摘要

Our lives are based on lies. Historically, heroes were supposed to be the role models we looked up to, but were they? Some of them steal other people's fiancées, murder people to make a point, and so on. If these are the heroes, then who was the villain? Does being killed by a hero make someone a villain? Has anyone had the experience of living the life of a villain? Were they truly the villains we were led to believe they were? Chapter 1What is it?

With a laptop bag on his back, a young man in jeans and a T-shirt just got off a bus at the busiest intersection in a bustling city.

He stared at the same old buildings and crowded streets as the bus door closed behind him.

Instinctively, he turned around to see the bus leaving the stop.

He sighed and began walking, while his mind moaned at the boring life he was living. Apart from work, his life was meaningless. Spending so much time at work made him feel fatigued and drained. It was a life with no excitement

Although he had achieved success in his professional life, his personal life was a mess.

As an orphan, he struggled his whole life to achieve success. But after achieving it, there was no one to brag about it. And those so-called friends who live superficial life do not exist for him.

While he lamented about his boring life, he soon stood in front of a tall building as several people rushed into it.

After taking a long breath to clear his mind as he walked toward the building, where he would spend another boring day. However, suddenly someone slammed into him and he fell to the ground.

"Fuck," He silently cursed and stood up to dust off his body. His gaze then turned towards the man who had slammed into him.

It was an old bloke with ragged clothes and unkempt hair who appeared to be a beggar at first glance.

The old man jumped to his feet and bolted away as if he was being pursued.

"Well, what a way to start the day!" grumbled the young man as he watched the old man flee. But something on the ground caught his attention.

This appeared to be an old book with a tattered leather cover. His curiosity overtook him as he bent down to pick up the book, but a voice called to him unexpectedly.

"Andy, are you all right?"

After turning around, he noticed a security guard rushing toward him.

"It's alright," Andy said, staring at the panting security guard

"He probably stole something from the store and ran away," the security guard stated as he peered into the area where the old guy fled.

"Perhaps," Andy mumbled as he entered the building, with a book in his hand.

As he waited in front of the elevator, he swiftly stuffed the book inside his bag.

TING

The sound attracted his attention, and he saw the elevator door open. Inhaling deeply, he stepped into the elevator to begin another boring day of his life.

------------------------------------------------------

When Andy stepped outside the building, he was welcomed by the dark night. He noticed that everyone was hurrying home because the weekend was right around the corner.

He sighed as he walked to the bus station. He doesn't mind if it's the weekend or not because he'll be working from home.

His gaze was pulled to the passengers as soon as he stepped on the bus, who appeared to be going about their business. After sitting on the empty bus seat, he stared out the window at the city's hectic buzz and bustle.

After traveling for one long hour, he strolled towards his apartment building.

As soon as he unlocked the door, his gaze was pulled to the darkroom that greeted him. He entered, shut the door, and switched on the light.

The flat was small, with a couch in the middle and a TV mounted on the wall, as well as a refrigerator in the corner.

He sat down on the couch, tossed his bag on the table beside it, and leaned back, stared at the ceiling. It had been a hard day at the office for him.

The room was so quiet that he could hear the clock ticking.

After spotting the remote, He snatched it up and turned on the television.

After switching on the television, he discovered that the typical soap opera was on. He sighed and changed the channel to the news. His attention was drawn to a news report about a fire at the National Library.

He got reminded of the book he had picked up just outside the office when he heard the news. He hurriedly retrieved the old book from the bag on the table.

He observed that the old book's cover appeared to be charred when he carefully examined it. He then turned to the news to see what had happened with the library fire.

However, this book was not burned. Perhaps it was picked up by that beggar outside the library.

He was about to open the book when the doorbell rang. Andy sighed as he slid the book onto the couch and walked to the door.

As he opened the door, he noticed a man standing outside, carrying the parcel.

"Have a good day, sir," the man smiled as he handed the parcel to Andy.

It was the dinner he had ordered before arriving at his house. He went inside to take a bath after setting the table for dinner.

When he got out of the bath, the library's news was still on the screen.

After finishing dinner, he turned off the television, picked up the book, and went into his bedroom.

He jumped into bed with the book in his hand as soon as he entered his room.

He couldn't find the title of the book because the book's cover was burned. But eight words greeted him as soon as the book opened.

"NONE CAN BREAK AWAY FROM THE HEAVENLY FATE"

"What is it?" Andy muttered as he turned the page.

Daily life of a cultivation judge

Yang Qing sighed as he gazed upon the black building that stood tall piercing the skies above with an inviolable aura around it. "The Order sure is black-hearted," he angrily thought as he made his way into the building begrudgingly. The building could be considered his home away from home and a source of endless grief for him due to its unforgiving working hours. The building housed the courtrooms of the Cultivation Order Society, an organization founded to maintain a semblance of order in the ruthless cultivation world of the southern continent who if left to their own devices would sink the whole continent to the ground. Due to how impetuous cultivators were, the cases never stopped. "Yi Jie, what do we have today?" "Two cultivators at the palace realm fought over a treasure and destroyed half of the territory of the blue deer kingdom in their fight, A rogue cultivator is suing the owner of the falling meteor blacksmith shop for selling him a faulty saber that keeps attracting lightning tribulations. A cultivator suffering from pill poisoning is blaming it on the white hilltop restaurant as he suspects they are feeding their spirit beasts pills to make them bigger and fatter. And the last case is 500 families are suing a cultivator by the name of Ren Fu for being negligent as a husband and a father whilst also pilfering their resources dry as he moves from place to place.," Awkward silence ensues........... I'm only one year old, what the heck is a Overturning System?!

Absurd! Reincarnating as a newborn in a demon-infested world, the overturning system arrived 30 years early. [At 30, after enduring endless hardships, you have achieved nothing and remain a loner. Reward: Late Bloomer (Talent) - Effect: The older your bones, the faster you cultivate.] [Overturning mission: Defeat Chen Yuan at the sixth level of the Guiyuan Realm within a year. Reward: Swordsmanship entry-level] One-year-old Chen Yi looked at the content on the panel, then down at his small arms and legs, falling into deep thought. 'Damn! This system definitely arrived too early!' 'I'm only a year old, what good is the Late Bloomer talent now?' 'And Chen Yuan of the Guiyuan Realm...' ... Years later, war reports came from the frontlines. 'The Tianyuan Continent’s top ten martial arts prodigy, Champion Marquis of the Wei Dynasty, the Amorous Young Master, Sword Saint Chen Yi, slaughtered 100,000 demons on the battlefield of Taizhou Mountain to celebrate for the human race!' However, Chen Yi looked at the battlefield flowing with rivers of blood and shook his head: 'I’ve been making overturn since I was one, experiencing countless life and death situations to achieve my current cultivation level. It’s not surprising you can’t resist!' Those 'life and death' crises were terrifyingly daunting. The big brother at one year old, childhood sweetheart at five, senior brother at ten, princess at a tender age... Who understands my hardships? CRITICAL REVIEW I'm critical, but I'm lenient enough to give 5s if it is entertaining or written well. You deserve it! Although its going to be a 4.8! Read 113 chaps (which is basically current as of this review). To be honest, I don't reach much anti-hero stories of ruthless MCs on the level of like revered insanity so it was a refreshing read. Well actually this story is as the title says "Life of a Villain". For this MC, he's definitely a villian than a anti-hero. Writing quality - pretty much almost no errors really. If there's a unneeded complaint that would be for it have more descriptive in writing. It's already done enough to convey its point and most importantly its a web novel. This ain't no published book you find from a bookstore. Story development- Good pacing but a little on the slow side. The later the chapters, the faster it goes. It has clichés' sure, but its definitely an above average cultivation novel. I would definitely recommend it. Its interesting to see an the MC ruthlessly cut all paths and makes sure that his enemy, the novel's protagonist, absolutely can't ever stand against him. Character wise, the story does only try to flesh out the real major characters. Key word is try. On the other hand, because of the pacing and chaos, it does feel that side characters are left out. I don't think that's a bad thing. For this author's story this is sufficient and particularly due to one major circumstance: the MC has his cheat, but also has many resources from the getgo which other cultivation stories force the MC to slowly get. As for my favourite character, probably only the Sect Master of Eternal Palace. Much like other characters in his position, we only really see events that force him to come for plot convenience. However, its refreshing and somewhat unique seeing a smart sect master making the wise choice to side with the mc. Even though he doesn't have much feelings for him and is basically forced to. The dynamic of the MC and the protagonist is something that I will continue to enjoy in the series. As for other characters, surprisingly meh. I will reiterate: most of the characters in the novel only feel that they are there to serve their purpose. I won't deny the story plot is interesting, and they fulfil their role well, but as a consequence that's what they end up feeling like and its been 100 chaps. It might be an inevitable consequence, World Background. It's a huge world. Lots of connections between places influencing the three realms already in 100 chaps. Downside? Due to the story's nature, the actual individual places and stuff in the world is not fleshed out. I still will give it a 5 tho after all, it's good enough for what this story is trying to tell. Love the story though! And will continue to read it~~ Hoping to find a heroine to ship as I usually do in harem stories.

I've always been a sucker for cultivation novels and this one, so far, has quite an interesting premise. Although the synopsis is vague and didn't give much info about the story, it was captivating enough, especially the opening sentence. Writing quality is good. There are some mistakes but it didn't disturb my reading experience. One thing I really like about the writer's way of writing is his simple words that flows so well. His way of storytelling is comfortable in the eyes and easy to understand. For the story developement, the pace is quite slow in my opinion but fortunately, the plot has started to reveal itself in the latest chapter, which is ch 8. There's a little plot twist in the last ch, which I find quite surprising and entertaining, making me have the urge to read more. I'll be looking forward for your next chapter so good luck, Author! For the world background, can't judge much as it was still in its early chapter but overall, it's quite okay. We get to be introduced a bit about the world, the realms it has, and the background of mc's family. As for the character development, the story, despite being a 3rd pov, is written in the view of the mc. His thoughts and emotions are fully exposed to the reader which I thought is a good and efficient way to make readers feel closer to the mc. And the story background of Fang Yan, which I assume will be the main villain of the book, has been introduced quite early. So for the character development, I think the author has done a fairly good job in this aspect. Well, that's the end of my review. Hope that this will help attract readers for you, Author! I've run out of ps for today but I'll make sure to give you some tomorrow! Thanks for the wonderful story! Keep up the good work!
