When he heard what Wang Dong had said, Yuhao's spirits immediately rose, so much so that even his exhaustion decreased by a large amount :"That's great! It actually works if I do it like this. However, the drain on my spiritual energy is a bit too much."
Ali smiled as he patted his shoulder :"don't worry, Yuhao. The reason for why your spiritual energy was drained so fast is because you are still inexperienced in it.
This was your first time, so don't worry about it. After you practice it, you will definitely learn how to do it right. Let's go now, we shouldn't be late."
First year Class 1. All ninety one students were already seated in class ten minutes before the afternoon bell had rung.
Furthermore, there was an unusual silence amongst the classroom. None of the students dared to cause any noise.
This is probably why it was said "It's not a bad thing for a teacher to be strict sometimes, since making students study seriously has many advantages".
Even Ali, Wang Dong and Yuhao were in silence. Yuhao and Wang Dong looked like they were deep in thought, so Ali was bored as he looked outside.
As Zhou Yi slowly walked into the classroom, the atmosphere within Class 1 turned solemn. Yuhao and Wang Dong also awakened from their pondering.
Although not much time had passed, Yuhao had already recovered a great deal of his spiritual energy and soulforce, mostly because he didn't have that much soulforce to begin with. At the very least, he didn't feel weak anymore.
"Everyone, stand up and gather in the plaza." Unexpectedly, Zhou Yi said this immediately after entering the classroom, before instantly turning around to leave.
No one dared to waste any time, except Ali was as nonchalant as ever, with a bored look on his beautiful face.
A crowd of students rapidly left the classroom and followed Zhou Yi in an orderly, quiet manner to Shrek Plaza.
They didn't notice that Zhou Yi unexpectedly had a smile hidden within her eyes. This teacher, who was strict to the point of being somewhat perverted, was currently thinking that there were definitely some advantages to teaching new students.
At least these new students were less unruly, which made them easier to control. They weren't like those students from the third year or higher, who were more arrogant and rebellious since they already had certain accomplishments.
A pile of iron chains had been piled up on Shrek Plaza at some unknown time. Under Zhou Yi's command, the students arranged them neatly.
"Ashborne Ali, come to the front." Zhou Yi called out as she stood in front of the students. Ali walked forward with a nonchalant and bored smile :"here, ma'am."
Zhou Yi nodded and looked at the students :"I've flipped through your entrance test results, and I've added them to the test that we performed this morning.
Currently, out of all of you, Ali has the highest level of cultivation. Because of this, I hereby declare that he'll be the class monitor of Class 1 from now on.
The class monitor position is a volatile one, and whoever has the strength to beat him may do so and replace him as the new class monitor. Do you all understand?"
"We understand." The gazes from a few male students who had a high amount of self confidence in their strength immediately turned sharp, however, they all knew that none of them were his match.
After all, the majority of the students hadn't even reached level 20. Going against Ali who was already a level 30 soul elder was a death wish.
There were also a few guys that actually looked at Ali while blushing a little. Most of the girls were also glaring at him, after all, his looks were leagues above them even though he was a guy.
Zhou Yi pointed towards the iron chains in front of her :"These are suits of chainmail specialized in strengthening your physical fitness.
Every single one of you will take one. After you've put them on, start running around the plaza.
You'll keep running from now until the bell signalling the end of class rings. You can use your soul power, but you can't use any soul skills."
After she finished speaking, she flicked her toe, and a full set of chainmail made out of thick iron chains flew towards Ali.
He caught them nonchalantly and without a problem before he put them on. When he put them on, his eyebrow rose in interest :'heh, this chainmail weighs are rather heavy. The weak students are really unlucky to be in teacher Zhou's class.'
The other students also all ran up and grabbed a set of chainmail. The male students were slightly better off, while a majority of the female students turned pale after putting the heavy chainmail on.
Random student number 1 :"waah! These weight at least 15 kilograms!"
Random student number 2 :"We girls have to wear these too?!"
Random student number 3 :"so heavy!"
Random student number 4 :"my abilities are for support!"
Zhou Yi coldly snorted without kindness in her eyes :"I know that a lot of you think that this is unfair because there's an innate gap between the bodies of men and women.
That the physical fitness levels of tool, beast, and battle soul masters are different. However, I want to tell you that I treat everyone equally in my class.
Think about it! If you were on the battlefield, would your enemy spare you simply because you're a girl or a tool master? No, they will target you first!"
The entire class went silent as no one dared to disagree. Not just because they were afraid of Zhou Yi, but also because she had a point.
Zhou Yi folded her arms under her chest with a cold look :"There's something I need to emphasize. In my class, eliminations won't just happen during exam periods; they can happen at any time.
Today, ninety one people will become ninety people. The person who comes last will be kicked out." Hearing her, all the students were horrified as they immediately started running.
Random student number 1 :"no way?!"
Random student number 2 :"god!"
Random student number 3 :"waa! The monster is freaking out again!"
Random student number 4 :"I can't take it anymore, I won't be kicked out!"
With Ali leading, they collectively ran towards the edge of the field, and started running with heavy chainmail on their bodies.
Nobody wanted to be eliminated. Once they started running, the vigor with which they ran was completely different compared to that morning.
But amazingly, Ali was as nonchalant as ever! Looking like he didn't care at all as he ran. Why would he be nervous when Shrek Academy was literally his home?
Wang Dong also followed Ali closely. No matter whether it was his martial soul or his soul power, he was a figure that excelled within the group of students.
Although he was wearing a suit of chainmail, his speed didn't decrease in the slightest. Ali smirked at him as he ran :"hey there, what's up?"
Both of them ran without their speed decreasing at all. Wang Dong smirked slightly as well :"nothing much. You seem like you're not worried at all."
Ali snorted as shrugged with a smirk :"why would I be worried? I've done exercises many times harder than this. This is just child play at this point. Just a nice workout."
A few male students wanted to compete with the two also charged forward, closely following them.
Wang Dong rolled his eyes with slight annoyance :"yeah, yeah, whatever. You're awesome, we got that.
But what about Yuhao, he's the weakest in clas- he's already in last place?! Why is he running so slowly?! Is he not in a hurry?"
When they both glanced back, Wang Dong was immediately shocked by how slowly Yuhao was running.
He looked like he had already given up. But Ali smirked, clearly noticing what he's doing. He was glad that Yuhao was so patient.
Yuhao was seriously the weakest in soul power level, so his stamina would also run out faster than others.
If he wanted to persevere, he needed to stay patient and set a steady pace instead of panicking like these idiots.
Zhou Yi had said that they had to run until the bell rang, yet the afternoon class was nearly four hours long.
It had just started! The most reasonable target that he'd formulated for himself was to persevere and to simply run until the bell rang; not to compete with the others.
The reason why Ali was running at such a fast speed was because it was his normal speed. After all, he was a level 30 soul elder, and the 6 ten thousand year soul rings along with the passive ability of his Majestic Heart martial soul had resulted in his body being far more stronger than a normal level 30 soul elder.
However, all these other people just wanted to compete against each other. Pure foolishness. Ali knew that Wang Dong might try to compete against him to show off, so he was going slower than normal so Wang Dong wouldn't run out of stamina too early.
But Yuhao was clearly the smartest of all the others, even though he was the slowest. His speed was clearly much slower than the others when he started.
Yuhao looked on as everyone overtook him one by one, but he didn't become impatient. His steps were slightly slower, but they were stable as he ran forward.
After only two laps, Yuhao was dead last. Even the female students had overtaken him. However, he didn't take it to heart.
When he reached his fourth lap, the people in the first and second place, Ali and Wang Dong, had already lapped him once.
When Wang Dong passed him, he even gave him a flabbergasted look while Ali smiled and waved lightly at him.
