Opening Ceremony II

The reporters continued asking more questions, all targeted at the mystery actress for the role of Lin Chuxia and everywhere was in a frenzy.

Just then a dainty figure appeared at the head of the red carpet.

Yvette stepped onto the red carpet immediately captivating the crowd. She was draped in a floor length gown that shimmered in hues of cherry red with black embroidery at the hem.

The gown was an off-the-shoulder with a column neckline that showed off her elegant collarbone. The daring slit ran high along her thigh revealing the long and slim sculptured leg in a bold and elegant way.

The dress was intricately encrusted with black pearls emphasizing her memrizing waistline, her sandy blonde hair was pulled up in an elegant twist with slightly curled tendrils framing her porcelain face.

The dress hugged her form perfectly, the sleek lines of the fabrics complementing her slim figure without overwhelming her, each step she took was graceful, her legs peeking out of the slit just enough to leave an impression yet not too much to steal the show.

It was a look that could easily veer into the realms of the outrageous but on her, it was pure perfection.

Her poise combined with the stunning ensemble made the outfit feel like it was crafted for her alone. Indeed the designers at Starlight are worthy of their praises and reputation.

As camera flashed, she turned slightly giving the crowd and photographers a glimpse of her enchanting smile.

The air was filled with flurry of flashes , like the first burst of fireworks. The camera clinked in rapid succession, capturing her poised entrance and soon the reporters came back to their senses.

"This . . This is the mystery actress for the role of Lin Chuxia?".

"Isn't she too stunning!".

"She's just sooo enchanting!".

"They made her identity mysterious from the offset and now that I think of it, it's worth it."

"Several minutes ago, we were forcing Director Cole to judge who's indeed the beauty between she and Miss Jocelyn, isn't this ridiculous?".

"The difference is like heaven and hell".

"Before her, even a beauty like Miss Jocelyn would practically just become another face in the crowd".

Yvette posed for the camera in the middle of the red carpet before heading to pick up a pen from the tray to sign her name on the wall and finally it was time for the interview.

The reporters now found this aspect difficult, they had initially planned on making things difficult for her after all she had just appeared out of nowhere, snatching away their beloved Jocelyn's role but now even the questions they had prepared seems absurd to them. Her face and aura was convincing enough, she was the most worthiest person ever for the role of Lin Chuxia.

"Miss ,may I ask of your name and what company are you signed to?". A reporter asked.

"Yvette Jasmin. Silverscreen Horizons Entertainment".

"Then why is it that as an artiste of Silverscreen Horizons Entertainment. There has been no mention of you by the agency for years . ."

"Exactly, it seems like you just appeared out of nowhere?".

"May I ask if as an artiste of Silverscreen Horizons Entertainment, are you affiliated with Starlight Entertainment because the dress you're wearing, isn't the newly released custom piece by Edith with only just a single piece in the world".

This time it was Yvette time to be stunned. She knew her identity would be dug up sooner or later so that was the least of her worries, it's just that she didn't expect Zeke to prepare such a lavish dress,even more having her wear such an obvious dress despite the enemity between the two companies.

"Today is the opening ceremony for the drama TALES OF US, everyone should ask questions related to the drama". Yvette said professionally, the reporters were just as fierce as she could remember but she was even more good at dealing with them.

Director Cole and Screenwriter Dave watched in awe as she handled the nosy reporters.

Mr Dave nodded in admiration and sighed. "This lass is really interesting, with such admirable qualities how come she has only come this far?".

"Perhaps it's indeed as the reporters had suggested, her agency is purposely suppressing her exposure or she offended someone she wasn't supposed to ". Director Cole answered.

"What a pity for such a talented lass, but a real gold never loses its shine besides I bet you've already have her in mind for some of your other upcoming drama".Blair grinned as he approached them.

"Mr Blair". The director and screenwriter bowed immediately.

"Oh please. Don't embarrass me". Blair also bowed embarrassed, in the entire entertainment industry no one dares to mess with him, apart from being an actor his elder brother is the city mayor so he was practically invisible. "And When the times comes, I beg Screenwriter Dave not to forget me ". He added.

"Hehehe. I won't". Screenwriter Dave and the director laughed.

The director immediately went ahead to fetch Yvette. "She'll be playing the role of Lin Chuxia and this is Blair who'll be playing the role of the great general, you two have quite several scenes together so I think you should get to know each other properly so your scenes together won't be awkward".

"Hello, Senior Blair". Yvette greeted calmly as he was rightfully her senior, back then when she was still acting, he was a popular senior and she wished to film a scene with him but he was rumored to be arrogant.

Blair could only feel admiration as he stared at her , he let out a slow whistle of appreciation. Apart from being natural and pretty, she was the first to be able to face him calmly, others either stammered or acted nervously afraid of offending him because of his identity.

But she, she was a first. He sighed as he stared at her, she had instantly piqued his interest.

Nadia nails were digging into her palm at the moment,her face twisted at the scene before her. She had never imagined Yvette to be able to snatch the role and not only did the reporters fail to embarrass her but she was also praised to the moon, appearing flawless.

Even she had never seen her like this, in her memory she only knew of the submissive lady who kept clinging to Manuel obediently, being at his beck and call, obediently doing his biddings. But it now seems she had clearly understimated her.

Even the outfit she was wearing was worth several thousands of millions, was Zeke that willing to indulge in her despite her being a second hand product.

Why would anyone think so highly of her, even the usually grim Director and Screenwriter , even the high and mighty Blair who was always indifferent to everything was surprisingly praising her.

At this moment, a reporter behind her asked. "Miss Nadia, Yvette is your junior even more from the same company, what are your thoughts on her portraying the role of Lin Chuxia, this is the first time the two of you are appearing in the same drama, one is an unknown lady and the other is the leading lady. What are your thoughts on this?".

Nadia immediately switched back to her elegant and easygoing self as she replied.

"We are Silverscreen Horizons Entertainment are one big family, it's our responsibilities to watch out for each other and my junior here has a lot of talents and potential. I know and believe she won't fail us all".

Yvette could only sighed and shake her head. On the outside it seems as though Nadia was merely promoting and praising her but she knew very well the type of person she was. She wasn't merely helping her but setting her up for a fall instead.

Filming hasn't even begun and she was already praising her to the skies, even the slightest mistake would cause severe disappointment and lashback. This Yvette made a mental note to be careful.
