One thing Petra didn't like in this world was when someone said so candidly to herself what Petra was desperately trying not to show too obvious to others.
Likewise about how Petra's business, Petra's hard work in finding money to survive in Metropol. Alone for the next three months. And the person who said the hat was Lyon, the cold-eyed young man from the icy polar planet of the Andromeda galaxy, someone Petra avoided as much as possible at school. Not. However, the person that Petra completely avoided in her life. That arrogant rich man.
Regarding money, the basic thing is in the name of the principle of the necessities of life in Mestonia, a form of medium of exchange, which all sane people on this planet earth will certainly want it. Or at least, they didn't deny the existence of that thing, money. The jet
-set, who had excessive money, continued to try to add to the balance of their bank accounts and collect price coffers in a hidden safe in one corner of their palace.
"Then why? Is there something wrong with that?" snapped Petra in the lowest possible voice.
Petra doesn't want to make a fuss at the cafe where he currently works. Moreover, it made trouble for the kind-hearted manager, who always gave Petra permission if he couldn't come to work.
Meanwhile, Lyon only glanced at Petra, then returned to focus on the cellphone in his hand that he had not let go of since entering the cafe. Lyon was amazed at Petra's expression which Lyon
found strange and exaggerated, making him surprised.
"You don't have to be that angry," Lyon said finally after making sure Petra didn't do anything bad to him. For example, breaking down a table, throwing him out of the cafe, or maybe even strangling him.
"Just enjoy your order, sir. Don't try to break the tranquility of this cafe," said Petra for a moment before leaving Lyon who was staring at him questioningly. Wasn't it Petra herself who was trying to spoil her mood, Lyon thought irritably?
Finally, Lyon sighed a little relieved following the departure of Petra who so quickly disappeared from Lyon's sight. As if Lyon is a kind of dangerous germ that must be shunned immediately. Lyon's eyes shifted to the row of order menus that were lined up in front of him.
It seems that Lyon had ordered the wrong number of menus due to being too emotional. The table is full of food, whereas to finish all that food alone for Lyon is impossible. Lyon's stomach capacity is not large enough to accommodate that much food.
However, wasting food is not a teaching in eating ethics that has always been emphasized by his extended family. Even though they are well-to-do people, they uphold the values of life such as valuing food and the manner of respecting it.
Therefore, the presence of a private chef in the kitchen of the parents of Lyon's home is very helpful in measuring and ensuring the number of calorie needs and how many portions each family member eat so that no leftover food is wasted. Another rule in the large Lyon family is that they must always finish the food served to them. If not, then it's better not to eat at all is a wise choice.
For Lyon these rules are ridiculous, but this time Lyon couldn't help but agree. Today, none of his friends came. They have betrayed. There were no more people who volunteered to help him finish the food on the table. And Lyon doesn't have enough other acquaintances beside his former friends to come to eat him at the cafe today.
Lyon seemed to run out of ideas.
Lyon cast his eyes, explore every corner of the cafe that is accessible to the eye, nothing, he does not know a single cafe customer today. And Lyon regrets even more that they came to the cafe today, one of the days that can be said to be the worst day of Lyon's life.
Lyon almost pressed the button to call 'LISA' - his sister - when suddenly Petra passed the table where Lyon was sitting in a hurry to another corner of the cafe. Someone there calls Petra about the order.
In the last three seconds, before Petra is completely out of reach, Lyon manages to grab Petra's hand. Suddenly, the girl was shocked and almost screamed hysterically in shock.
"What are you doing?" stared at Petra, struggling to release Lyon's strong hand.
"Just a second." pleaded Lyon. However, to the annoyed Petra, it sounded more like a cruel king's order than a plea.
Petra sighed, catching her breath slowly before speaking to the face of the impassive human form in front of her that Petra had failed to do.
"Wait, sir. The table at the end called me first. Please, sir, to wait patiently." said Petra who finally got it broke away from Lyon's reach, then quickly left the young man who was looking frustrated. Lyon's white face is getting paler due to holding back his annoyance and anger.
"What's with that maid? How arrogant she is," complained Lyon while sipping a drink.
Most humans live without really noticing that the existence of seconds in units of time is very important. Seconds assemble a minute. Then the minutes intertwine with other minutes to make time called hours. And nearly an hour Lyon waited for Petra who promised to come to his table.
This is the first time Lyon feels the existence of one second because an action called waiting turns out to be torturous for him. Makes Lyon unable to concentrate anything, on the cellphone that he has only held since his arrival. Lyon doesn't know what else to do. Lyon only stirred the glass filled with ice that had melted for a long time with a spoon.
"Sorry ... made the master wait a long time," Petra said a little more gently than the last time they clashed.
Lyon almost wanted to stand up and approach the cafe manager to file a complaint against the waitress girl if she could not come. Luckily Petra came on time.
"Your word sorry is useless." Lyon cynically glared at Petra standing up. Making Petra embarrassed and praying to himself that he can still work at the Kohiti Cafe after what he has done to the regular customers where he works.
Lyon did not have enough reason to feel angry with Petra because of the problems that were plaguing him. However, Lyon needs someone to be used as an ingredient or whatever as an outlet for his annoyance at his problem.
Unfortunately for Petra today.
Petra doesn't know anything.
Lyon who don't care about anything anymore.
"Then ... what do you want? Is there an order you made less memorable or something?" Petra investigated warily.
It was clear from where Petra was standing that Lyon's facial expression was already at an alarming level. It was easy for Petra to quickly read the situation he was in. The problem was, Petra couldn't read the thoughts of the cold-eyed young man.
"Promise. I want you to promise me one thing this time. Take it easy. It's not something you need to worry about. Instead, I'll pay you a pretty decent wage." said Lyon in a much calmer voice.
"What does it mean...?" said Petra, stunned, not understanding.
"You're ... from Social class right? You must like math, right?" asked Lyon with a wicked smile.
If only, if only, today would be Petra's first time meeting Lyon. And at this time Petra was not working at the cafe and saw the young man smiling quite sweetly at him. Maybe Petra would think he was a good lad.
