Historically, a submarine and a battleship fight was usually one sided. Out at sea, a submarine often had the upper hand. On the surface the tables were turned. In the middle of San Diego harbor, with the rest of the fleet flagships watching through a screen, it wasn’t clear which way this would fall. But Virginia knew she’d be scrapped before she backed down although she just might be anyways. Missouri glared at her, the fresh patches on her side doing nothing to detract from her glare and bared teeth.
