Sebastian's mood turned sour instantly.
He was so happy for a minute there, thinking Winter could stay by his side, sharing their desk as CEO. But she decided to do something far away from him.
"I don't think the finance department needs any help. They're doing their job just fine," Sebastian said. "If you don't want to work with me, then at least help Iris with her crazy workload. How about you become my private secretary?"
"Private secretary?" Winter raised a brow. "You know I own this company, right?"
"You don't need to repeat it a hundred times, I know!" Sebastian replied. "I just think that, since you are so suspicious of me, maybe you should work near me so you'll know what I am doing every day."
It was actually a good idea, since she knew that Sebastian would betray her eventually. She disliked that she had to see Sebastian's face every day, but staying close to him meant he couldn't do anything too damaging, like seizing her fortune.
