Love beyond Ranks

“My luck kind of great. I finally found you. No! you presented yourself to me like a prey coming to its predator den. Amazing right?” he drew his eyebrows up, asking with his beautiful lips that had a playful smirk. Lydia responded in silence. She had no idea what this man was going on about. Rumbling some nonsense or maybe something similar. All she could think about was to get his permission to live in his house for three months to carry out her plan. ‘Please don’t see through my disguise and you can talk whatever you want.’ She only prayed for it. Hiding her gender and pretending to be a man. It was frightening to keep that business smile on her face while the surrounding was so cold. After all, she was in front of a ‘S ranker’ who could snap her neck like mincing mud without giving any shit. “Hmm?” he gazed the girl standing in front of him from up to down. “Haha… I will do my absolutely best to serve you, master,” awkward smile tiring her face but successfully she completed what she needed to say. Ethan smirked. He leaned back on the chair, the sharp silver earing glinting back, the blue sapphire looked pretty and cold as his eyes. “How?” “Ha?” Lydia tilted her head slightly in confusion. “How are you going to serve me? There are many possible ways. If my mother has sent you to work, I guess you know I prefer men more. Maybe you will be warming my bed at night,” he looked at the girl disguising herself as a man who looked charming and shiny from every angle. Lydia denied strictly, “My purpose is to assist you in your house. There is nothing to do with the bed. I can do cooking, cleaning, repairing and many more but…” “Then you can do that too, I assume.” He chuckled testing her expression. The chances of being kicked out were more before entering his house but now the situation unfolded differently. He looked more welcoming to a lowly ranker than she has thought.

Mini Bar

"That guy I thought was a normie actually gave a sweet visit to me," Ethan chuckled looking all amused. He was sitting face to face with Roi in a mid-size transparent room of a bar.

Roi let out a sigh and took a glass of Merlot while relaxing on the soft cushion of the couch. He slightly rolled the glass and took a sip, "Normie? Is he not that?"

"F grader and of the lowest sub grade," Ethan responded holding his glass of red wine, "didn't expected that, right?"

"Nope. I thought he was a normie," Roi shook his head showing an expression of shock mixed with curiosity. "Well, if that's true then he must be quite miserable. Nor can he get any reservation or protection for job set for normies neither can he get a proper job like others. His social life would be a complete mess, too. People looking down on him for having nothing," he again let out a sigh.

His words let Ethan in a complete doubt and suspicion. Till now he did not give it any thought but now he was forced to wonder why his mom sent a good for nothing to him.

A woman in sexy bunny outfit stepped inside with a dish in her hand. She walked seductively and placed the dish next to the expensive bottle of wine.

Pasta dish going well with Merlot. Its aroma spreading through the room.

She sat next to Roi. Her bunny ears falling over his shoulder, "Babe." She called out with a seductive voice while entrancing eyes alluring him. she was covered with sexy makeup, red lips darker than the wine.

Roi wrapped his arms around her waist and gave a funny look to Ethan, "Should I call a cute guy to serve you, my friend?" he chuckled softly and the girl next to him grinned with him.

Ethan humped and neglected. He leaned back on the couch and averted his gaze showing zero interest in that conversation.

"But from where did you meet that warrior?" Roi suddenly jumped back to the previous topic.

"Luke Carter the warrior, a sword master with no power. Hmm… my mother sent him to spy over me. I wonder how great he will be," he giggled and shook his head slightly.

Roi eyes widened in shock. He gave a disbelief look to Ethan and creased his brows when got a confirming nod back, "For real! God, I can't read Mrs. Terrie move anymore. What is she thinking?"

Ethan shrugged and shook his head, "But things are getting interesting here. I like it."

Seeing a satisfied smile over his face, Roi creeped out, "You aren't thinking of dissecting him out of curiosity, right?"

"I am not a surgeon, Roi," Ethan chuckled at his nuisance words and crossed his legs.

Over his words Roi bucked his head back, brows knitted and he glanced at the girl sneakily staring at his friend muscles, "Ahem." He grabbed her bashful gaze back at himself causing embarrassment over her face and gestured her to leave and as she walked out the room, he relaxed back with an irritated look, "But your blade sharper then a surgeon's scalpel."

Ethan chuckled again and looked outside the room. Some recent comers were peeking inside and gossiping while the others were busy dancing and escorting their lovers they just made. "It's not that bad. But what with that look?"

"Are you really asking? Can't you see that girl was drawn to your looks?"

"Is that my fault?" Ethan responded with a shrug that looked really arrogant. It made Roi pinch his forehead in stress while looking down.

Since he can't really contradict those words and neither can get angry over it, he took a deep breath and calmed himself, "Anyway, that new guy seems pathetic. You must have taken him in out of pity, right?"

"I would've done that but now the reason is different. I am really curious now. My curiosity is riling up. I want to know more about him and see what he can do without any powers. Honestly, I have never seen such amazing person," Ethan can't help but kept going on when it came about Lydia.

But that curiosity in him what scared Roi who was his childhood friend. He was worried because Ethan curiosity always brought new trouble. The guy has only been curious for a few times and always wreaking havoc. He remembered his friend getting curious to know how much his power can cause destruction at the age of 6 and destroyed the whole mansion that his family owned and later Mr. and Mrs. Terrie did every possible think to hide it from media.

Fortunately, no one died and that was enough. More than once his curiosity has caused big troubles and now was yet another moment of him being curious.

'Gosh, that pathetic person. He has to be the object of his curiosity,' Roi let out a sigh and leaned forward, "Listen to me. Don't trouble him much. He is no better than a normie so go easy, dude. Got it?"

The guy uncaring of his words let out a smirk and rolled his eyes. His expression screamed that he did not care in the least about giving a shit to those thoughtful words.

"Ethan? Do you get it or not?" he tried to scream his words inside his ears but the guy only ended up putting his Pinky finger in his ears to clean his words out.

A sigh let out of his lips as he got tired of trying and leaned back. It took only a few moments for him to jump over to his others thought and a startled expression pushed away his worried one, "You aren't really falling for a man, right?"

Ethan creased his brows and glared him.

"No, I mean… you spread rumours that you like men. I just wondered if your words are playing with you now. I guess it isn't it. Forget it," he waved his hand laughing awkwardly after getting a furious expression from Ethan and averted his eyes.

…

'It's been half an hour and no progress. Sigh… it's all my fault,' Lydia berated herself as she glanced up and down at the sexy decoration of the entrance hall that leads inside the Bar. Currently standing inside the RD hotel, Lydia scanned through all the ways she could enter the bar.

For her it was already highly awkward to enter this classy and rich hotel full with rich people. She has her eyes gauged out in cautiousness while she stealthily tracked Ethan location. Not that she did not knew it was wrong but rather she had permission for it so she felt kind of free to do it.

But now the real trouble grabbed her attention. Only members of the bar could get in. Well, it wouldn't really had been a problem if she could get membership easily rather the problem was the fact that they rarely gave membership to a person like her with no useful background. This bar was filled with wealthy and capable people and she had none.

Then the other way was to get in by taking up a temporary job. "Haiz. If I can get a job in such a place, my real problem would've been sorted out but their criteria are much far then I can even anticipate."

She let out a sigh again, burying her hands deep inside her pocket and staring in silent while standing at the corner. She can only wait.

"I already can guess he is bisexual. All I need to search is his lover. Whom he meets and what he does, Mrs. Terrie needs to know that person and after that my mission is done and I will still be paid the same amount I will be getting in three months frame," she mumbled to herself but suddenly got yanked by a woman whose dark lipstick was the first thing she noticed.

That lady in her fifties walked toward her. Her brighten eyes were appeased by the candied image in front of her and she took out her card as soon as she approached Lydia.

"Boy, what do you think about working here." She grinned.

The second thing that caught Lydia attention deeply was her lower canine teeth made of gold. The lady wearing black dress that reached her knees and a skin colour coat over it had curly small hair. Her wrinkles soften as she put a pause to her big grin.

"Yes?" confused about the sudden proposal Lydia glanced at the bar and looked back at the lady, "I don't think I can. The job criteria and condition doesn't match with mine. I am not that good."

"Not that kind of job. Hah, you don't get it. What I mean is, how about using your face here, I am sure no one would be more suited than you." Her grin widened again and she glanced at the card she was holding in her hand and gazed back at her.

Awkward and kind of nervous, Lydia took the card politely, "Prostitution?"

"Yes, yes. That's what people call it but it's not that bad if you enjoy it. You see, only rich people and politicians come here. Just one night and you can get rich. More if you win their heart and they become your sugar daddy or mommy," she raised her brows as if putting the most eligible job to the most eligible person she could never get wrong.

Lydia placed a fake smile not wanting to hurt this lady in the least bit and she politely refused, "I am sorry mam, I could not do this."

At the moment of conversing, she suddenly heard a familiar voice that got her riled up. She needed to leave here soon and reach the mansion since it appeared that Ethan was going to come out.
