..... "Mum, Rose is alive ", Josh screamed in joy over the phone.

"Did you bang your head?, Rosella died thirteen years ago. Did her father Mr Williams not announce it on the news? and later announced that his wife adopted a girl", Josh's mother reprimanded.

"No , I saw her today mum but she doesn't seem to recall anything even the news that they adopted, didn't it seem a little off? Even to you?", he said a little devastated.

"But she fell off the cliff and died", Mrs Thornton said as- a-matter-fact.

"Yeah that stupid Calli pushed her off and now I will use that against him that she's alive. I loved her first and she will always be mine", Josh said a little angry at what happened.

"Mom did you think that Mr Williams child would die so easily and he would fold his hands and do nothing, you didn't literally hear what happened that day?. Ann had performed and gone through rigorous trainings so falling off a cliff couldn't have killed her. I think Mr Williams was trying to hide her from the world", Josh said.

"What really happened?", Josh's mother asked.

"You don't know how hard I had worked to gain a place in Mr Williams heart and eventually convince him to let me marry his daughter", Josh said, deciding to confide in his mom.

"What did you do son?", she asked a little afraid.

Mr Williams does not give something for nothing.

"I saved his life when he was attacked by Ann, I helped him track Ann's whereabouts and protect her from harm and I ...", Josh stopped for a while.

"You did what Josh?", his mom yelled out in fear.

"I pledged my life to always protect his daughter and swore by the Mafia code to get involved in the Mafia dealings", Josh said calmly.

"What?, did you know what you got yourself into?, did you know that it was the same Mafias that killed your father ?", She yelled bitterly over the phone.

"You don't know how dangerous those people are....", she said but Josh disconnected the call. His mind was made up, as long as he had The Williams support he could stretch his wings and become powerful while bringing the Ambrosio corporation to crumbles.

His dad never wanted to give it to him anyways and he did not want it now, he only wanted to see calli on his feet begging for mercy.

He was scared in the past but after finding out that Calli was also a cunning Mafia and involved in the dealings of the underworld, he let go of his fear.

He won't lose like how he did in the past, it's do or die now.

FLASHBACK:

Rose was looking for Calli and Josh with a rose in her hands. She wanted to tell them whom she agreed to date and take to the school prom when she heard fighting from the nearby cliff.

"What do you two chuckleheads think you're doing?", she asked as she saw Cali about to hit Josh who ran towards her and hugged her leaving Cali embarrassed and scratching his hair.

"I told you guys to stop fighting already?", she yelled at them like a mother, while smacking the both of them on their butt.

"So what is your decision?, who are you taking to the school date?".

(Note: Cali was 15, Josh was 14 and Ann (Rose) was 12 at that time.)

Rose's eyes dilated, " My dad would be here to pick me up. You know this is my Aunt Rebecca's charity home and I'll be leaving for my real home in Italy soon so....".

"What about us?", Josh asked and Cali nodded.

Ann hesitated and the boys felt that what they were going to hear or whatever she was going to say would not be pleasant.

Their father had sent the boys to the charity home so that they can get along and Rose succeeded in doing that but she was leaving.

"Josh I met you first and I respect your feelings but I like Cali ", Anny said.

"What?", Josh retorted asking angry.

"Wait let's do it like this, Josh and I go to the school prom while I date Calli", Rose said trying to make peace.

"No Rosella", Josh thundered as Rose flickered. He had never called her full name before.

"I like you first and a lot too and I introduced you to my step brother, so you are going to date me", Josh yelled again.

"I like Cali but I like you as a good friend", Rose said while walking over to the edge of the cliff where Cali stood to hold his hand.

Josh was infuriated and thought within himself that if he wanted Rose and his father's property, he must do as he heard his mom said, he should push Cali off the cliff since he was by the edge, so without thinking he ran towards him and made to push him but Rose held his Hand.

Cali was struggling to hold his stance and mistakenly hit Ann who was standing behind him, causing him her to lose balance and topple over.

Rose fell into the forest below, Josh became afraid and made to jump down but Cali stopped him, "let's call the police", Calli suggested but Josh pushed him away.

"You want me to go jail so that you can inherit father's property but No, you were supposed to die not Rose, you could have saved her but you're just a weakling flapping your hands like a weak bird", Josh cried out while his tears choked him.

His sentence managed to put Cali in trauma for many years, the fact that he was not able to save the girl he liked and he feared commitments, thinking that he was supposed to save her not the other way round and taking the hit.

There was misunderstanding and from his second wife that Cali pushed Ann off the cliff and Nr Ambrosio immediately sent him abroad to school and also attend therapy classes in France.

Coincidentally, Ann who happened to be Rose but now with Amnesia and new identity schooled there too, she fell for Cali but he rejected and humiliated her, she left the school and that was when Cali became interested in her but there was no trace of her or her whereabouts in the school records or country.

No one knew who she truly was....

Josh and his mom thought that they succeeded in ruining Calli only for him to come back a refined man and in a better position to take over the Ambrosio corporation, making Josh fade into the background as his father ended up willing all his companies, corporation and firm's to Cali but only Four firm's to Josh.

His question was why Calli never exposed him for killing Rose?....
