Thankfully, Jay also saw some police and firemen have already come into the scene.
While the firemen conduct rescue operations, the police are all armed with weapons and are looking out for terrorists.
After looking at them for a while, Jay closed the door and turned back to his family and said,
"The situation outside still looks bad. But thankfully, the police and the firefighters are already here."
Hearing his words, the other four each let out a sigh of relief.
"That's good, that's good."
"Yeah, it's great that the police are here now."
Jay's parents said one after another.
As for Jean and Ley, they stuck close to Jay's mother and father like two kids who are insecure about their surroundings.
Jay didn't bother them and understood that the two are really feeling scared at the moment.
This could even turn into trauma for the two who are not handled well.
Anyway, now is not the time to talk about that.
Jay and his parents discussed for a while about their next course of action.
At first, Jay's parents suggested calling the authorities through their phones.
However, when they took it out, just like Jay's phone, theirs also didn't have signals.
Because of this, they could only throw out of the window the thought of calling the police outside.
In a dilemma, the three thought hard about what they should do.
After some consideration, Jay and his parents finally decided to attract the attention of the police or firefighters so that they can guide them out of the mall.
Doing this will help ensure that they will be protected if more terrorists come towards them.
With the decision already laid, Jay told his parents to stay in place as he called for the police and firefighters outside.
The elderly couple didn't say anything at this because they know that only Jay could do this in their current situation.
So, the two of them watched Jay as he stepped out of the door with worried faces.
…
Most of the police and firefighters are in the center of the mall, keeping alert of their surroundings.
This means that their location is quite far from where Jay and the others are currently in.
This is the reason why Jay had to step outside and call for the police and firefighters himself.
Scanning his surroundings, Jay didn't see any suspicious figure of a terrorist nearby.
"Great, fortunately those bastards aren't here." Jay muttered under his breath.
With careful steps, Jay made his way to the gathering of authorities while trying to avoid attracting any eyes towards him.
This is to ensure his safety.
After all, he can't really be too sure if there's no terrorist hiding nearby.
In the case that there's indeed someone hiding near, Jay might end up dead if he caught the attention of those people.
Unfortunately, his level 2 fighting skill doesn't provide any help in this situation.
Thankfully, Jay arrived at the gathering place of the police and firefighters after more than 10 minutes of covert movements.
"Haaa… I'm finally here." Jay muttered.
Without even bothering to relax, Jay ran up to the nearest firefighter who's tending to an injured civilian.
"Sir, sir, please help!"
The firefighter looked at him with a serious face.
"Sir, you're already safe here. We will guide you out of the mall immediately."
Hearing that, Jay hurriedly said, "No, wait, please help my family first!"
Next, Jay started talking about his family and where they are currently in.
After hearing everything from Jay, the firefighter called for his colleagues and immediately sprung up to action.
With the firefighters and a few policemen, Jay headed back to the stairs in the backroom.
Fortunately, nothing happened along the way and Jay's family, along with Ley, were rescued successfully by the authorities.
After that, the family, along with a few other civilians, we're guided out by the authorities out of the mall safely.
…
Sitting outside of an ambulance, Jay's wound is being taken care of by a female doctor.
Beside him, his family and Ley are watching him with concerned faces.
"Son, how are you feeling now?"
His mother asked, looking worried.
His father also chimed in and said, "Make sure to tell the doctor if there's anywhere you're hurting."
Feeling their concerns and care for him, Jay smiled and reassured them.
"Mom, Dad, don't worry, okay?"
"I'm telling you, I'm pretty strong so I'm not hurt."
Just as he said that, Jay flinched because the doctor was disinfecting the wound on his shoulder.
"Hisss!"
"Please don't move, I will patch it up immediately."
The female doctor immediately held Jay in place as she placed a bandage on his shoulder.
After a few seconds, Jay's been all fixed up.
"Remember to clean your wound after you get back home. Don't forget to disinfect it."
After saying that, the doctor left and went to another wounded civilian.
Jay got up and walked to his family.
"How is it, Son? Are you alright now?"
"Yes, Mom. The doctor already fixed my wound. She said that I should be good after a few days."
Jay's mother immediately heaved a sigh of relief.
"That's great, that's great news."
Then, it was Jay's turn to look at them and said, "How about you all? What did the doctor say?"
When they got out of the mall, Jay and the others were met with doctors each.
It's just that the four of them didn't seem to be injured anywhere and were sent away not long after.
That is why the four of them are gathering around Jay.
After hearing Jay's question, his father said, "Thankfully, there was no problem with your bodies."
"However, another doctor who seems to be a psychiatrist checked up on us as well."
"She counseled all of us already and made sure that we were mentally alright."
At the end of his words, Jay's father can't help but glance at Jean and Ley on the side.
Then he continued, "The psychiatrist only asked the two girls to come to her on another date."
Hearing that, Jay turned his eyes to look at his sister and Ley.
Jay can't help but feel worried.
