But he was just telling the truth. . .

The elevator door opened, and Fang Shi followed Lu Chenjun out.

"Hello, President Lu."

"Good afternoon President Lu."

Everyone bowed towards Lu Chenjun, but he ignored them and kept on walking.

Inside the underground parking lot, Lu Chenjun turned to Fang Shi and said, "You go to the Zuanji Steakhouse and get some food-to-go. You have 30 minutes to get the food and arrive at Yinghui's apartment. I will go with the chauffeur."

Fang Shi nodded and entered his car.

The chauffeur was an old man in his 50's. Lu Chenjun treated him well and gave him a consistent salary although he rarely drove for Mr. Lu. Most of the time, Fang Shi would drive as he had to accompany Mr. Lu to several events.

Mr. Lu called the driver, who was in the building. "Grandpa Li. Can you come down real quick? I need you to drive me somewhere."

In five minutes, Grandpa Li walked into the parking lot and opened the backseat door for Lu Chenjun.

"Where are we going, Mr. Lu?"

Lu Chenjun showed him the address and told him to drive quickly.

"Mr. Lu, may I ask who's house is this that you have to personally go visit?"

Lu Chenjun smiled at Grandpa Li and said, "She is my new girlfriend."

Grandpa Li chuckled and said, "When did Mr. Lu become such a romantic person?"

Lu Chenjun trusted Grandpa Li and explained to him, "I accidentally misunderstood her a few days ago. I want to go visit her. Grandpa Li, I can tell that she is different from the other girls. She doesn't try too hard and she doesn't purposefully try to make me happy. She's also really amazing at cooking. I want to get to know her better, but I don't know if she feels the same way."

Grandpa Li stared at Lu Chenjun through the back mirror before laughing. He had known Lu Chenjun for a long time already and treated him like his own son.

"It seems like you have finally moved on. It's a good thing. When you have time, bring that girl over to meet me. I want to see which girl is able to make you put down the past and move on."

Grandpa Li paused for a second before continuing.

"You should be nice to her. It's probably not easy for her to date someone like you, Chenjun."

Lu Chenjun leaned forward in his seat, "Grandpa Li, aren't you known for being a hopeless romantic. Your relationship with your wife is really good, right? Can you give me some suggestions?"

Grandpa Li could tell that Lu Chenjun was very serious about this relationship. He hasn't been like this for a while now.

"Did you say there was a misunderstanding? She probably feels bad right now, though I can't be sure. If you really want to improve your relationship with her, the best way is to spend more time with each other. I know you are always busy at work, and when you go home it's already late. So, there is only one way."

The car stopped in front of the apartment building and Grandpa Li turned around.

"What if you guys live together?"

Lu Chenjun sat on the couch inside Elena's apartment, thinking about what Grandpa Li had told him. Would Yinghui want to live with him?

Elena wasn't back yet. Mila had attempted to make her feel better by taking her to a coffee shop. However, this plan failed to work. It was already pretty late when they arrived back at their apartment.

Elena turned the door open and walked to her room.

"Jin Yinghui!"

Elena turned her head towards the couch and saw Lu Chenjun sitting on it. Fang Shi was standing right next to him.

Elena furrowed her eyebrows, "What are you doing here?"

Lu Chenjun grabbed the bag of food Fang Shi was holding and stood up.

"This is from the steakhouse we ate at last time. I am sorry for misunderstanding you."

Elena didn't take the bag over, "Misunderstanding?"

"I know that you were lying to me. You did not spend the money on what you said you would. You gave it to your family, didn't you? If my guess is correct, you just came back from your parents' house."

Elena frowned and looked up at Lu Chenjun.

'Did he investigate her?'

"How do you know all this?"

Lu Chenjun coughed once and put the bag down on the table.

"I was wondering where you were today, so I had Fang Shi do some research. Don't worry, the misunderstanding is all cleared up now."

Elena scoffed and looked to the side.

"Excuse me, Mr. Lu. Did you forget? Rule number 4: Don't search for each other's private information during the time we are together. I have followed all the rules, so why aren't you? This is my apartment building. Will you please leave?"

Elena glared once more at Lu Chenjun before marching into her room, not forgetting to slam the door close behind her.

Mila, Lu Chenjun, and Fang Shi were shocked.

Mila was still shocked about Lu Chenjun and Fang Shi's sudden arrival.

Lu Chenjun was shocked at Elena's response.

Fang Shi was shocked at how Elena just talked to his boss. No one, not a single soul in the Jin Province dared to talk to Lu Chenjun like that.

Mila could feel the temperature dropping. She glanced at Lu Chenjun's face and watched as it turned dark. She immediately rushed over.

"Haha, hello Mr. Lu. Don't mind her. She isn't in a good mood today."

"Isn't in a good mood? I came all the way here myself to apologize to her and even bought her food. This is how she responds?"

Mila laughed awkwardly, "This is kind of hard to explain. Mr. Lu, I advise you to not talk to Elena about her family or do too much research about her. Something happened today that caused Elena to be in such a bad mood. Please don't get too mad at her for this."

Lu Chenjun glared at Mila, who looked away. He kept the food on the table and walked out of the room.

Grandpa Li had left already, as he had to go home and make dinner for his wife. Fang Shi drove Lu Chenjun home.

In the office of his mansion, Lu Chenjun couldn't focus on his work.

'Should I figure out what happened to Jin Yinghui? I could have all of her background information delivered to me in 30 minutes. But will that make her even more mad?'

Lu Chenjun slammed his fist on the table. Since when did he become so indecisive. He had finally found a girl he was interested in. Why was this so hard?

He picked up his phone and called Grandpa Li.

"Hello, Grandpa Li. Sorry to disturb you so late. I have a question to ask you."
