Another Lord?

As soon as they were given the order, all the wolves started working together to attack with all their strength. The giant bear found that even with its' slight increase in speed it couldn't hit anything. The bear soon realized it couldn't win and started using its' healing skill without care.

The bear was no longer as arrogant as before now that it dripped with blood. It did its' best to move around and escape further away from the fight. The wolves themselves weren't strong enough to keep it here forever, especially with Allen's order to not get hit. Still, the wolves did their best and tried to hit the same spots as other wolves did eventually disabling one leg making the rapidly escaping bear almost stop completely.

The bear soon found that it lost control over one limb after the next. After nearly 20 minutes the bear could only watch as the wolves tore apart its' skin and forcefully took out its heart, ending its' life.

Despite being disgusted by the bloodiest battle yet, Allen only came to one conclusion, "Alright let's leave the rest of the bears for tomorrow! I need time for my skill to reset! Giant Wolves, drag the body back to camp, Henry, lead a team of Forest Wolves to scout out the area around here! I want an accurate report of what is out there nearby!"

After giving everyone orders, Allen headed back to the camp while checking his stats.

"Damn god is always standing in my way..."

After arriving home, Allen realized a big problem, Almos. His blanket and cuddle wolf could no longer keep him company inside the house. After a long while Allen decided to spend one night with Almos in case choosing to spend the night with another wolf lowers more Loyalty.

After discovering there was such a thing where his troops could lose and gain loyalty, Allen had done his best to treat everyone to the best of his abilities. Of course, everyone only views him as the Lord and doesn't allow for him to mingle freely with the Humans or wolves.

After choosing a spot where he could lie down with Almos for the night, Allen soon decided to check his theory if adding one point at a time would make the process much easier. Starting from adding Vitality Allen soon found the familiar pain coarse through his veins and through his every cell. Interestingly, the pain of increasing Vitality was the least of all stats, feeling more like an extremely hot sauna that seemed to be boiling a person alive rather than burning them alive.

Soon after only a minute, the pain stopped. Still, Allen had four more points and didn't hesitate much before adding another point to Vitality... Another minute and the pain stopped. Another minute and pain stops... Eventually, all the points were allocated with the rest of the points going to strength.

Soon after adding all the points, Allen found both Orion and Henry were standing ready to give their report. After giving one last check to his stats, Allen called them all over.

"Lord! While checking the area we have found seven Plant Bears in total." (Orion)

"Lord, we have also discovered an area similar to where we are now! We believe another Lord has put up a protection nearby! We have also seen four of the seven bears surrounding that area in particular." (Henry)

"Lord, although we found that area, I believe it is more likely that it isn't another who holds a Lord title, but a more powerful creature that the bears are helpless to do anything against!" (Orion)

"Lastly, Lord, while we were cutting up the bear to put into the Warehouse, we cut open its' stomach and discovered this."

Both Orion and Henry took out two crystals each. Three crystals were easily recognizable as they were clear and glowed a faint white light. It was the three crystals each Lord gets when arriving here. The last crystal glowed a faint red light and with the other crystals, it was most likely a Lord Talent.

Allen quickly put off the task of dealing with another Lord being near his territory. He had gotten another Lord Talent through pure luck! Allen didn't hesitate any longer and quickly grabbed all the crystals from their hands.

Enjoying the feeling of devouring another Talent, Allen waited for a while before it calmed down. Seeing he had successfully devoured another Talent he didn't hesitate to check what difference it made.

Despite his disappointment at how stupid his talent was, Allen focused on the other items he obtained. "A Devil huh? Well according to my experience with the foxes, I most likely will have another useless summoning circle if I put it down..."

After thinking for a while Allen threw all the crystals into the Wharehouse and focused on the supposed other Lord. Again Orion and Henry saw their Lord fall into deep thought without a care about anything else. By this time they were so used to how their Lord acted, believing he was making plans they couldn't see, which wasn't totally wrong.

'The other Lord most likely wasn't someone as powerful as the fox as if they could control or kill a bear then they could have escaped and left whenever. So if a fight breaks out, we are likely to live even if some units get injured.

The last thing to worry about is if they will die soon. Most people will place their house when it gets dark or they are in danger, so if the Lord placed it when it got dark, they are likely to die as soon as time runs out. It is day three meaning they probably only have a few hours at most if they placed it. After all, it is getting dark. If it is a stronger boss monster then we will need to run as soon as we see it.'

After thinking for a while Allen soon made a decision, "Henry, Orion, we will get moving with the fastest Forest Wolves to check if we have another Lord nearby!" Although the setting sun could be clearly seen, Allen didn't hesitate to go and possibly save a new ally.

Running full speed, Allen soon saw a Forest Bear seemingly circling trying to find its' way into an empty space. It looked exactly how the other bear he had killed acted. He was now officially almost certain there was a Lord here.

The bear quickly noticed the pesky bugs that were disturbing it and attacked! Allen on the other hand simply avoided it and went inside what appeared to be a safe zone. The bear seemed even angrier that the bug it could easily crush was able to enter where it couldn't.

Still, Allen slowed down and ordered his troops to spread out and check the area. The area the beasts are forced to avoid is so large that he would need to walk without a wolf for a full day just to reach one side to another.

Soon within minutes, the fast wolves returned with a general direction they had seen activity. Deciding to take it slow, Allen took 20 minutes until he found what he was looking for.

A group of Elves all stood blocking the way. Allen didn't hesitate, "I am Allen! I am the Lord of a territory near here! I noticed the bears around here and while checking them out I noticed this place seemed to have another Lord! I have no ill will, but I know that the wooden house only has 2 days of protection at most, meaning you all most likely will die by the bears soon if no one helps!"

The Water Elves looked at each other before another two Water Elves and a Human came running. Allen assumed that one of the two Water Elves was the Lord and turned most of his attention to them.

"Who is the Lord?" One of the Water Elves stepped out as well as the nearby Human stayed by his side.

"I am the Lord! May I know what you want?" Just as the elf finished speaking, the Human seemed to want to talk before she was quickly quieted down by the elf covering her mouth. She glared at him before staying silent.

Allen, despite being off-put by this interaction still repeated what he said before adding with some sarcasm, "More than anything I wanted to know whether the Lord would be worth saving."

The Elf on the other hand looked at Allen for a long time before he nodded, "My name is Feno, I am the Lord here. Next to me is-"

This time the Human interrupted him, "I am Alice! I'm his wife!" She spoke proudly while grabbing the elf's arm.

Allen originally pegged the pair to be a slave human and overbearing elf at first, this mad his mind nearly short circuit at the proud girl's declaration.
