Kayla takes a deep breath. She is sitting in her own kitchen once again. Elijah kept his word. He didn't harm her, he even brought her home. She drinks her cup of coffee while Jenna searches in the closets. "ey, what are you doing" asks Elena. "Great timing" says Jenna and gives Elena a box. "What is all this stuff?" "Your mom's files from the Historical Society. I got roped into helping Mrs. Lockwood and by roped, I mean very excited to participate." Elena nods. "She closes the closet door. Elijah is on the other side. Elena is very startled. He looks at her." "Hey, I'm Elijah." Kayla rolls her eyes. "Very smooth" groans Kol. "Elijah's in town doing research on Mystic Falls" says Jenna. Elijah gets closer to Elena. "It's a pleasure." They shook hands. Elena gets nervous. Very obvious. "So you're welcome to stay here and rummage through this stuff or Elena and I could help you load it into your car." "Or I can get someone to pick it up tomorrow." "Also a good plan." "Thank you so much for inviting me into your home, Jenna, Kayla and Elena..." Elijah looks at her. "I hope to see you again sometime soon." Kayla swallows. "Kayla go upstairs" Elijah whispers. Kayla takes a deep sigh. "Just do as the man says" scoffs Kol. Kayla sighs and walks upstairs.

He leaves. Elena rushes upstairs to Jeremy's bedroom. She knocks on the door but Elijah grabs her wrist. Jeremy opens the door. Elijah hides next to the door and motions with a finger to his lips that Elena not tell Jeremy that he's there. "What is it" asks Jeremy. "Jenna was just asking me to get you to help her with the boxes." "Okay" Jeremy says and leaves. Elijah looks at Elena. "What do you want" asks Elena. Elijah walks out of the shadows, showing that he is holding Kayla close to his chest. Elena gasps. "Let her go!" " I think it's time you and I had a little chat" says Elijah amused.

"Forgive the intrusion. I mean your family no harm" says Elijah and drops Kayla in her bed. Kayla sighs when he comes to sit next to her. "Why did you kill those vampires when they tried to take me?" "Because I didn't want you to be taken. Klaus is the most feared and hated of the Originals, but those that fear him are desperate for his approval. If word gets out that the doppelgänger exists, there'll be a line of vampires eager to take you to him and I can't have that." Kayla looks surprised at him. Kol his mouth falls open. "Well, well. The good brother has a bad plan. "Isn't that exactly what you're trying to do?" "Yeah do tell mate" says Kol interested. "Let's just say that my goal is not to break the curse." "Isn't it" asks Kol and Kayla together. "So, what is your goal?" "Klaus's obsession has made him paranoid. He's a recluse. He trusts only those in his immediate circle." 'Like you?" "Not anymore" says Elijah. "Join the club" groans Kol. "I'm sorry" says Kayla and looks at Elijah. Elijah nods. "You don't know where he is, do you? So you're trying to use me to draw him out." "Well, to do that I need you to stay put and stop trying to get yourself killed." "How do I know that you are telling the truth?" "Elijah doesn't lie" says Kol. Kayla repeats him. Elijah his eyes flicker in the light. "If I wasn't being truthful, all your family would be dead and I'd be taking you to Klaus right now. Instead, I'm here and I'm prepared to offer you a deal. Did you even notice that Kayla was with me for two and a half days?" Elena looks up at Kayla. "Wait what?" Kayla sighs. "Thank you" says Kayla annoyed. "Terrible bitch sister" groans Kol. "What kind of deal" asks Elena and shakes her head. "Do nothing. Do nothing, live your life, stop fighting and then, when the time is right, you and I shall draw out Klaus together and I shall make sure your friends remain unharmed." "And then what" asks Kol, Kayla and Elena in unison. "Then I kill him." "You cannot kill our brother mate" says Kol. "Kol doesn't believe you can'" says Kayla. "Just like that" asks Elena. "Just like that. I'm a man of my word, Elena. I make a deal; I keep a deal." "And that my darling is not a lie, right there!" "I know that is not a lie" says Kayla. Elijah nods again politely. "How are you going to be able to keep everybody safe?" " I notice you have a friend; Bonnie, is it? She seems to possess the gift of magic. I have friends with similar gifts." Kayla rolls her eyes. The creepy warlock didn't really seem helpful to her. "You know witches" asks Elena. "Warlocks" says Kayla. "Darling, do not say too much yet" says Kol. "Together, we can protect everybody that matters to you. So, do we have a deal?" "Take the deal darling" says Kol. "I need you to do one more thing for me." "You dare" scoffs Kol. "We're negotiating now?" Kayla swallows. "Come on Elena" says Kayla soft.

Kayla takes a deep breath and rubs her naked arms. She feels cold and scared of being back in the tomb. "Don't worry Kayla, when Elijah says that nothing will happen to you. He means it." Katherina and Stefan walks towards the opening right after Elijah slides the door open. Katherine swallows and takes a step back. "Elijah" she gasps. "Good evening Katerina. Thank you for having the good sense to be frightened." "Kayla everything okay" asks Stefan worried. Kayla nods hastily. "Your release has been requested" says Elijah and looks at Stefan. "What? By who" asks Stefan confused. "The lovely Elena drives a hard bargain. However, we reached a peaceful agreement, she and I. Please." He gestures to Stefan to walk out. "Come." "I can't." "Yes, you can. I've had the spell lifted." Stefan gets out slowly. Once he's out, Katherine rushes to get out too, but still finds the invisible barrier there. Elijah compels her: "As for you however, you should not exit until I say so. When Klaus comes, he'll want to know exactly where you are." He looks at Stefan. "You're free to go. Elena will explain the arrangement to you. If she keeps her word, I'll keep mine" he says and takes Kayla her hand. "Wait" yells Stefan. Elijah stops. "Please do not involve Kayla in this. "Kayla will stay with me as long I am not sure I can trust you" says Elijah and vampire speeds away with Kayla.

Kayla gasps when he stops. "Elijah, please stop doing that." "Isn't it fun darling" jokes Kol. "My head spins and my stomach can't take it." Elijah looks amused at her. "My, my. I haven't given it a thought. You haven't eaten yet." "You only think about it right now mate" says Kol offended. Kayla swallows. He was right. She hadn't eaten yet for so long. Her stomach is twisting and turning. Elijah smiles. "So what will it be, Italian. Chinese? Latin?" "I eh.. I don't have any money" says Kayla. "I didn't ask for money" says Elijah amused. Kol scoffs. "That would be it brother. Kidnapping MY girl and then letting her pay her own meal!" "No but the restaurant might" says Kayla jokingly. Elijah smiles. "Just pick" he says. "Pick Italian darling. Please pick Italian" begs Kol. Kayla scoffs. "Fine, Italian." "See, that is not how it works. You need to pick. Not Kol" says Elijah with a grin. "How did you?" "I know my brother" Elijah answers. Kayla chuckles. "Come on now" says Kol offended. "Well, I really am craving Chinese for a while already" she says. "Chinese it will be" says Elijah. "Oh darling. No anything but Chinese" groans Kol. Kayla puts her tongue out at him.

"The trick is" says Elijah and picks one single piece of rice up with a pair of chopsticks. He groans and bursts out laughing when the piece of rice falls down on his expensive suit. Kayla laughs. "Oh I get it now" she teases. Elijah laughs. "No, that was not what I ment" he says and wipes the rice from his pants. "So, you are telling me that the trick is to wear a very expansive 300 doller suit and spill rice all over it?" "6000 dollar to be precisely" corrects Elijah amused. "Oh wow, well sorry to tell you but then you need to come in five years" she says. "Why is that" laughs Elijah. "Well in five years I am going to meet a magic fairy and she will make me rich" jokes Kayla. "And what about me then darling" says Kol offended. Elijah laughs so hard that he almost drops his glass of Daniels. Kayla chuckles and eat her Yangzhou Fried Rice. "Elijah can I ask you a personal question?" Elijah looks up. "You my child, can ask me anything." "Somebody likes you" jokes Kol. "Do you know where your siblings are?" Kol looks up at Kayla. "With siblings I assume you mean Kol?" Kayla swallows. "That obvious huh?" Elijah chuckles. "Come on mate, spill it!" "Last time I spoke with Niklaus, he said that I should stop searching. He daggers my siblings. All of them and gave them a watery grave." "That bastard" groans Kol. Kayla swallows. "So he could be anywhere" she whispers. "I am sorry" says Elijah. "But do not fear. I will help you, Kayla. I too want to find my siblings." Kayla nods. "I really want to find him Elijah." Elijah smiles. "As do I, I guarantee you that." Kayla eats on in silence. She does believe him. That is not the problem. She just.. Doesn't know if she can find him. She was so sure... But a watery grave... He could be anywhere... "Do not fear Kayla, we will be reunited. I do promise you that" says Kol. Kayla smiles.
