AFTERMATH

Been a while but I'm back guys

The sun came out from hiding behind the clouds and brought it's light upon Luffy who was still posing with his arms in the air.

He stood there for a few more seconds as he was taking in a few heavy breaths from the exercise he had just done.

He finally let down his arms and turned around to face the crowd at the broken gate of arlong park when he heard a familiar voice.

Nami : " Luffy....."

His eyes wandered for a second looking for his navigator when he found her in the middle of the crowd.

He leaped off of the mound of bricks and wood under neath him and landed in a crouched position before lifting himself up to walk towards nami.

When he reached her, she looked slighty up toward him and a rolling stream of tears started to run down her cheeks.

Nami : " thank you.....Luffy thank you.....sob..sob..you saved us...sob...Luffy"

Luffy wrapped his arms around nami and held her close.

Luffy : " I'll always save you nami, you're part of my crew and that means you're my friend, I'll never abandon my friends"

The crowd around her had also started to let out tears of joy at their newly granted freedom from Arlong.

Some people from the crowd had come to embrace nami aswell to comfort her. These people were Nojiko and Genzo

The crew were in the back looking at the happy cheers from the crowd, well all except for Sanji and zoro as Sanji was trying to embrace nami aswell but zoro was holding him back.

After a few more minutes of crying, Nami had composed herself enough to answer a question Luffy had asked her.

Luffy : " so, you gonna officially join the crew now, right?"

Nami wiped some more tears of her face and smiled because the answer was so obvious but just as she was about to answer the question, she was interrupted

Nami : " of cour-"

??? : " Chichichichichi, ALRIGHT ITS OVER NOW!!!"

Everyone was surprised from the sudden shouting and they all turned their attention to where the voice came from.

The voice came from a slim,dark-haired man that (unfortunately for him) strongly resembled the appearance of a mouse, with the whispers to prove it.

The man aswell as his appointed marine soldiers walked through the crowd pushing them as they went by as if they were just in their way.

When this man reached Luffy he was grinning for some reason.

rat bastard : " I am captain nezumi of the marine's 16th branch, so you should listen well to my orders, unless you want to be shot dead as an accomplice to these pirates"

As he said that one of the marine's under him pointed his gun towards the crowd

(Bad move buddy)

Rat bastard : "since I'm now in charge of this operation, all the fishmen treasure goes to me to hand in to the marines..oh and all the bounties are going to the marines so hand over the fishmen and put your hands together so I can arrest you already"

Rat bastard crossed his arms together and closed his eyes just daydreaming of what to do with all the berry, maybe he could extend his pool or buy the latest transponder snail model for his shi-

Rat bastard : " AHHHH MY WHISPER STOP PULLING ON THEM AHHHH"

Nami had currently had them in her fingers, pulling as hard as she could without ripping them out to make him suffer as much as possible.

Nami : " Now, why would you think that the treasure that BELONGS to the village should go to you, especially when you were the one helping Arlong?"

Rat bastard was wincing in pain at the pull of his whiskers but he still shouted to his marine underlyings to shoot at nami however the shot never came all of them were laying on the ground in a cold sweat.

Rat bastard : " what did you do to them, I'll have you killed for harming a marine soldier"

Luffy : " hey, calm down now, all I did was give them a little push and they fell right down, I think it's because they know they shouldn't be taking from these nice people"

Luffy pointed toward the crowd who were perplexed by what he said with the pushing as he didn't even touch them but they certainly agreed with the second part.

Luffy walked towards rat bastard and grabbed his whisper by the hand, pulling it upward and in doing so lifted rad bastard off the ground.

Luffy : " how about we make a deal, huh?"

Rat bastard : " what kind of deal?"

Luffy : " I'll let you go without killing you and you can put a good name in for me, I want a big number on my bounty"

With that he let him drop on the floor and rat bastard scurried in the water to try and escape but before he could get far an atmosphere of overwhelming fear encased rat bastard.

Luffy : " that was for reassurance "

And after rat bastard had swam far enough that only Luffy and Ussop could see him, Luffy turned to nami to repeat his question.

Nami : " isn't obvious, you won't even get off the island without me"

Luffy had grown a large smile and embraced everyone with his long, long, long arms and just laughed as the rest wanted to breath again.

1 week later

The straw hats have taken sail and have been on the ocean waters for a few days now, after a heart felt goodbye to the village and a few chunks of change from them, courtesy of nami, they were ready for their last stop before the grand line.

Now there has been a few questions that the crew have wanted to ask from their captain especially nami since she witnessed the fight with Arlong herself.

Nami : " so Luffy, I have a question to ask you"

Luffy : " huh what is it?"

Nami : " when you were fighting Arlong you did something I don't understand, I understand that you can stretch your body because your rubber but how can you fly"

Now this did intrigue the crew as they were listening to what Luffy had to say.

Luffy : " oh, you mean geppo"

Sanji : " geppo, what's that?"

Luffy : " well it's part of the rokushiki"

Zoro : " rokushiki?"

Luffy : " well the world government has these secret spies that use rokushiki as a fighting style, I had to fight alot of them so I figured out how to use them"

This surprised the crew as they were not expecting the world government to be involved in this conversation and now they don't really understand their captain as much as they did.

Luffy looked at his crew with a puzzled look on their face and broke the silence.

Luffy : " I can't teach you some of them, if you want"

Sanji was the first to respond.

Sanji : " that geppo technique sounds interesting, how do you do it"

Luffy explained the basic principle of geppo which wasn't so good as Luffy himself was never given a proper explanation.

Sanji : " so I just kick the sir really hard, Luffy that's impossible for a normal person"

Zoro : " so is cutting a giant boat in half but Mihawk was able to do it, just admit it you just can't do it"

Sanji : " what did you say mold for brains"

Zoro got up from his resting place and Sanji got in his face shouting obscenities at him, zoro getting ready for a fight but they were both interrupted as Ussop spotted something.

Ussop : " guys, I think that's the island up ahead"

Just as Ussop had said, the island was just ahead and everyone calmed down knowing they were about to enter a public place so they should atleast be composed.

Luffy and his crew had arrived in loguetown, the birthplace and execution site of Gol D Roger, the king of the pirates. They wanted to see the place where the idip had died, and also to buy some supplies for their journey.

Luffy and his crew split up to explore the town. Nami went to a bookstore to buy some maps and navigation. Zoro went to a sword shop for a new blade. Sanji went to a few restaurants and supply shops. Ussop went to a gadget shop to find new and exiting things he could mess with. Lastly Luffy went of to find the execution site.

Luffy looked to his left and saw that he had made it to exactly where he wanted to, all he had to do was wait for the right time now.

He might as well do something instead of just standing in the middle of the street, so he makes his way to the entrance of a building and goes instead.

Owner : " Table 6, ready!"

His nose never lied and it steered him straight to a restaurant, perfect.

He walked to a stool and sat down, Luffy saw a man was sitting next to him eating his food, he could see a pile of bowls stacked on top of eachother that was nearly as tall as he was while standing.

Luffy : " that good, huh?"

The man finished slurping up what was in his bowl and turned to face Luffy giving a thumbs up to him.

??? : " You betcha, it's the best food there is, a bowl of ramen"

The man proclaimed it as if it was an obvious fact.

Luffy : " if it's so good them I'll have just that, hey chef I'll take what he's having"

He pointed towards the man and the owner gave Luffy a "gotcha" nod and prepared him a bowl of ramen in rapid speed before serving it to Luffy.

Luffy looked at the bowl and using his chopsticks, picked up a few noodles before slurping them up. A rush of pleasure filled luffy's face as his cheeks began to go rose from the heat.

Luffy : " OISHIIII!!"

Luffy shouted out and continued to slurp down more and more untill there was no more so he kept ordering more and in-between orders he had a conversation with the man next to him.

After some time Luffy tapped his belly saying he was satisfied before getting up a leaving the restaurant but not before paying for his and the man's bill as thanks for showing him this delicious food.

Luffy walked up to the tower where Roger was executed a was staring at it with his hands in his pocket.

Luffy : " this should be enough time for them to of gathered what they need....mh...now it's time for the big announcement"

Luffy stretched out his arm and aimed for the top of the tower, he clamped on one of the wooden beams and let it pull himself up.

He went slightly higher than the platform but still landed on it easily and as he stood up and turned around to face the people that were walking on the street, someone shouted at him from below.

Marine : " hey you, get down from there, it's not safe "

Luffy : " thanks for the warning but I'll be safe "

Once again he focused on the people who were passing by and inhaled a deep breath before letting it all out in one massive proclaim.

Luffy : " EVERYONE, I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE"

The people on the ground took notice of Luffy at the top of the execution platform and while most ignored it thinking it was just some kid getting into trouble some were intrigued, one of them being a marine captain.

Luffy : " I, MONKEY D LUFFY, FUTURE KING OF THE PIRATES, AM DECLARING WAR ON THE CORRUPTED WORLD GOVERNMENT, COME AND GET ME!!!!"

Now all of the citizens were surprised by what he had said most just took it to be the declaration of a mad man and while that may or may not be true a few still took what he said seriously.

And the one most furious about the words he spoke was marine captain smoker.

Smoker : " YOU BRAAAATTT, SO YOU'RE THE ONE I'VE BEEN ASSIGNED TO CAPTURE!! "

Luffy looked down at smoker who shouted and he gained a smile to show how happy he was to see him again.

Luffy : " HEY SMOKEY, LONG TIME NO SEE, GIVE ME A SEC I'LL COME DOWN!!"

Just as he said Luffy took a leap of the platform and dropped down Infront of smoker but just before he hit the ground, he used a geppo step to soften his landing.

Now standing Infront of the man he was orderd to capture, smoker activated his devil fruits ability and turned into smoke, engulfing Luffy.

Luffy coughed and waved at the smoke with his hands Infront of his face. He couldn't see anything in the smoke nor could he see smoker but he did feel something grasp his hands together, restraining him.

Smokey : " You're mine now, Strawhat"

Luffy : " shishi, I don't think so, Smokey"

Luffy focused his mind and activating armament haki. He coated himself in layer and instantly smokers grip on him was loosening.

Luffy's hands were free now and it allowed him to fight back. He used observation haki to locate where smoker was and he went for a wound up before sending a haki-enhanced fist at smoker.

This sent smoker flying backwards as well as deactivating his ability. With the smoke clearing the civilians could see that smoker was laying against the wall of a building nearby, the impact of the crash showing on the wall.

Smoker looked up to see that Luffy was staring at him a bit sad before he heard Luffy say something.

Luffy : " sorry Smokey, but I can't deal with you just now, I'll see ya later, alright"

And just like that he saw him run off. The only thing on his mind now was that he wished he hadn't underestimated Luffy. That was his last thought before he slipped into his subconscious.

Luffy ran for just a bit before he stopped Infront of his crew who saw most of what happened and they were not happy with him.

Nami : " LUFFY, WHY WOULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT WHEN WERE ALREADY BEING CHASED BY BOUNTY HUNTERS"

Ussop : " Wait, What?, Nami what do you mean by that?"

Sanji : " hey, we shouldn't be waiting around here for too long, let's head back to the ship for now"

The five crewmates ran away from the execution platform and headed to their ship, except for zoro who was head the opposite direction but Sanji kicked him in the back before telling him it's the other way.

They ran into some marines but zoro and Sanji were able to take them down pretty easily, so they kept on running untill they made their way to the ship.

They were able to board their ship and sail away from the island far enough away that the marines had lost them for now. The crew was now on its way to reverse mountain.

Now that they were out of danger for the time being, nami asks Luffy the same question she asked in loguetown.

Nami : " Now, Luffy, can you tell us why you would say that something like that in the middle of a marine base? "

Luffy : " well I wanted to make it clear what I wanted"

Sanji : " so you're serious about taking on the world government, I mean I know your were stupid but now it's really getting out of hand"

Luffy : " weeelll, the world government isn't going to be that difficult with the revelotionary army on my side"

Zoro : "how exactly are you gonna get them on your side anyway?"

Luffy : " I just did, you saw me on that tower right"

Nami : " Luffy, they wouldn't just join you because you said you'd attack the world government, oh noooo, now they're gonna send so many Marines after us"

Luffy : " don't worry, my dad is the leader and he was in the same town we were in just a little bit ago"

Nami had a white, ghostly face as she heard the news. The others were in aw at the news but wanted to make sure.

Ussop : " wait....s-so you're s-saying that Monkey D dragon is your father?"

They were all waiting for the what he would say, hoping he would say no and he was just wrong about his dad being the leader.

Luffy : " Yep"

The crew was speechless for a moment. They couldn't believe that their captain was the son of such a legendary and notorious figure.

They wondered how this would affect their future and their bounties. They wondered why Luffy didn't tell them sooner.

Nami : Luffy, why didn't you tell us this before?"

Luffy : " I forgot"

Annoyed, nami yelled : " you forgot? How could you forget something like that?"

Luffy : " well what does it matter? When I declared war on the world government you all still decided to follow me. What the difference if you know who my father is now"

Nami and the rest of the crew was thinking about what he had said and realised what he said was true. They could of just stopped what they were doing a given up but Luffy saved them and he's even taking them to find their dreams.

They already knew that they were going to be in a lot of dangerous situations when they decided to leave their homes so what if it's going to be a little more dangerous now.

They all just slumped over as they realised what a truly venturesome captain they had.

Now that the crew had calmed down from that exhausting talk, Ussop remembered what nami had said earlier.

Ussop : " hey, nami, what did you mean when you said bounty hunters were chasing us"

Nami : " (sigh) while I was walking out of the bookstore, I saw a bounty board with all the bounties on it and I saw a bounty poster with a very familiar face on it"

She stared at Luffy and everyone took notice realising what she had meant.

Luffy also realised this and was grinning at the news but that wasn't enough.

Luffy : " I wanna see it, wanna see it, I wanna see it"

Nami : " alright, just shut up already"

Nami opened her bag and dug through it for a moment before pulling out a rolled up piece of paper. She walked over to the the table, everyone following her.

She placed down the piece of paper and open it up to reveal the face of her captain with his hand on top of his hat.

Alternate ending :

Zoro got up from his resting place and Sanji got in his face.

Sanji grabbed zoros hand and pulled it around his waist.

Zoro knew what to do and brought Sanji closer to his body.

They were so close now that their lips were touching.

Their soft lips touched and clashed against eachother and their saliva mixed.
