Fairytale princesses

Just like he said, he left for kimoira the next day. The next few days in the mansion indeed felt lonely. She spent most of her time in the Reigns' mansion.

As usual, the carriage took her to the mansion in the morning and came back for her in the evening. She went in the morning and some times had breakfast with the Reigns. She spent most of her time with Lindsey and only saw Mr. Reigns early in the morning and in the afternoon when he was free to teach her.

Today was the d-day of the party. Few hours before the party, just after Mr. Reigns finished teaching her for the day. Luisa and Lindsey went to the yard to shoot arrows.

Luisa shot the arrows like the pro which she was, Lindsey was not too bad herself.

"You're good," Luisa praised her.

"Not as good as you. But I'm not as lady-like as my father want me to be, hehe," Lindsey replied with a wide grin like a cheshire cat.

Luisa chuckled;

"Lindsey, can I see your special weapon?" Luisa requested.

"I thought you'd never ask, Miwitcher," Lindsey replied doing a curtsey.

Luisa laughed again. At that moment, as Lindsey used her energy to create her weapon which was a twin blade, the wind was agitated.

It raised up and moved not too aggressively around them, encircling them. Soon the wind settled as Lindsey's twin blade came into view and it ignited with an amber hue just like her eyes. She smirked;

"Fascinating," Luisa commented and Lindsey chuckled.

"Can you use those, princess?" she teased Lindsey.

"Want to see me try?" Lindsey replied.

"Do you have a sword? Let's spar," Luisa responded.

In a couple of minutes, the butler came with a sword and stood on standby to watch the girls. He knew Lindsey wasn't yet overly skilled with a sword, only the gods knew why she was given a twin blade as her secret weapon. She was a reckless girl and a handful, he is just worried about her.

The girls started sparring. To Luisa and the butler's surprise, Lindsey was pretty good. It was as if she was secretly training herself after the basic trainings her father provided for her.

Both girls swung, defended and attacked skillfully. One of Lindsey's blade lashed at Luisa, Luisa bent her body backwards dodging the attack but a few strands of her hair weren't spared.

Just as Luisa stood straight, Lindsey took a big attack leap at her, Luisa blocked it but it made one of her knees to hit the ground as she struggled to maintain the defense.

Lindsey pressed her twin blade on Luisa's sword and grinned. Luisa who gritted her teeth before, suddenly smirked. She freed herself from Lindsey and threw a strong kick at her which made Lindsey to move a little backwards, one of her blades disappeared as she lost concentration of her energy.

Luisa didn't giving her a breathing space, she attacked her... hitting her with her knee then she sent a flying kick at her which finally knocked Lindsey down. Her other blade disappeared and Luisa pointed her sword at her.

"I have to admit. You are good," Luisa told.

"And you cheated!" Lindsey replied.

"I'm a witcher, it's what I do," Luisa smirked and Lindsey smiled. Luisa helped her up, they gave the weapons to the butler and went upstairs to Lindsey's room to prepare for the party as it was already twilight.

Lindsey had persuased Luisa to prepare at her place so that they would go together and after much persuasions, Luisa gave in.

They took a bath one at a time in Lindsey's room. Two maids helped them to prepare. It was the first time Luisa got helped dressing up by maids. A day ago, the girls had gone shopping and bought all they needed for the party.

The maids helped them with their hair and put a light makeup on them. They also helped them with dressing up and after they were done, both girls looked like fairytale princesses.

The maids couldn't help but gosh at them. Luisa was wearing a bright yellow ball gown, which was off-shoulder. It suited her skin, hair and eyes. She complimented it with a matching necklace, shoes and a pair of earrings.

Lindsey also wore a ball gown but peach in color, she also accompanied it with a pair of matching earrings, shoes and a necklace which suited her.

Luisa couldn't deny the fact that she felt strange in the attire, it was entirely new to her.

"Well look at my beautiful girls," Maximilian started when they were downstairs.

'These girls wanted to get heads turning, looking like this,' he thought.

"Be back before midnight," he told them.

"We will, father," Lindsey replied

"And drive safe, Antonio," he said to the coachman.

"I will, master," the coachman responded and soon the carriage was out of sight.

"I still can't believe my father actually let me go to this soiree alone," Lindsey began, starting a conversation.

"He doesn't?" Luisa inquired.

"Barely. Maybe because the girl's my friend and he is also a friend of her family. He's supposed to attend but had some things to take care of. He probably let me go because I'm with you and he wants me to represent him," she explained and accompanied it with a small laugh. Luisa just smiled a little at her.

In just a matter of time, they arrived at a mansion. Everywhere was glowing with light as candles were lilted from the entrance to the main doors.

Other carriages were being showed to where they should park, some were just arriving just like theirs. Luisa had anticipated it to be this grand. The also sixteen-year-old, friend of Lindsey was an high elf and most high elves were show offs.

It was going to be a long night.
