Chapter 22

Finally, that day arrived.

"Are we ready?" Sakura asked.

The day of the second guild battle was here.

"I'm pretty sure." I nodded.

Ever since that night I spoke with Dana, he joined our guild. I was ecstatic. Without him, I'm not sure if we would win.

Waiting to be sent to the arena, we all were gathering out armors and weapons together. "You all have your skills ready, right?" I asked my guild members.

"Yep." They all answered in unison.

The pain in my chest began to grow. I was nervous. This wasn't a good nervousness, however. It wasn't like the butterflies you feel when you give a presentation. This was the type of feeling that you don't know if you will survive or not. Will we kill or be killed?

"Hello everyone!!" An announcement popped up in our notifications. "How's life in Issekai New World? (｡• . •｡)? Getting used to it? Well, no matter what, get ready for the second weekly guild war! "'Change it up a bit?' What does the developer mean by that?" Sakura asked.

"I don't know, but I have a bad feeling about this," I said while rereading the announcement.

As we were reading the announcement, we suddenly got sent to the arena. This time, however, it wasn't just us and another guild.

"What's with this?" Yazoyo looked around at the crowd of people in the arena.

"What? Why are there more people here?" Another person asked.

Instead of having guild versus guild, I'm having guilds versus guilds! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ Isn't this more fun! This time, I'm going to be nicer. Instead of having an insane little amount of people live, I'm going to have it at 20 guilds at most can stay alive. Σ (꒪◊꒪ )))) Wow! (✪▽✪) Aren't I nice?"

"Only that much?" Someone out in the crowd exclaimed.

"What? (o.o)? You aren't happy with my generosity? Should I decrease it?" The developer sent out another announcement.

I then quickly replied. "No, it's fine. 20 is a good amount. You're good at being generous."

"Hehe. ( *´ ♡ `* ) Flattery won't get you anywhere, you worthless piece of crap.

Only 20 was what I was thinking. That means we will have to kill off 10 guilds. And usually, each guild has about 5 to 6 people in them. So, that would be killing 50 to 60 people. That is still a lot.

"You all ready for the battle of a lifetime? Ye━━♡(ง♡0♡)ง♡━━s!!"

Everyone in the arena became silent. The silence feels like a metaphor. One for when we all will disappear. Wondering who will live or not is a good question to ask.

"I said, are you all ready!?"

Out of fear all of us answered. "Yes!"

"Then, let the games begin. ( ˙꒳​˙ )"
