New Start

I slowly opened my eyes to see...nothing...

I looked around and it's the same place again that kept appearing in my dream. It's always been dark and empty.

I didn't bother to search the area with my eyes in hopes of spotting something. I attempted to walk but soon noticed that my feet were floating in midair.

What is the meaning of this dream? Do i know of anything I have done during the past few years that I was unaware of? or is it as a result of what I want? Is this what will happen?

Dark, dreary, and nothing at all?

All of sudden my heart started to pound fast and it's getting harder to breath as I struggled for air.

I-i can't breath! It's doing it again! My body was compressing and it felt like I'm going to explode!

A glowing ember suddenly appeared a few meters apart from me, and I whirled around. I put an attempt to act and flee ahead.

Nevertheless, I abruptly came to a stop when I noticed a woman's silhouette in the light, reaching out to me with both hands.

I narrowed my vision in order to see her clearly. She has beautiful, wavy hair that catches the light.

W-who is she?

I wanted to know what she is doing in my dream. I find it difficult to understand...

I tried to take a grab for it when she suddenly disappeared into thin air. The light started to fade and it suddenly turned into a Black hole.

My eyes widen in shocked as I felt despair.

This is what I fear the most..sucking me into nothingness.

H-help! S-somebody!? A-anybody!? P-ple-

"ase-!" I jolted out of bed, sweat came running through my forehead while catching my breath.

I quickly touched and pinched my whole body to assure I'm not dreaming anymore.

I took a deep sigh when I felt pain from pinching myself.

It was just a dream after all..

I looked around my bedroom and through the window, darkness was still outside. I glanced at my digital clock and it was already four in the morning.

"BREAKING NEWS: Mr. Frederick De Leopold, CEO of Leopold's Enigma Companies and one of the richest businessmen in the City of Bredon, has now been discovered dead."

The news was being broadcast as it's voice reverberated through my kitchen and into my living room.

After hearing the unbelievable, terrible news, I stopped pouring the tea.

M-mr. Frederick is dead? Since and how?

I putted down the teapot carefully and immediately walked my way inside my living room to watch the news.

"According to the investigation, the mentioned businessman was found no life on his bed, However his home in Veritas was undisturbed, but there was no indication of a break-in or an assault nearby."

What a tragedy.

"While the Heir, Mr. Alexander Marius Leopold, had already taken control of the company and all of its assets." An image flashed in the screen, showing the picture of a Handsome man. Alexander Leopold..

I was shocked at how he looked.

His gorgeous yellow-gold eyes,pointy nose, fine lips, and perfectly sculpted jaw all stand out.

He is definitely attractive, and every lady would fall head over heels for him. Aside from that, he has pretty much everything.

"We are still waiting for them to make any other announcements as he has still not responded to questions regarding the Funeral or the location of the service. Bredon City residents extend the Leopold family their sincere condolences.

After the news, I turned off the TV and continued my daily routine.

I think it's too much for today and many things happened this morning. I wonder if I could have any luck for today to my job's interview?

Well I think there's one way to find out.

I looked in the mirror to make sure I looked well in my black fitting trousers and white collar shirt. When I viewed in the mirror, I grinned at myself.

Not bad after all

It's important for me to start my scheduled job interviews today. What kind of work will I acquire, I wonder? I could have been a secretary or whatever because I was more interested in managing and socialism.

I laughed to myself.

Silly Ghilette.

I slid the key into my pockets after locking and closing the door.

"You sure happy today, Haven."

I heard someone from my side and when I find who it was. I saw my neighbor, locking his apartment door.

"Bryan~!" I greeted with a wave as he approached me with a smile, showing his dimple on both of his cheeks. He chuckled when he got Infront of me.

"Hey! What's up?"

"Nothing much. By the way you're early today, you're up to a new job interview?" Bryan asked and we started navigating our way through the elevator.

"Yeah I am. How about you? You still doing skateboard competitions?" I asked him back and I noticed he's carrying a Duffel Bag instead of his Skateboard.

"Of course I do. Today I'll be going to my Mom's place for a while in Aberdeen to pay a visit to my lil brother and sister. You don't know how they love skateboarding." He shared in his brightest tone.

We walked inside the elevator after the door opened.

"Really? That's so cool! It would be such fun having siblings like them," I said with excitement.

Before he could answer me, Bryan pressed the bottom button and the door automatically closed, heading down.

"I often trained them whenever I pay a visit and of course accidents can't be avoided that time," He said.

I just answered him in a humm and stood quietly beside him.

Bryan Schimdt, I just knew him when I moved in this place. It was funny that he is the only neighbor who greeted me upon my arrival which is rather made me welcome.

When we got at the ground floor, we stepped out one by one to avoid bumping each other.

"So I'll see you soon?" Bryan smiled.

"Sure I'll see you next time." I smiled back.

"Then see you on the other side!"

And he waved goodbye as he took his departure.

I was quickly perplexed by what he stated.

What does that mean exactly? So, I suppose it's either nothing at all or anything.

I relaxed myself by inhaling deeply.

I'm not going to mess up this time, so everything needs to be flawless and poised! I'm positive!
