After the Battle

"These damn creatures can see in the dark." Feno pulled the attention back to him, "I need better guards that can move fast... Allen can I borrow more Wolves from you?"

"Yeah, I will send all my Wind Wolves to aid you. They aren't the most powerful, but they can move fast and are at least better than the Forest Wolves in most cases."

As the two were talking Allen was soon interrupted by several notifications.

[Great Human Light Mage (Ricardo) has learned the skill "Healing Light" and lost the skill "Basic Healing Light"]

[Requirements completed, Great Human Light Mage (Ricardo) has been upgraded: Enhanced -> Enhanced+]

Quickly reading the new prompt Allen suddenly couldn't help but feel excited at this new situation. "HAHA! This is great!"

"Oh- What happened?"

"My mage troops seem to be able to learn higher spells. Although I am unsure if it is because of the other mage troops who were summoned today, or if it could happen at any time."

"I think they must have learned from the higher-level mages. From what I heard Humans could teach each other to reach even higher levels that aren't possible alone."

Allen nodded, "This is what I thought too-"

[Great Human Light Mage (Ricardo) has learned the skill "Ball of Light"]

"Oh- Another?"

[Great Human Light Mage (David) has learned the skill "Ball of Light"]

[Enhanced Human Light Mage (Penelope) has learned the skill "Ball of Light"]

[Great Human Light Mage (Cristopher) has learned the skill "Ball of Light"]

[Great Human Light Mage...]

After a while and over a dozen messages Allen finally was left in peace to look at all the people who had suddenly learned the Ball of Light skill. Although no one else learned the regular Healing light, this small change quickly helped Allen have hope for the future. Another thing that could be clearly seen was that no one else upgraded their type like Ricardo.

"Let's head back, or at least I will head back and send you the Wind Wolves. I just got over a dozen messages saying that my light mages learned the F-rank skill, Ball of Light. Judging from how dark it is becoming I think I know why."

Feno nodded in understanding, "I will stay here for now. You can check on your troops. I hope you can send those Wind Wolves my way."

Nodding Allen quickly led the newly summoned wolf back to where the big battle had taken place nearly two hours ago. Even from a distance, the bright balls of light could be clearly seen bringing light to specific areas. Allen didn't hesitate to send all twenty wind wolves to where Feno had been and then running to Henry to get a good idea of the situation.

Henry on the other hand was doing quite well as the danger of losing more troops was basically over. "Lord! There is no longer any chance there will be more casualties. With the new healing spells that these new Light Mages brought it will only take some time before everyone is ready to fight!"

"I hope you can get everyone back onto their feet as we might have another big fight coming around the corner. Feno has just found an Undead scouting party."

Henry's smile quickly disappeared as his expression quickly became very serious. "When will this fight take place?"

"We are hoping to wait until daybreak tomorrow before sending several scouting parties to explore the area."

Henry nodded seriously, "Damn Undead can see in the dark. It would indeed be best to find them in the day where we creatures of the light can show our true strength."

Having things decided Allen quickly found the angry lady who was helping heal his troops. At this point, she was yelling at them while sitting down and resting.

"Elise was it?"

Elise took an angry look at Allen and spoke in an annoyed tone, "That's 'Miss Elise' and you better not forget it!"

"In that case, forgive me, 'Miss' Elise. Where I come from honorifics were not very widely used unless you were an official talking to another official. In any case, let me thank you for helping my troops not die after such an intense battle."

Elise's angry look calmed down, "So you are the Lord that gave me all this stupid hard work? Also, I am an official now under the great and magnanimous! Lord Alice!" Elise paused as a look of worship covered her face for a moment before remembering where she was, "*ahem* Anyway, so call me 'Miss' from now on."

"Since you wish to be called that it is the least I can do for all your help, 'Miss' Elise. Anyway, I can tell you are still busy giving orders so I won't take more of your time."

Elise looked at Allen weirdly before quickly throwing all her thoughts to the back of her mind as she quickly got back to barking orders to all the poor light mages as they learned how to treat wounds using both magic and regular techniques. Allen could only encourage the exhausted mages that their work was almost done and they could go home to eat and rest within the next hour.

After nothing was happening Allen decided to finally open the stats panel of the newly summoned wolf he was riding.

[Race: Great Wind Wolf]

[Type: Epic]

[Level 6]

[Vitality - 44]

[Strength - 53]

[Agility - 150]

[Intelligence - 120]

[Skills: Enhanced Wind Howl, Wind Cutter, Wind movement, Tornado Manipulation, Greater Wolf(Passive)]

[Loyalty - 100]

[Note: The Wind is your guide or weapon.]

[Greater Wolf (C rank) -> Gives the user great strength coming from the depths of its' bloodline. (+10% to all Stats)]

[Enhanced Wind Howl (D rank) - The user's howl is one with the wind allowing it to use the wind as the user desires. The more energy the more control available.]

Happy with the stat increase Allen ignored everything as he waited around for the last of Elise's orders to be given so that they could go home using the light mage's Ball of Light. Just as expected, Elise was happy with her work and hopped on a Forest Wolf she commandeered as she gave her last order to a random light mage that learned Ball of Light to lead the way. Everyone else was happy to leave to finally get some type of rest.

After seeing such a helpful human that knew medicine, Allen once again decided to look at what the Humans he had summoned worked as and what skills they knew. The only difference is that this time he planned to look for a human with the enhanced attribute next to the race like Alice had for all her Humans.

It was at this point Allen found two interesting things, Ricardo and the Glorious Light Mages.

[Race: Human(Enhanced)]

[Type: Enhanced+]

[Level 3]

[Class: Great Light Mage]

[Vitality - 31]

[Strength - 10]

[Agility - 19]

[Intelligence - 74]

[Talent: Basic Light of Learning (D rank)]

[Skills: Healing Light, Blinding Light, Faith of Light, Ball of Light]

[Loyalty - 100]

[+20% to intelligence when using Light magic.]

[Note: Light is what he knows best.]

[Basic Light of Learning (D rank) -> Light skills are more easily learned (+1 Intelligence per level)]

Having a single unit with a talent seemed to be the greatest thing as he could easily see how impressive the man was even compared to the Glorious Mages. He was only one level below them yet his stats weren't very far from them even having more strength compared to them. Granted strength doesn't mean much when your main attack or defense is magic, still, this alone shows how powerful a person with a talent is compared to regular mages.

The Glorious Mages also were a bit strange since all of them knew the skill Ball of Light While others had an extra skill. There were five mages with an extra skill with three having a skill called 'Burning Light (F rank)' while the other two had a skill called 'Magnify (E rank)'. Checking back on the messages that he had received before about who was learning Ball of light, Allen realized that five of those messages were from the mages who had two different skills.

[Burning Light (F rank) -> Creates a small slow-moving ball of light that when pressed against something will burn it.]

[Magnify (E rank) -> When used together with another light skill, the skill will be enhanced. (+5% Effect)]

While checking everyone Allen also found something even stranger about Henry who he had checked before and didn't have anything.

[Race: Human(Enhanced)]

[Type: Common]

[Level 1]

[Class: Dirt Mage]

[Vitality - 3]

[Strength - 3]

[Agility - 7]

[Intelligence - 15]

[Skills: Basic Earth Manipulation, Squad Leader]

[Loyalty - 100]

[+5% to intelligence when using earth magic.]

[Note: The Earth is their tool.]

[Squad Leader (F rank) -> When leading a group of Humans who you have led for a while, whatever you say will make them feel like they must follow.]

Unfortunately, that was all he found that was special. Everyone else had no special stats and only three had special jobs they learned in the past, for example, the three seamstresses that were already fixing anyone's clothes that had been ripped.

After a while of double-checking and finding nothing, Allen finally went to sleep not very comfortable with the threat of Undead looming over his head. Even worse, the Undead that weren't affected by the fear effect of the house.
