She is a Good Person

"You must be Jin Yinghui."

Elena forgot to respond as she studied the old grandpa standing in front of her. Just as she was about to say something, Lu Chenjun walked up from behind.

"You're here, Grandpa Li."

The man at the door took off his shoes before stepping in, "She is indeed a very beautiful, young lady."

Lu Chenjun smiled, and he walked back into the dining room alongside Grandpa Li. Elena quickly followed them and watched as Grandpa Li sat down right next to Lu Chenjun.

Lu Chenjun waved Elena over and introduced her to the old man.

"As you already know, this is Jin Yinghui, my girlfriend."

Grandpa Li smiled delightfully at Elena, reaching out his hand to shake hers. Elena politely greeted the old man and shook his hand gently.

"Yinghui, this is Grandpa Li. I hired him as my chauffeur a long time ago, but he is more of a father figure for me."

Elena nodded and put her hands behind her back awkwardly. She had no idea that there would be a guest joining them today.

Auntie Qin brought the last dish out, and Elena sat down to eat.

Throughout the whole meal, Grandpa Li was either talking with Lu Chenjun, or he was asking Elena questions.

'Where were you born? What is your job? How old are you?'

His questions seemed endless, and Elena answered all of them truthfully.

The meal dragged on for almost two hours, but Elena didn't want to seem impolite by just leaving. She sat there and pretended to be intrigued by what Grandpa Li and Lu Chenjun were talking about.

Finally, Grandpa Li stood up and said that he should get going. Elena accompanied Grandpa Li and Lu Chenjun to the door, and Lu Chenjun insisted on driving Grandpa Li home.

In the car, Grandpa Li was silent, expecting Lu Chenjun to say something first.

Finally, Lu Chenjun couldn't hold it in anymore.

He turned towards Grandpa Li and asked, "What do you think of her?"

Grandpa Li smiled and didn't reply immediately, "You seem pretty serious about this relationship."

Lu Chenjun's eyes dimmed and he took a deep breath, "I don't know if I am just getting too desperate. Sometimes, I could see a shadow of her in Elena. They are quite similar."

Grandpa Li listened intently, waiting for Lu Chenjun to keep talking.

"I don't think I could wait any longer. How many nine years will I have in my life? She left so suddenly, and she expected me to wait for her and keep my heart for her."

Lu Chenjun stopped the car in front of Grandpa Li's house and turned to look at him.

Finally, Grandpa Li answered his question. "Jin Yinghui is a very good, young lady. She is very smart about what she says and doesn't seem like a person that would act rashly. You're getting old, Chenjun. If you are serious about her, you should take the initiative. Treat her well, she really is a good woman."

Grandpa Li gently patted Lu Chenjun on the shoulder and swiftly got out of the car. Maybe he was being biased. Although Grandpa Li had an eye for people, he didn't really know Jin Yinghui well.

He had concluded that she was a good person due to the fact that he wanted Lu Chenjun to settle down. He trusted Lu Chenjun's eye for people, and he could also sense that Jin Yinghui was a decent woman. He couldn't really stand watching Lu Chenjun change girlfriends so often, and thought that if Chenjun truly liked Jin Yinghui, he should just go with her.

Lu Chenjun was in a good mood after hearing Grandpa Li's words. Grandpa Li was one of the few people he could trust wholeheartedly, and he knew that if Grandpa Li thought Jin Yinghui was good, she was good.

Lu Chenjun happily drove back, and by the time he was back in the house, it was dinnertime. Auntie Qin had made dinner, but both Elena and Lu Chenjun didn't want to eat it. They had just finished eating lunch not so long ago and didn't really have the appetite to eat again.

Lu Chenjun's eating schedule was messed up anyway, so he didn't really care. Although Elena rarely limited her food intake, she was still a public figure. It was important for her to keep her body in shape, so she was also fine with skipping dinner.

Elena didn't have to film tomorrow, so she stayed up pretty late scrolling through social media.

As she was watching cute little puppies play around, Lu Chenjun climbed onto the bed next to her. Although they slept next to each other every day, neither of them had broken the rules on the contract.

Lu Chenjun did hug Elena when they were sleeping, but he never did anything greater than that. He moved in and glanced at Elena's phone.

Elena scrolled down and a video of a cute guy showing off his toned abs came up. She didn't really think much of this, as she did occasionally look at these videos.

However, just as the guy in the video moved in a little closer to the camera, Elena became aware of a feeling that someone was looking at her. She felt the temperature in the room drop a few degrees as she turned around to look at Lu Chenjun.

Lu Chenjun raised one eyebrow as he pointed to the guy on the screen, "Do you think that body is good?"

Elena shrugged, "Yes, of course."

Lu Chenjun's eyes turned even colder as he waited for Elena to take her words back.

Instead, she rolled her eyes and turned off her phone, "Stop looking at me like that. It's not like your body is any better."

Right after those words left her mouth, she immediately regretted them. She had seen Lu Chenjun's body before, and it was much better than the one on the screen. She should have thought before saying those words.

Elena clenched her teeth together and avoided Lu Chenjun's piercing gaze. He raised one eyebrow and leaned in.

"You could always look for yourself to see if my body is better."

Elena blushed at these words, and she quickly put her phone down. She pushed Lu Chenjun's body away and hid under the blanket.

"Go to sleep," Elena urged, hoping that Lu Chenjun would quickly forget about what she said.

Lu Chenjun got out of the bed to go close the lights before pulling Elena into his arms. He could feel her warm breath on his skin and the heat of her body close to his.

Before long, they both fell asleep in each other's arms.
