Prologue

Our story turns us to Zack Brown an average high school student currently drooling on his desk deep in a slumber. The only somewhat notable thing about Zack is his shoulder length blonde hair and deep blue eyes. He's got a handsome face and good body from working out, but nothing you would see in a magazine. However he's been cursed since he was little. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child he's got a somewhat cynical look on life. Some people think he's hiding his intelligence, but his teachers and grades would like to disagree.

Being a high schooler in America during the legalization of cannabis has led to a somewhat drug induced life. He started with weed but eventually got into pills and alcohol. Specifically opiates. Despite being a hooligan he's charismatic enough and has friends all throughout the school. At least many know of him for what he does. A hand slams on his desk interrupting his dream,

"Wake up! I'm getting sick of your behavior Zack! How are you even going to choose your first world without paying attention in my class. The college exams are in a few hours you know!"

Zack's head shoots up, his eyes glassy for a moment before taking a look at his teacher. What surprises him is that she is wearing what seems to be a Star Wars costume. Looking around no one else seems to be wearing weird clothes so he asks,

"What's up with the cosplay, Mrs. P? Sorry for sleeping during class, I didn't get enough rest last night."

The teachers face gets really gloomy and she seems somewhat mad. "Have you forgotten the world we live in? I as a Jedi Knight of course dress the part!"

Zack looks at her dazed then stifles a laugh, "Pfft- Ok then Mrs. P, whatever you say. Let me know when I can meet Yoda."

Mrs. P. proceeds to rap him on the head with her hand for his disrespect. As she does a flood of memories rush into Zack's brain knocking him unconscious. It turns out this is not his original world. He has crossed into a parallel version of himself. Mostly the same life, same brother, etc. But in this world there is a Main God Space that this world is centered around.

This space, aptly named "God's Gift," allows people to visit various works of fiction, fantasy, and mythology that he is familiar with. But this is not the catch, you can bring back the powers you gain, the knowledge learned, and items acquired into the real world.

Zack learns all this in his unconscious state and as he comes to in the nurses office of his school he is astounded. Looking out the window he sees a world that is familiar yet totally unfamiliar. New sci fi buildings reside alongside wizard towers. Hover cars float through the air, while a few people on the ground ride on giant lizards. Sifting through this parallel Zack's memories he doesn't see any of the related works of fiction available for purchase and consumption in this world.

Zack mutters under his breath, "This means only I know the plot of these worlds?"

"I'm sorry what did you say?" His teacher Mrs. P. is sitting on the chair next to him with a somewhat worried look on her face. She proceeds to say, "Never mind, the exams start in twenty minutes. You need to hurry if you don't want to be late!"

Sorting through his memories Zack realizes as a high school senior, in the end of the year, students are given their first chance to enter God's Gift and participate in their first world. This choice is very important, but not much is known about these worlds and the school gives recommendations based on public knowledge.

For example, Naruto, Harry Potter, and other worlds with a learnable power system are recommended, whereas students wishing to visit worlds such as Marvel are advised against it due to the extreme luck or knowledge required to succeed. Luckily students are allowed as a newcomer bonus, to choose the time and place of their first world. The space will give them an appropriate identity such as the potential for magic in Harry Potter.

Mrs. P. takes Zack to the room for the graduating class to enter the space, he sits in one of the empty seats and as the principal gives the go ahead for everyone to enter the space something connects to everyone's minds. As if by just thinking about it you can enter the Main God Space. One by one people disappear from the room. Zack takes a deep breath somewhat flustered by the suddenness of everything. He then proceeds to enter the God's Gift.
