Decision

Magnus is in a private room where his wife is. Selena is laying on the hospital bed, unconscious. Magnus is sitting beside the bed while holding Selena's hand. Since the doctors transfer Selena into the room, Magnus has been staring at his wife. While staring at her, Magnus' heart hurts. "This is all my fault. We would have been happy if I had accepted your pregnancy right away.", he mutters to himself while holding her hand and putting it on his forehead. "I am so sorry, Selena. You have suffered so much because of my cowardice.". Magnus' eyes start to tear up and the more he thinks about the good possibilities if he had not acted like a jerk, tears are flowing down his eyes.

Because of tiredness, Magnus slowly has fallen asleep. His head is on the side of Selena and he is still holding his wife's hand. Selena, on the other hand, starts to be awakened. Her eyes slowly open and looks around her. Selena wants to get up and that is when she feels her hand. She looks on her side and sees her husband sleeping. She decides not to get up and lays still on the bed. Minutes later, she feels uncomfortable about Magnus holding her hand so she slowly pulls her hand out of his grip. Magnus slightly moves but did not wake up. Selena successfully takes her hand. She then gets out of bed and out of the room. She goes into a hallway where the windows are made of glass and are big. She sits on the bench and gazes outside. It is one in the morning so the surroundings are very quiet. Selena enjoys the lights in the dark she is seeing through the window.

While gazing outside the window, Selena feels sleepy so she decides to go back to her private room. As she enters, she sees that Magnus is still sleeping. She approaches the bed and carefully lays on it. She quietly moves herself to have a comfortable position. She looks at Magnus and unconsciously moves her hand to touch his hair but she snaps out of it and withdraws her hand. Selena turns around to face the other side and drifts off to sleep.

It is six in the morning when Magnus wakes up. He is awakened by the sound of his phone's ringtone. He takes his phone out of his pocket and looks at who is the caller calling early in the morning. When he sees that it is his grandmother calling, his annoyance immediately disappears. He clicks the answer button and greets Miss Luna, "Hey, Nana. How are you?". Magnus listens to his grandmother's long talk. "Alright, Nana. All you just said is noted. We will be waiting here for you. Selena is not awake yet so you still have time.". Magnus is still feeling sleepy but because of his grandmother's long speech, all of the sleepiness left his body. "Yes, Nana. Goodbye. See you later.".

Magnus puts his phone back in his pocket while yawning. His back and arms are hurting from sleeping on the side of the bed while sitting on a chair. So he stands up and decides to lay on the couch. As he stands up, he notices Selena's position in the bed. He had not noticed it before because he is sleepy. He is happy because it would mean that his wife woke up last night. "Thank God you are okay.", he mutters to himself. Magnus then goes to the couch and lays on it. As soon as he lies down, his body feels comfortable and instantly has fallen asleep.

An hour later, Miss Luna arrives at the hospital. She immediately looks for the room number. After taking turns, she arrives at the private room. She slowly opens the door and sees that both Magnus and Selena are sleeping. Not wanting to wake them up. Miss Luna sneakily enters and walks towards the table by the window. She then takes out of the lunch boxes in a big bag she brought. She arranges it all and one by one opens it. She wants the scent of the food to spread in the room so that Magnus and Selena will be willing to wake up and eat.

Minutes later, Miss Luna can hear the just-woke-up sound from Magnus and Selena. She smiles and mutters to herself, "How about that? It worked". She then speaks to them softly, "Wake up, you two. It is time to eat.". Surprisingly, Selena is the first one to get out of bed and approaches the table. She did not say anything to Miss Luna and just start eating. Miss Luna is shocked. She wants to ask but she refrains herself. Seeing Selena eating so well, Miss Luna's eyes begin to tear up. "I miss this.", she thought to herself.

Miss Luna then focuses on calling her grandson who is until now is still on the couch, sleeping. She comes closer to the couch and smacks Magnus. Magnus immediately opens his eyes because of the pain. "Nana, why did you hit me? Your hand is heavy, you know that? That hurts.". Miss Luna ignores her grandson's complaint and looks at him with a stern face. "Did you not hear me? I said it is time to eat.". Magnus replies, "Yes, I heard you. I am standing up.". Just then he goes to the table and sits. He glances at his wife and then he starts to eat as well.

Miss Luna is on the couch sitting and watching Magnus and Selena eat. She turns her focus on Selena. She can almost tell that Selena is recovered but what happened yesterday, Miss Luna is determined to convince her grandson to bring Selena to her original home.

After they have eaten all the foods Miss Luna brought them, the door swung open and a nurse appears. The nurse approaches Miss Luna and gives her a paper, "Here is what you asked for, Ma'am.". Miss Luna replies, "Thank you.". After the nurse leaves, Magnus asks, "What is that, Nana?". She immediately replies, "Selena's discharge papers.".

"What? Discharge papers? They did not even check on Selena last night and this morning if she is fully recovered. How can they discharge her.".

Miss Luna responds, "Magnus, calm down. They did not discharge her. I asked them to discharge her.". Magnus' eyebrows meet because of confusion, "Why, Nana?".

"Selena does not want to be here. And she is perfectly okay now.".

Magnus feels that Miss Luna only answers that to hide the real answer. After packing all the lunchboxes in the big bag, the three of them go out of the private room and into the parking lot. The ride is quiet. No one dares to start a conversation. Selena is just looking by the window as usual. They are all quiet until they arrive at the mansion. Upon arriving at the front porch, Selena immediately goes out of the car and enters the mansion. Miss Luna and Magnus enter together and go to the kitchen to find something to drink. "Why Selena is in a hurry?", Magnus asks Miss Luna.

Miss Luna is seeking a bottle of good wine while responding, " I do not know. I will check on her later. I have to ask you something.". Magnus sits and asks, "What is it, Nana?". Miss Luna then sits as well, "I hope you consider what I had told you. If you think that she is okay based on her actions, I am not convinced.". She sighs and continues to speak, "I cannot see the old Selena, Magnus. She is not the same. And I am afraid that she might think of another way to express her grief.".

Magnus sighs, "I understand, Nana. And I already decided. We will fly back to their village this weekend. That is why I said that I am working overtime because I am going to accompany her. I just had to finish my works before the weekend arrives. Miss Luna replies, "Thank you. I will go upstairs. I have to check on her.".

Miss Luna reaches the bedroom to see that Selena is not there. So she goes to the library and she is right. Selena is sitting on the couch and is reading a book about medical science. She slowly approaches Selena and sits beside her. Miss Luna directly tells the news. "Selena, dear, I have something to tell you.". Another surprising thing happens, Selena closes the book and puts it away. She looks at Miss Luna and asks, "What is it, Nana?".

Miss Luna could believe it. Her eyes widen as she stares at Selena. But she composes herself and manages to talk. "We decided to bring you home.". Selena looks away then asks, "Why? You do not want me here anymore because of what I have become? It is nor fault, I became like this.". Miss Luna immediately comes closer to her and hugs her. "Oh no, dear. That is not true. I want you to be here, of course. You are my daughter. But I also want you to be free. I do not want to see you suffer anymore.". Selena instantly holds Miss Luna's hand while saying, "Nana, I recovered. I even start to read again so that I could catch up on my lessons.".

Miss Luna puts another hand on top of Selena's. "I cannot watch you suffer anymore, Selena. I know you are not fully recovered yet. You almost killed yourself yesterday. I know it is too much to ask for someone who is mourning but you need to heal, and as in completely. I am afraid you could be a danger to yourself.". Selena takes her hand away, "And what if I do not want to go? You cannot make me, Nana.". Miss weakly smiles.

"I know, dear. That is why I need to think about what would your baby thinks. Does he want you to suffer and be unhappy? Does he want to see his mother being hurt?".

This makes Selena quiet. Her eyes start to tear up. And then she suddenly recalls what his son said to her in her dream. "Goodbye, Mommy. It is time for me to go. I am sorry I have to leave you but I will be by your side always. Do not forget about me, mommy, okay?". Selena starts to cry and Miss Luna hugs her tightly. "I am so sorry, Nana. I am sorry for everything I had put you through. It is just... It is so hard to accept the truth. It is so difficult to accept that my son is gone.".

Miss Luna caresses her back while comforting her, "Sshh. Sshh. You have nothing to apologize for, dear. I am glad that you did not forget about your son. He did not actually leave, Selena.". She breaks off the kiss, looks at Selena, and then puts her hand on Selena's chest, "She is here, Magnus.". and then puts her hand on Selena's head, "and in here. As long as you remember him, he is not gone.". Selena then hugs Miss Luna tightly while crying.

Selena falls asleep because of continuous crying so Miss Luna calls for her grandson. "Carry her to her bed.". Magnus lifts Selena and takes her to bed while Miss Luna stays at the library. Minutes later, Magnus comes back and asks, "What did you two talk about, Nana?". Miss Luna looks at his grandson while responding, "She agreed to go back home.".

Magnus did not like what he heard but he cannot do anything. He wants his wife to recover. "Alright, Nana. I will process everything so by the time we arrived there, we would not have to find a hotel.". Miss Luna is amazed, "What do you mean?". Magnus instantly replies, "I hired someone to build a mansion in Selena's rice field which is legally mine. It will be our home and I will build a family with her.".

Miss Luna is speechless yet she is smiling.
