Hunting Beasts for Combat Experience

The group has been traveling deeper into the forest. When they encounter tier 2 or lower beasts, they leave them alone and move on. As for tier 3 beasts, Xiao Yan had Liu Yang, Fei Hong, Wang Yong, and Jun Qing fight them in pairs. When they are used to fighting, she had them fight the beasts alone.

For tier 4 beasts, Xiao Yan, Mu Yue, and Li Jie fight them one on one. The others hide while someone fights the beast. This way the beasts won't run from seeing them and they could provide support in case their classmate is in trouble or the beast is running away.

They mostly target the beasts that have more meat to cook. Xiao Yan and Mu Yue were the only ones that have storage rings so they are in charge of keeping the carcasses.

"We should use three days on adapting as well as doing some combat. It's already afternoon so we need to find a place where we can stay for the time we are in the forest. When the fourth day arrives, we will go deeper and fight stronger beasts." Xiao Yan said.

They roamed around the forest until they found a large clean pond connected to a water stream. They then went around the pond to look for a good spot where they could set a camp.

Xiao Yan observed where they are and decided, "We could stay here for the night. Let's set up the camp now."

"We should also remember this area. On the following days, we will be moving around the forest and might not found another water source." Liu Yang suggested.

"How should we divide the chores? We also have to know the order for night lookouts." Wang Yong asked.

Xiao Yan thought for a while and said, "Mu Yue will be our cook. Liu Yang will be responsible for drinking water. The rest should act according to the situation. This time it's to set up tents and gathering wood for the campfire. I will be setting up the girl's tent. You boys decide for yourselves."

Liu Yang joined Xiao Yan on setting up the tent as she was free. Wang Yong and Fei Hong gathered firewood while Jun Qing and Li Jie set up their tent. Xiao Yan also brought out the cooking wares while Mu Yue cooks their food.

The group then smelled a pleasant aroma. They looked to where it's coming from and saw Mu Yue cooking a meat stew. Xiao Yan had an expression of a husband expecting his wife to serve him food. She was disappointed when she heard Mu Yue talk.

"I have finished cooking the meat stew. Please get your own bowl and serve yourselves. Let me know if the food is to your liking as I just followed the recipe book. I made it with only the ingredients we have available."

The group complimented Mu Yue's cooking skills.

"Mu Yue, you might have the talent of cooking good food. It's your first time making this and it's already on par on what the cafeteria serves." Xiao Yan praises.

Xiao Yan then assigned people for the night lookout. She had the group split into two. This time Xiao Yan and Mu Yue were not in the same group. Mu Yue asked to be assigned for the last half of the night. She was the cook so she could make breakfast before the others wake up.

On the second day, Xiao Yan had the group looking for a tier 5 beast. This beast was only slightly stronger than Xiao Yan and Mu Yue. They made this fight as a preparation for fighting Tier 6 beasts. That's why they all appeared at the same time.

"Fei Hong be the vanguard. Wang Yong, support him. Jun Qing and Li Jie, don't let the beast run away. Spell Cultivators will cast single target spells." Xiao Yan commanded while sending out attacks.

Their current target is a tier 5 deer beast. It has long antlers and has a slightly larger body than Fei Hong. They could just use their techniques against it but Xiao Yan told them not to. They must use the fight to improve their teamwork.

The beast saw that it doesn't stand a chance against this group of humans. The beast wanted to retreat but he was surrounded by them. Because of this, the deer just charged towards a direction. Coincidentally, this direction leads to Liu Yang.
