The Giants Move In

After returning to the summoning room Allen decided to wait to summon both humans and wolves on a new day so they won't see the dark sky with stars as their first sight on this world. Still, he placed the Human summoning circle down. Instead this time he focused on the Vitality stone he had on hand.

[Upgrade (Human Summoning Circle) -> (Human Warrior Summoning Circle)]

[Yes] [No]

[Upgrade (Dire Wolf Summoning Circle) -> (Giant Wolf Summoning Circle)]

[Yes] [No]

[Upgrade (Forest Wolf Summoning Circle) -> (Giant Forest Wolf Summoning Circle)]

[Yes] [No]

[(Human Dirt Mage Summoning Circle) is incompatible with (Vitality Stone (Material))]

[(Upgraded Stone House) is incompatible with (Vitality Stone (Material))]

Although the Human Warrior would be interesting, the wolves were still the main combat power that attacked at close range. If he could instead obtain mages, it would be better for future prospects with ranged units that could attack from the back of the fast moving wolves.

"Wait If it is a giant wolf then does that mean it won't fit in the house? After all, Addy is considered a giant and she is taller than the trees..." While Allen continued to talk to himself and question his choices, Almos needing attention rubbed up against him.

[Upgrade (Dire Wolf) -> (Giant Wolf (Enhanced))]

[Note: Not as efficient as upgrading a whole summoning circle, but will allow for more power.]

[Yes] [No]

"You can do that?!" Heaving another sigh he quickly dismissed all the decision making for tomorrow. After spending basically the rest of his resources on another vitality stone from the trade channel Allen decided to give it a rest for today.

After leaving the summoning room Allen got a chance to see what his troops were doing in the house. There were four rooms in the house with one being dedicated to the summoning circles, while another was basically his own personal room that no one entered. The last two rooms were dedicated to everyone else.

Peeking inside the dark rooms illuminated by the moonlight Allen could see the very cramped troops where there were several people preferring the hallway since they had more room in them. After making other plans the night finally came to a peaceful close.

In the morning, after setting down the Simple Wooden House and realizing he was missing an elemental stone and not wanting to upgrade a wooden house, Allen got to work summoning more Humans. Strangely enough, the humans who were mostly men before became mostly women. Before out of the 20 summoned 1 was a woman while the rest were men, but this time the numbers were 9 out of the 10 summons were women.

Despite the strangeness of the summons, Allen sent them on their way to collect more wood, stone, or salt, depending on what Orion decided. Knowing he would have a new troop type, Giant Wolves, Allen took the last wolf summoning circle crystal outside and placed it near the camp. After summoning the Dire Wolves, Allen didn't hesitate before upgrading it to a Giant Wolf Summoning Circle.

[Giant Wolf Summoning Circle (Upgradable) (Immobile)]

[Gathers Mana to summon 10 Giant Wolves every week]

[Recruits Available: 10]

[Recruit Requirements: 300 wood, 300 stone, 300 Iron]

[Upgrade Requirements: 10,000 wood, 10,00 Stone, 10,000 Iron]

[Special Effect: All units summoned will start as completely loyal.]

Already used to this sight Allen didn't hesitate and activated the circle with almost all the resources he had on hand. Despite his empty Warehouse, Allen couldn't help but be excited as a large flash of light blinded him. After a while, ten huge wolves appeared from the light and stood staring down at him. Just as quickly as they appeared, the wolves fell to the ground with a loud *Bang* as they rolled over to show their stomach as a sign of submission.

This was supposed to be normal as they had done just as all other wolves had done in the past. The only difference between the other Wolf's sign of submission and the Giant Wolf's sign of submission was the depth of the dent they made in the earth.

These wolves were Huge being just shorter than the large Oak trees, but their length had already reached the tree's width. Feeling lucky that he decided to take the giant wolves out of the house, Allen soon realized he had a similar problem to when he summoned the squirrels.

"How am I supposed to use you?... How am I supposed to feed you?"

Suddenly the happiness of getting such a powerful troop turned into dread as to how much food he would waste just feeding such big giants. The giants that seemed to make a powerful force that would be helping him now seemed to be a curse that would hinder all future progress. Just as he was questioning how he could deal with such large beasts, Addy who had been walking all night could finally be seen.

As if the answer just presented itself he quickly mounted Almos and led the group of giant wolves running directly at Addy. The Giant Wolves themselves didn't know what was happening and just followed their small master as he charged at the giant.

Just as he slowed down when reaching Addy, the Giant wolves all surrounded Addy and took battle positions. Allen still not noticing anything just smiled and waved at Addy who didn't notice him over the huge wolves that reached her waist and surrounded her.

"AAHH! I don't want to die so soon! And I just got a chance to become human... *Sob* *Sob* Stopped by a cruel world that refused my transformation..."

Allen finally realizing the situation quickly called all the Giant Wolves back, "Everyone this is a friend, just think of her like part of your pack, just a bit bigger." Turning his attention back to Addy, "I-I am truly sorry, they were only summoned a few moments ago and I had just seen you so I guess they might have thought you were an enemy."

"Allen? Why are you scaring ME?! I thought you weren't allowed to bully me!... If you let me pet one of them I'll forgive you... for now"

"HAHA! Yeah sure sure." After ordering one of the Giant Wolves to be Addy's pet, Allen soon got to the matter he came for, "Addy, I have just come to ask you as a Giant, what do you eat? I just summoned these guys and I don't know how I will be able to take care of them."

Addy on the other hand was having fun feeling something besides the ground beneath her feet, "Food? I don't need food. Becoming a giant gave me a lot of basic information about my race, and I know we Earth Giants only need to get a few tons of earth a month, which is kind of like our food.

For water... well... basically we drink Mana in the air or ground, with a small amount coming out of nowhere. Well, that is at least what the information told me, I am not really sure what that all means besides I don't need to do anything for food and water... I could really go for a burger right now.. *sigh*

You know another weird thing I noticed was that I seem to be losing touch with my human self. I don't know if this is true or not but I think my emotions are becoming more in line with how Earth Giants feel things."

"Huh, well for the wolves how about we wait till you summon more Earth Giants, I know the humans I have summoned come with memories of their past world as well, so maybe those Earth Giants have information about these Giant wolves... Well, putting that aside, you say you are losing your humanity? What about your family in the past?"

"Family? I had one... Wait... I don't remember anything about them... I remember we were poor but could at least have food on the table each day, we lived in a small cramped apartment... What else? Where did my mom and dad work? What did they look like?... I had a little sister... Why do I remember having two dads?" Addy began to panic more and more as she realized that although she could remember the world she lived in, but nothing else, "Allen what about you and your family?"

Allen doing his best to calm her down thought about his family as well, "Wait... I had a mom and dad... What else? I had a younger sister and a younger brother... What did they look like?"

Soon a horrible conclusion surprised both people... Family friends anything to do with people were gone. Everything besides knowing that there were people, they had a family. They knew everything to do with items, social structure, and even animals, and what they looked like, but people were replaced with blurry generic figures. They could remember countries and their names, but not who ruled them or who created them. Apparently, there were problems with people of different tones of skin arguing more, but nothing could be remembered about why or what exactly they argued about. Things like Biases seemed to be washed away only leaving personality.

Sorry to all readers who got the first part of this chapter here. It was going to go in the last chapter, but while writing I ran out of time and ended it early and now you have this slight pause in story.

In case people were wondering, the setting of this forest is specifically a Pine-Oak forest that has pines on higher elevations and oaks mostly dominating the lower elevations.
