She was in a Dilemma

Quan Lian stood in front of Tang Shi Yi's office only to see her burying herself in the documents on the table. He stood there for a brief second to continue watching her. 

Seeing that Tang Shi Yi did not seem to notice his presence made him sigh.

Quan Lian raised his hand and knocked on the door.

It was only then did Tang Shi Yi raised her head to look at him. Their gazes met and she flashed him a smile. "Quan Lian, when did you come?"

"I have been watching you for a while." Quan Lian walked into the room and sat across from Tang Shi Yi. "But it seemed that you did not notice my presence at all."

Tang Shi Yi had an apologetic smile on her face. "Sorry. There are some documents that I have to look at. Is there something you need?"

Quan Lian placed the document in his hand on the table. Then, he waited as Tang Shi Yi browsed through the documents. Then, the two friends discussed some work matters.

Once they were done, Quan Lian glanced at his wristwatch and frowned. "It's already lunch hour. Shi Yi, do you want to have lunch with me?"

"It's alright." Tang Shi Yi pointed at the paper bag she placed on the side table. "I already brought something from home."

"Are you planning to read your documents while having your lunch?"

Tang Shi Yi merely laughed.

"You are working too hard."

 "Shouldn't you be glad for this?" Tang Shi Yi reached for the glass on her table and took a sip of the water. "It's alright. I'm planning to finish my work early and go home early to accompany my son."

As a mother, Tang Shi Yi wanted to be home and have her dinner with Chen Chen. The little boy was still growing up and Tang Chen will need her by his side.

Her children grew up without a father. She could not be absent from their life as well.

"Alright then." Quan Lian stood up to leave. His steps halted as he was about to turn around. Quan Lian remembered that he had asked Tang Shi Yi to try to contact Young Master Su. However, he did not know if Tang Shi Yi had spoken with her friend.

"Quan Lian, is there something you wanted to say?" Tang Shi Yi asked when she noticed that her friend had not left.

Quan Lian hesitated. He did not want to appear as if he wanted to push Tang Shi Yi into talking to her friend, but... he was really anxious about the company. 

They have big dreams but limited resources. Quan Lian thought that it would be good to have a big investor in their company.

His hand clenched into a fist. "I just wanted to remind you not to work so hard. Don't eat and look at the documents at the same time. You'll get an indigestion if you at too quickly."

In the end, Quan Lian did not dare to speak what he had in mind. 

Tang Shi Yi watched as Quan Lian left her office. Then, the smile on her face gradually disappeared. 

It was not as if she did not know what Quan Lian was worrying about.

They have known each other for a while and Tang Shi Yi understood the company matters the most.

Her hand reached for her purse beside the table. Then, Tang Shi Yi pulled the card that she had slid into her purse a few days ago.

Tang Shi Yi stared at Ye Heng's name for a long time. 

Even without Quan Lian's request, Tang Shi Yi knew that she should be contacting Ye Heng soon.

She had disappeared on him years ago and Ye Heng would be looking for some answer.

However, Tang Shi Yi did not dare to contact Ye Heng.

What she was most afraid of the most was that, Ye Heng would find out about the twin.

The scene where they have slept together appeared in her mind.

Back then, Ye Heng was too drunk. He probably did not remember anything. She was the one who took advantage of him.

Tang Shi Yi had a crush on Ye Heng for a while but had kept it a secret as she was afraid that it was going to ruin their friendship.

That night, Tang Shi Yi thought that perhaps it was her chance of a lifetime. 

Instead of stopping Ye Heng when he started to kiss her, she decided to encourage him.

She was so young back then. But now that she thought about what she had done years ago, Tang Shi Yi would feel very guilty.

Taking advantage of a drunk man to fulfill her desire... Just what was she thinking?

If she could turn back the time...

Tang Shi Yi felt that she would never change what she had done previously. After all, she had the twins because of that night. 

Her children were wonderful kids. She could not imagine her life without them.

A faint sigh escaped her as she toyed with the name card in her hand.

She knew that she owed Ye Heng an apology. However, there was no way that she could bring up the night they spent together or the twins.

Would he be angry?

But then, how much longer did she think she could avoid talking to Ye Heng?

Y City isn't that big and it seemed that there was a chance that they might meet again. 

Tang Shi Yi had a feeling that Ye Heng would not let her go if they ran into each other again the next time.

She was in a dilemma.

Her movement suddenly halted.

Tang Shi Yi closed her eyes and leaned back on the chair behind her.

After a while, she sat up straight again and grabbed her phone at the side.

Taking a deep breath, Tang Shi Yi began to compose a text. She reread the words on her phone screen a few more times. Then, closing her eyes tightly, Tang Shi Yi pressed the send button.
