Contacting Myrah had become much more difficult lately but I finally was able able to speak to her today and realization had dawned upon me that I was about to graduate high school in a few months and I had already sent in applications for several universities but towards the end of the term I was disappointed as both my friends Leah and Emma and boyfriend Eddie had already recieved acceptance letters pending results and I found it rather odd that I hadnt even received one reply especially since I had been doing really well and i had higher grades compared to most of the students. I was freaking out but Myrah reassured me that it's nothing to worry about.
Eddie and I decided that we would be going to prom together and not to overthink it as everyone sees us as just friends no one would suspect a thing and so I had agreed.
A week later my English teacher Mrs Steward called me to her office and I found it rather strange as I had already handed in my last assignment "Milan you are such a bright student so I have called you here today to have a discussion about which college you have decided to attend. I have recieved calls from the dean at NYU she would like to offer you a fully paid scholarship so why haven't you replied to her letter to let her know about your decision?"
I was shocked as I had not recieved any letter and so I explained to Mrs Steward and all she said was "Milan well now that you do know please make a decision soon and I will talk to Mrs Foster, luckily for you she was one of my closest friends back in college now be on your way and I hope to have your reply soon. "
I was so excited I rushed out to tell my friends we were so excited we decided that we all will be going to NYU so we decided to celebrate at their house over the weekend once I tell my parents.
We all headed down to the other side of town where we met Chase and we ended up having come across a game shop where we had spent a few hours relaxing and playing pool and Eddie had beat every single time.
We later headed home and Eddie kissed me assuring me everything was going to be fine. Little did I know that everything was soon going to change.
