The interview had gone smoother than Emily had hoped for; the detective had asked her everything that he needed from her that you needed from her, and she swiftly answered them with calmness in her voice.
"Did you see anything out of the ordinary at Dr. Kennedy's house?" The detective asked her. Emily looked at the ceiling as though she were trying to find her answer in the air and smirked before responding, "No, I saw nothing strange other than he was on the floor and bleeding, but at the time he had already passed away when I touched his pulse."
The detective looked puzzled by the mystery of Dr. Kennedy's death, so much so that he deposited his pen on the table and clasped his hands together. "Honestly, Mrs. Sorrentino, thank you for allowing me to interview you and for being so open," he answered, looking puzzled.
"Are we done yet?" Emily asked, as she was beginning to get impatient with sitting around and waiting for absolutely nothing.
