Three to One

The two had to stop for lunch. They only need a little bit more time to finish but then a strong wind appeared. It blew away the dry leaves left on the trees and roofs. They have to sweep again but not before removing the leftovers in the branches and roof.

Xiao Yan sighed as she sat, "The task is easy but I would have preferred to hunt beasts. It provides more points and I enjoy doing it as well."

As if he was waiting for them to finish, Zhi Li arrives just as the two took a rest. Xiao Yan saw him but did not pay too much attention. She was trying her best to not look too bad in front of Mu Yue.

"I gave the task to the both of you to see your patience. The test failed as it seemed that you two will accomplish anything as long as you both do it together. That is a good result tho." Zhi Li said as he approached the two.

Mu Yue then stood from sitting beside Xiao Yan "So what are we going to do now, father? We finished the task and we would report to the mission hall after we rest for a bit."

"This task is just a warm up or at least something to give to you two to make you familiar about the missions. After this, you two are free to do any task you want. As long as it's available to your rank, I would not be worried." Both of the girls just finished advancing to the Foundation Establishment. Zhi Li was worried that they might do something ridiculous that is outside their level.

Xiao Yan then asked, "Is this really your favorite spot, old man? It looks good but not being attended for some time makes someone guess that it got abandoned."

"It's just a random courtyard. Also, I ordered them to not clean it since you two were at the 9th step of Qi Condensation. I have already planned this task for a long time now." Zhi Li replied.

Mu Yue and Xiao Yan spent the rest of their time back at their house. Their topic was about the agreement during the tournament of schools.

"We should change the term 'command' to 'favor'. It just sounds wrong to say it to a lover..." Xiao Yan mentioned. She was the one who initiated that but she did not really planned it since she just said it in the spur of the moment.

"Sure. Are you going to use your's? You have 3 while I only have 1. I've been thinking since the day I got it to how I will effectively use it against you-" Mu Yue realized she said too much. She glanced towards Xiao Yan and saw her staring at her.

"Don't worry. I won't be mad if you are gonna use it like that. Although... one who kills should be prepared to get killed. I will certainly do a payback if it happens hehe." Xiao Yan said. She was also waving at Mu Yue using a hand that has three fingers straightened, making sure that the threat is understood well.

Mu Yue whined, "That is unfair! I don't mind receiving your payback... but thrice? I am also weaker at scheming, surely you will have a revenge that is worse than what I would do."

"The world was never fair, Mu Yue. Are you gonna go back on your words?"

"No, I make sure to do my promises."

"Good, expect one to be used tomorrow. I saw that you are looking forward to it so I had no choice but to use one. Atleast it is now one step closer to zero." Xiao Yan laughed. She will have a lot of fun using this.

"Is it to have the proper rights to tickle me? Make me eat your food? It is scary to think that I only know these things..." Mu Yue sighed. These two were quite unforgettable to her.

"No spoilers as it will spoil the fun." Xiao Yan mentioned. She then added, "I do things for my enjoyment but with me constantly being by your side, I know the limits. Actually, I don't know what I will make you do. Let's just go to sleep and I might dream of something haha."

"Don't dream about me please." Mu Yue pleads.

Xiao Yan teased, "But you are always in my mind. No one nor nothing else."
