Important information

The sound of the magical bells woke everyone from their sleep.

The magical bells are a significant symbol in Dreame College and are rung occasionally for important announcements.

Students hurried towards the main hall, not wanting to be late. Among them was Charlene, following behind Hazel without knowing their destination.

Blake teleported out of his room upon hearing the bells jingle.

"Wait for me!"

Louis yelled as he rushed out of the kitchen, but Blake was already gone.

"Damn, he's still angry."

Louis mumbled as he hurried out of the room. "How am I supposed to get there before the announcement?"

Louis pouted childishly and sighed before leaving his hostel. Suddenly, he found himself in the main hall and grinned, knowing it was Blake's doing.

"He still has a heart after all."

He smiled cutely.

"Greetings, young Amazons. You must be wondering why you were summoned. However, an important announcement must be made. Charlene Alondria Craig, please wait behind immediately after the announcement."

Master Kang said, and the once noisy auditorium fell silent.

Shaman Dean approached the podium, staring strangely at the students. Some students with the gift of foresight tried to predict the announcement, but it seemed impossible.

"Greetings, great Amazons. My time is near, and I must leave Almerita very soon to avoid bringing the curse of a shaman's death upon all of you."

He said, and the once quiet hall became noisy.

"What does he mean?"

"I hope it's not what I think."

"If he leaves, what will happen to us?"

"Does that mean we will become vulnerable to evil?"

Some students murmured fearfully, while others pondered deeply. "Will Dreame College remain the same? Will Almerita be safe?"

These questions filled everyone's minds.

"No matter what happens, just remember our only rule: 'let love lead'. Evil cannot enter Dreame College unless you invite it with your words, thoughts, and actions. Avoid hatred, jealousy, lies, and anger, as these are what the nickels need to invade Almerita. Be your brother's keeper, and I will watch from above."

Shaman Dean said, and almost everyone became emotional.

"He's really leaving."

"I'm scared."

"Will everything stay the same?"

"Can't anything be done to make him stay here and never leave?"

Charlene sighed, unsure of what to think. Why was she asked to wait? What does the old man from her dream and the park have to do with this? He's the shaman, and he's leaving. What does it have to do with her?

Charlene groaned, frustrated that she couldn't piece together the scattered puzzle.

She looked to the side and saw Hazel sobbing quietly, along with Layla, and many other students.

"Why today?"

She mumbled, diverting her gaze to Blake, who had a blank expression.

"Why is he always cold? Maybe he's going through difficult times. Oh please, Charlene, cute guys don't go through difficult times."

She said to herself and chuckled inwardly.

Blake was tempted to laugh after hearing Charlene's thoughts, but he restrained himself. First of all, laughing wasn't his thing, and secondly, it wasn't appropriate in this melancholic atmosphere.

"Does she even know how to block her thoughts?"

He mumbled and sighed, remembering that Shaman Dean was leaving. He couldn't deny that he was scared of his own thoughts and imaginations. The nickels were the most evil species in the universe, and the fact that they were once Amazons spelled trouble.

He shifted his gaze to Louis and found him staring into space, his gaze meeting Hazel's tear-filled eyes.

"Damn."

He mumbled.

"There's no need to be scared, great Amazons. The duty of protection still resides among us."

Master Kang said, trying to ease the tension and calm the emotional atmosphere.

"But things won't remain the same."

Someone half-yelled.

"My spirit will always be with you. Just remember that I love each and every one of you. Your powers are unique, so don't harbor hate and evil in your hearts."

The shaman said with a sad smile.

"For today, classes are canceled. Everyone except Miss Charlene, return to your hostels."

Master Ryan said, and slowly, everyone began to disperse, bidding farewell to Shaman Dean along the way. Eventually, only Charlene, Master Kang, and Shaman Dean remained in the hall. Master Kang glanced at Charlene and then at Shaman Dean before excusing himself.

"Why was she asked to wait?"

Blake wondered as he walked back to his hostel.

"Maybe she has something to do with this."

Midas replied, walking beside him.

"You think so? Because I can't wrap my head around it."

He muttered.

"Why else would she be asked to wait? I find her really suspicious. Maybe this involves her."

Midas mumbled.

"I hope she's okay though."

Aiden said, disregarding what Midas had just said.

"What exactly is she?"

Blake asked himself, pacing around his room. There was a strangely strong aura around her, and surprisingly, he found himself wanting to know more, as if a force was drawing him closer to her.

"I don't think she's just a regular Amazon."

He muttered, falling onto his bed.

"Urgg."

He groaned, tapping his forehead in frustration.

"You're surprised that I asked you to wait, right?"

Shaman Dean asked, and Charlene anxiously nodded.

"There's a lot you need to know, but it's not my duty to reveal it to you. So, I'll be brief. Charlene, you are a gift. You have a strong destiny to fulfill, but making the wrong choices can ruin it."

He said, leaving Charlene confused.

"What

do you mean, sir?"

She asked.

"With time, Charlene, you will understand. But for now, avoid bad company so that history does not repeat itself. Work on mastering your numerous gifts because soon, you will need them. Never forget that the deity of protection is with you."

He said, further confusing Charlene.

"One more thing, Charlene. Tell no one about this."

He said seriously.
