A man from earth gets a chance to go to heaven Or fight monsters. Of course he picks the option to fight monsters.
"What the hell just happened!?!"
Uncovering their heads, Tommy and Hawes looked up at the dark sky in fear. Almost getting struck by lightning really shook them to their bones but Tommy was able to recover quickly. Getting to his feet, Tommy slowly walked over to the spear in Jason's grave that caused the lightning to strike the spear.
The spear that became a unintended lightning rod was still smoking a little from the blast. A strange feeling came over Tommy, urging him to touch the spear. As expected, it was still hot which made Tommy recoil his hand.
"Tommy, what are you doing?"
Hawes tried to figure out what his friend was doing, but Tommy couldn't hear him. He pulled out a pair of gloves from his jacket, putting them on, he then attempted to remove the spear. He couldn't get the proper leverage, so he jumped down into Jason's grave to get a better leverage.
He struggled to pull the spear out as it seemed to be driven into the bottom of the coffin as well. Hawes slowly leaned down into the grave to get a better look at what his friend was doing, and to also to leave the area.
"Let's just get the hell out of here. my heart can't take any more of this."
"No. I need to make sure still."
"But Tommy, he was struck by freaking lightning! Twice!"
"Hawes you better shut up! I need to check!"
While the 2 friends argued, they didn't notice that Jason was staring wickedly at Tommy, as if old memories were returning to his mind.
Tommy to busy with his arguing with Hawes was finally able to yank the spear out, and threw it up onto the grass.
"Tommy we need to leave, I'm telling you, somethings wrong."
But Tommy was to caught up in his anger, as he slowly removed his gloves and tossed them out, as he started to climb out.
"TOMMY! MOVE!"
Due to being distracted by arguing with Hawes and being clouded by anger, Tommy was unable to notice that Jason was slowly raising him self up and grabbing Tommy's leg from behind.
Hawes, unable to comprehend what was happening in front og him went crazy with hysteria, and ran away from the grave, leaving poor Tommy all alone.
"AHHHHH HAWES!
Tommy was fighting for his life as Jason tried to pull him down into the grave with him. Jason's grip felt like it was cracking his bones, making Tommy scream out in pain. On instinct, Tommy kicked Jason as hard as he could, forcing Jason back down long enough for Tommy to climb out.
He scrambled for the gas can as the storm clouds roared above. Getting to the can, Tommy quickly turned around and starts throwing it on the rising corpse of Jason. The gas harmlessly splashed all over him as he continued to craw out of his grave.
Tommy moved back from Jason as he slowly got out of his grave, successfully standing up and staring at Tommy. He was terrifed, but there was now more then enough gas now on Jason.
'He's coming closer!'
'Where's my matches?!'
Panicking, Tommy searched his pockets for his matched. He was eventually able to find them and pull them out, only for the storm clouds above them to erupt with an incredible downpour.
Fera consumed Tommy as he looked up at the monster that has haunted him for years, the maggots in his body starting to wash off of him as he stared at Tommy like a helpless victim.
"NO!NO!NO!"
Tommy desperately tried to light a match in the pounding rain, his hands struggling with the soaked matchbook.
Jason started to close in, his eyes holding a monsterous glint like a predator hunting down it's prey. The color drained from Tommy's face as he felt pure horror at his situation, but suddenly Hawes jumped out from behind, holding up a shovel and hollering as loud as he could.
"AHHHHHHH!!!!"
Hawes hit the back of Jason's head as hard as he could, every last bit of strength he could muster being put into the strike.
Yet it was for naught.
The shovel broke in half once it connected with Jason's head, not even fazing the undead monster.
"HAWES RUN!"
Tommy desperately yelled out to his only friend, but that was all he could do. He had that same feeling that he felt right before Jason killed his mom, that primal fear inside of his head mixed with a unnatural dread of death was here again right in front of him.
Tommy could only reach out towards his friend as Jason whipped around and forcefully punched through Hawes' chest. Jason's hand, clutching Hawes' heart, bursted out Hawes' back. His heart still beating in Jason's hand.
Jason ripped off Hawes dead corpse off his arm as he watched it drop into Jason's grave below, the lid shutting over him once he fell.
Jason turned around, seeing a horrifed Tommy stuck standing in the same place he was, unable to comprehend that his friend just died in front of him.
*SPLAT*
"...what..."
Hawes barely beating heart was thrown right at his feet by Jason.
Tommy ran like hell.
POV change:
"Hmm."
I currently have been walking for 15 minutes.
In the pouring rain.
"FUCK!"
I followed where I saw the 2 lightning bolts struck, even finding a dirt road to follow. Still, that didn't help me as I have been following it for 15 minutes straight with no sign of anything in sight.
It wasn't that bad for a bit, until I heard thunder and a heavy downpour suddenly appeared out of nowhere. And now I was soaked head to toe, still being forced to walk along the path.
"Damn man, can't something just come to me instead? I'm tired of walking in the rain..."
It must have been fate itself helping me because right after I said that, I saw lights!
Head lights to be specific!
"Fuck yeah! Let's go."
Running to the middle of the road, I tried to wave at the incoming car lights but strangely the car seemed to come closer to me even faster then they were already coming at me.
'Why aren't they slowing down? Pretty sure they can see me now with how close they were.'
I looked at the car closly and saw it was actually a old pick up truck. It raced down the road with no intent to stop, going well over 60 miles per hour and getting faster.
A thought suddenly hit me as I saw the speeding truck head towards me.
'It's going to hit me.'
"HEY STOP!"
I tried to yell at it to stop like a dumbass, thinking that the driver could hear me.They couldn't hear me, and got even closer to me, only like 30 meters away roughly.
I could move out the way but seeing how fast the driver was, they weren't going to stop and I'd miss my ride. I don't want to pop the tires ether cause that would cause the truck to crash most likely with how fast it's moving. I think I only have one choice:
Stop the truck myself.
With physical enhancement magecraft I should be able to stop a speeding truck. Kirei was able to create massove craters with his strength enhanced so I think I'll be fine.
The truck was getting closer, 20 meters at best. I need to act fast.
I searched my mind, trying to find what I need: Magecraft. It was easy to find, and to actiavte it only need a mental command. I felt a surge of strength flow throw my body. Every muscle, bone, nerve, everything felt strong.
'10 meters away.'
Lifting my arms, I prepared to catch and stop this speeding truck.
'15 feet away.'
I dug my feet into the dirt below me.
'10 feet away.'
The rain continued to poor down on me.
'5 feet away.'
"Fuck this is a bad idea now that I think about it!!!."
*CRUNCH*
"OH SHIT!"
The truck hit my hands at full force, denting the front of it and pushing me back. The kinetic energy from the impact rattled my bones but I stood firm. I stomped my foot and took a step forward, and then another.
The truck screeched as its tires fought against me, I could feel the force coursing through my arms as I strained against the vehicle's momentum. The rain splattered around us.
The driver inside the truck must have finally realized what was happening, as the brakes squealed in protest. The truck's tires locked up, leaving long skid marks on the wet road. My shoes dug deeper into the ground as I pushed against the truck.
Despite the rain, I could partially see the driver's face through the windshield as they struggled to control the vehicle. I couldn't help but grit my teeth and focus, determined to bring the truck to a complete stop.
The truck's tires smoked as they skidded against the road, the sound of screeching rubber piercing through the rain's constant drumming. I held my ground, not budging a inch.
Finally the truck came to a sudden halt. The truck being shut off by the driver inside. I released a breath I hadn't realized I was holding, my heart pounding from the adrenaline coursing through my veins.
"DAMN THAT WAS EXHILERATING!"
I don't know why, but I felt excited after realizing what I just did. I couldn't help but smile and let out a laugh. I noticed the truck door open as a young blonde hair man stepped out of the drivers seat staring at me in shock. He was caucasian, barely older then me on top of it.
"Wha...Wha...Wha...?"
"What the hell just happened?"
"Well I just stopped your truck."
The man looked at the dented truck hood, and then back at me. He covered his face with his hands as he began to apologize to me.
"I am so sorry man, I...I...have been through a lot this night."
'Poor soul.'
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that he just went through something traumatic, prolly the main reason why he was going so fast.
"Hey it's alright, but did you not see me in the road?"
"Huh? I only-"
He stopped mid sentence as he started to think deep about something.
"I didn't see you...I didn't see you until you stopped the truck with whatever you are."
'So he couldn't see me, even at such a close distance.'
'Weird.'
"Well can you take me out of here then?"
Knocking him out of his deep thinking, the man looked surprised at my request.
"Uh, sure?"
"Great! Thanks man,"
I walked over to the passenger side and got inside the old truck. The man followed and got into the drivers seat.
"Oh I didn't get your name, my name is August, August Ramos."
He turned to me with a tired look in his eyes.
"Tommy, Tommy Jarvis."
