Chapter 16: Advantage of powerful Family

I hurriedly asked Lily to end the life of the Nightmare python in front of me.

" I wasn't scared at all, it was just the expression of utter bliss on its horrifying face ( there were several serrated fangs protruding all over its head) was too cute for my tiny heart to handle."

Lily skillfully killed the python with her Khukuri.

" OOF... The graceful manner in which she impaled the khukuri into the eye of the python before destroying its mind and killing it.", it would have mesmerized everyone if the brain matter hadn't oozed out from its eye socket.

Those were some moves she showed while killing the python. But, The purplish brain matter that oozed out of the python's eyes was a totally different sight to behold.

I was even ready to throw up everything that I had eaten till now but I was able to control my churning stomach till the body of the python disintegrated into nothingness, leaving some drops in the ground.

Goblin came from nowhere and stored it inside his stomach before vanishing from the area.

Only after the drops from the python were taken away from my sight by the Goblin did I slowly inhale a large amount of air and calm down my stomach.

" Why would I have such reactions you say.?

Well, No idea.

Let's not talk about my pale face for now and continue to hunt the monsters, Shall we?

I especially asked Lily to kill the python somewhere far from my sight. Lilith was the only one who was guarding me today. She was worked up for some reason, I could even see a twinkle in her eyes for some reason.

" Ahemm... No question asked."

It had already been about two hours hunting the monsters and I wasn't having a great time.

The messages that were ringing in my mind nonstop had started making me irritated during the hunt.

Also, We weren't able to obtain the tier-1 flare crystal from the monsters after killing them for two freaking hours.

" Well, only three Tier-1 Nighare pythons had been killed by us till now."

Hence, I directly exited from the lord space after asking Lilith to continue their hunt for some time before returning to the territory.

" Sigh... Why is it so hard to obtain a tier-1 crystal?"

I could only helplessly sigh thinking about flare crystal for now.

" Should I purchase tier-1 flare crystal from the Lord's Market???"

But this idea was hurriedly thrown out of my brain.

First, Those flare crystals would cost Way more than those two khukuri purchased by my father. He couldn't even purchase them with federal currency.

Also, only those who had identified themselves as a lord within the federation were eligible to purchase the flare crystals and other items required for the lords. The authenticity of those identified lords was the Lord card distributed by the federation after checking the background, history, and stats of the lord when they awakened.

"And I hadn't obtained my lord card till now."

Normal people like my father were only eligible to purchase tier-0 items from the federation with their identity as citizens of the federation.

Also, I wouldn't have enough credit points on me even if I had been provided with a lord card by the federation.

Even if I had a lord card with enough credit points, having my identity as a newly awakened Tier-0 lord without any prominent background would make it hard for me to purchase the Tier-1 flare crystal as they would already have been secured by those newly awakened ones with powerful backgrounds.

Sigh, There were several reasons for problems but no solutions.

" Alright, let's not dwell on the matter related to flare crystal right now."

Anyway, It had just been two days since the awakening ceremony. Having qualifications to even hunt tier-0 initial-level monsters would be worth celebrating for any lord and I was already hunting tier-1 monsters without much problem. That was worth celebrating.

Thinking about the fact, that I was already above my peers made me relax a little and stop thinking about tier-1 flare crystal for now.

I had already spent about five and half hours inside the lord's space hunting monsters today.

So, I didn't return to my territory right away but went outside to roam towards the park in the shelter while watching many people rush towards their homes after working today.

Several little children were hopping around with smiles on their cute faces while their parents were chatting with each other sitting under the trees, enjoying the cool breeze flowing around them.

Looking around and listening to the normal people happily chatting with each other, it felt like they had returned to those old days before the awakening when people didn't have to face evolved monsters.

I also enjoyed the company of these people from the shelter while looking at the children happily playing with each other.

It would have been the perfect way to live your life if SF didn't exist in the atmosphere.

I only returned to my house with my father who passed through the park where I had been sitting the whole evening. The only road that connected our community to the city of our shelter where most of the people worked passed by the park that was packed with people during the evening.

We didn't return to our place directly as my mother was also there gossiping with other ladies.

My father also mixed with his group and started happily chatting with them. They would laugh heartily from time to time.

I even played with those little ones, telling them stories about the lords, their strength, and their feats making them flush red with excitement.

It was 7:30 by the time we returned to our house. My mother directly entered the kitchen while my father went to change his clothes.

/ There is a festive environment in both houses. People from other houses congratulated these two geniuses for their future./

The Television was filled with several pieces of news but the first two pieces of news regarding two geniuses made me envy them for being born into powerful families.

I also had the qualifications to upgrade the tier of my territory but, I didn't have the ability or powerful family backing me to obtain the flare crystal like them.

I could only pin my hopes on the tier-1 monsters within the forest for now.

If I couldn't obtain the flare crystal till the time for the school test, only getting the first position in the test would get me a flare crystal to upgrade my tier.

" Sigh... Having talent but no resources is also going to hinder the growth ."

I could only sigh in envy remembering those two people who upgraded their territory into tier-1 today.

" Is something bothering you Sumit?", my father asked me from beside me.

" No... Just wondering about something..", I replied to him.

" Just let nature take its course!?."

Listening to me, he only patted my back three times before returning his focus to the news.

" Dinner is ready !"
