Hanzo stood alone at the minibar, his mind still fixated on Olivia, with various plans to win over her heart. The problem was, Olivia was connected to Khane—the Alpha of the Royal pack—Hanzo's long-time enemy. However, Hanzo knew that the bond between them was still weak, due to Olivia being a pure human. 

Relationships between humans and werewolves often caused concern among the wolves, as they had to be patient in order to form a strong bond, like typical mates. If either party experienced disruption, it would likely lead to the bond's collapse and the destruction of their relationship.

This situation gave Hanzo an advantage. He could toy with Khane by placing a powerful witch around him, one who could block the bond between Khane and Olivia. Although using a witch's power was a serious violation, Hanzo was willing to risk the punishment if it meant getting what he wanted.
