Alliana's pov:
As the soft glow of the television pierced through the darkness of my room, I stirred from my slumber, my eyelids fluttering open to reveal the familiar sight of the series I had watched late into the night still playing on the screen. With a tired yawn, I stretched my limbs, feeling the stiffness of sleep slowly dissipating as I adjusted to the gentle illumination.
Glancing at the digital display of the alarm clock, I noted the time with a sense of mild surprise—it was only 9:10 in the morning. While the hour seemed early by most standards, it felt oddly late to me, accustomed as I was to rising with the dawn during my time in Rome, where mornings held a sense of bustling activity and purpose.
