Madison's grip tightened around the hilt of her sword, the cold steel providing a tenuous link to reality amidst the suffocating miasma of dread that seemed to permeate every crumbling stone.
As they delved further into the cavernous depths of Kragmoor Keep, the shadows seemed to take on a life of their own, writhing and twisting in the flickering torchlight like living entities. Twisted shapes lurked in every corner, half-glimpsed nightmares that threatened to overwhelm Madison's senses with their sheer, primal wrongness.
