Always Will Be

"Get away from him," Tian Zi gritted, pointing his gun toward Lucien who was clearly about to do something bad to his fiancé. When Fyre's location moved, he knew something bad was happening. Not to mention, he could smell the Omega's scent all over the floor. Fortunately, it only made it easier for him to track and find the right room but he did not expect he would witness the Alpha doing something to his beloved.

Tian Zi glared at the man on top of his lover and made sure he burned his face in his mind so no matter what would happen, he will remember not to ever forgive him.

"...ahh, so you have come," Lucien mentioned between his labored breath and slightly pulled away from the barely conscious Fyre. He shifted his gaze at the intruders and he smiled seeing a total of four men; two of them seemed to be bothered by the pheromones engulfing the room just like him. At least, he wouldn't be the only one who is at a disadvantage.

Earlier, when he heard they were being infiltrated, he admitted that he underestimated the situation and asked Apollo to handle it. Still, he did not regret his decision since if he asked someone to look for Fyre, he wouldn't have known that he was in heat. Unfortunately, since pheromones are something he's not very good at dealing with, his judgment was a bit clouded, especially now since he'll have to deal with an enemy. Still, seeing that there's just a small team, it might not be too difficult for him to escape.

"Yes, I did, so get your hands off of him!" Tian Zi growled. Luckily, aside from him and Nigel, the rest of his team are Betas so even if he and Nigel become out of it, there are still more of them who will remain sane.

"I'm amazed you found us, how did you do it?" Lucien tried to distract, getting off of Fyre as commanded. He hates that he couldn't take Fyre with him but he's thinking he should find a way to escape when a chance comes. Well, he actually already has a plan and he's only waiting for the right time to execute it without fail.

"Shut up! Step away from the bed and don't move," Tian Zi yelled. Fyre's pheromones begin to take over him, making him more desperate. Not to mention that he could see his lover struggling and almost unconscious on the bed making him even more furious.

Quickly, as soon as Lucien got away from the bed, Tian Zi dropped his gun and rushed towards Fyre who was still breathing heavily. He softly lifted Fyre into his arm after quickly draping a blanket over his naked body before caressing his cheeks and pushing the hair that was covering his damp face. However, still unaware that it was him, Fyre struggled and screeched in fear.

"Ahhh Nooo... Noooo... let go! let go!" Fyre yelled in horror, his tears began to flow again. He had just woken up after briefly fainting from the hit Lucien did to him and his sight had yet to focus so he thought it was Lucien who was still touching him.

"Shhh... Fyre it's me. You're safe now... I'm here, Baby. I'm here," Tian Zi whispered, calming Fyre down and when Fyre heard him, he stopped his struggles and looked at the person holding him. And confirming that it was indeed Tian Zi, his eyes widened briefly in shock before he bawled and jumped on his lover. He didn't know when and how but he's never been so happy and relieved to see Tian Zi. He was just calling his name just now and he believed no matter how much he called, the Alpha wouldn't come but he did! He really did!

"Zi~ Wahhhh~" Fyre cried tightly, wrapping his arms around his lover's neck as he cowered against his arms. He didn't know what was happening but he was so glad Tian Zi came. Meanwhile, watching all of this unfold in front of him, Lucien's eyes turn cold and dark as he clenches his hands into a fist. He didn't know why but suddenly, his chest began to ache at the sight. Fyre was his! He's the one thinking about him the most all these years but now the Omega was clinging to a different man? The sight hurt his ego and he so wanted to pull Fyre away from Mo Tian Zi and into his arms. Even though his intention was different from romantic affection, he would be lying if had said now that he wasn't jealous.

". . ." Lucien glared at the couple's display of affection and he couldn't help himself from thinking if it was before Fyre had left, wouldn't he be the one holding Fyre as Tian Zi did? Even though he was planning to break the Omega and watch his expression turn in horror as he revealed his true self, his main purpose was to make sure that after all that, Fyre wouldn't be able to live without him. He was going to make him dependent on him... where the Omega wouldn't want to live without him. That he would rather be dead without him. That was his main goal. Of course, he could still do so now, but it'll be a lot more challenging.

"It's okay now. It's okay. You're good. You're safe now. I'm here with you," Tian Zi whispered and kissed Fyre's forehead while the Omega had yet to calm from his cries. Nevertheless, he secured him into his arms despite slowly falling into a rut himself. He tried to suppress himself and push his limits because he knew at this moment, Fyre needed his presence more than anything. He needs to feel secure and the only way to do that is to constantly remind him that he's fine.

"Young Master, I think we should leave soon," Nigel suggested, he was pointing his gun towards Lucien making he wouldn't move from his spot but he too was starting to feel dizzy at the amount of pheromones he had taken in ever since they stepped into the floor. He's aware that Fyre Long was an Omega but he didn't really expect that he'd go into heat in the middle of the rescue mission. Of course, he wouldn't dare covet his master's mate but he's also just an Alpha. Even if the Omega is already mated to another Alpha, that does not mean their pheromones won't work on them. It'll only become less noticeable but considering that Fyre is a recessive Omega, his pheromones are a lot more stronger than a Dominant even if its effect was lessened due to him having a mate already. So no matter how much he controlled himself, he still couldn't stop being tempted by the sweet and intoxicating scent.

"Yes, I know..." Tian Zi replied. He knew that if they stayed longer, it would be more dangerous. "Let's capture him first," Tian Zi ordered, to which Nigel nodded. He urged his two other subordinates to arrest Lucien while Tian Zi held Fyre and lifted him into his arms but unexpectedly, Lucien used the small amount of time and suddenly struggled from his two captors and attacked them until he managed to push them away. Nigel, who was guarding the back of the two tried to shoot but since he was out of focus, he missed and watched Lucien quickly disappear into a secret passage that appeared within the blink of an eye.

"What happened?" Tian Zi asked, the scene was so sudden that he was unable to witness it. By the time he looked around to find Lucien Sky, he was already gone.

"H-He caught us off guard," one of Tian Zi's subordinates replied, trying to get the secret door to open but unfortunately it did not.

"I'm sorry. I was out of focus," Nigel quickly apologized but Tian Zi shook his head since he understood that Nigel is an Alpha too. Just from that, he knows Fyre's pheromones are affecting him and is only trying to suppress his instinct. That is also why they needed to get out of there as soon as possible and they didn't have time for an encounter.

"Although it's bad that he got away, we already have Fyre. Let's just get out of here and report it to my brothers so we can go," Tian Zi stated, trying to maintain his composure. No matter how much he wanted to capture Lucien Sky for doing this to Fyre, no matter how much he wanted him to be behind bars and never let him be free ever again, the situation was simply not in his favor. Fyre was his top priority and always will be.

"I think that's the best option for the situation," Nigel agreed, desperately covering his nose hoping it would block his sense of smell. Furthermore, if he did not separate himself from both Tian Zi and Fyre Long soon, his Alpha instinct might take over him and attack his master to snatch the Omega in heat.

"Let's hurry," Tian Zi groaned, his eyes in a daze but the sight of the fellow Alpha's erection did not escape his eyes making him irritated and even more possessive but at the same time he could not blame Nigel. Nevertheless, the sight of another predator in the presence of his mate made his mind go wild.

"Fuck!" Lucien groaned, injecting himself another dose of suppressant but it still did not help him calm down. Even though he too got affected, he was lucky that Fyre's pheromones somehow help him take advantage of the situation and escape. And although it's unfortunate that he couldn't take the Omega with him, he promised that he return for him in the future.

"What's the situation?" Lucien asked after dialing Apollo's number. He could still hear gunshots in the background although it sounded like it has a silencer but seeing that the fellow Alpha still managed to receive his call, the situation must be controlled.

[Shit! We've lost a few good ones but it seems like they're retreating,] Apollo replied in urgency, making Lucien nod. Since they already got Fyre in their hands, it's obvious that they're retreating.

"Let them. Let's regroup once you clear the surroundings..." Lucien ordered. This was a surprise attack so the setting wasn't in their favor especially since their men weren't prepared for an encounter this soon after his return.

[Okay, copy... but what happened to you? You seem out of breath,]

"Nothing. Just return when you can and don't engage any further," Lucien ordered again, his eyes continuing to fall into a daze as he was already deep in his rut.

[Tch. Fine. Call you later.] Apollo said. As soon as the call ended, Lucien stood up and began to trail the secret passages. There was only one room he was aiming at, and that was Mitchel's.
