New Bodyguards

"Have you arrived?" Ali said looking at the dozen people standing in front of him. 10 muscular men with burly or athletic physiques and 3 females with stunning figures and a cold aura on their charming faces.

These were the guards his father had sent him after he told him about how his previous security team was beaten by a random guy on the roadside and the chief, Daniel, died in a car accident.

Obviously his dad knew about the attack on him, and not willing to take any other risks he sent these people who were handpicked by him for his safety.

All of these guards were either trained from some special army divisions or the best private security firms in the country.

{This is no CN novel urban world where people take kids in childhood and train them in their backyards to form their own team of elites. It's modern earth, and if someone did do that, he'd be captured and thrown in prison.}

Few of the guards were already in contracts of protection for Arya family, while the few his father especially gathered after hearing Ali's request, and his wife's complaints.

Ali looked at everyone and only found one person who was familiar, Laxman or Lucky for short, the man who's been guarding his father for the past 5-6 years now.

"Didn't know Dad would send you here, Rocky?" Ali asked, looking at the burly man with a major type mustache and goatee standing there in front of the rest of the guards. Showing his place as their leader and chief of security.

"Sir just didn't want to take any chances." Rocky gave a light nod and informed him "He even arranged two guards for Aliya madam, they'll be here in a couple of days too."

"Introduce yourselves." Ali nodded his head and said, as he walked over to the people standing in line.

Stopping in front of each member and watching them one by one, their faces, way of speaking, expressions, breathing and even standing posture - all of them giving him chunks of information about their strength and qualities.

Though he could use the system's appraisal to check all these details better, he didn't want to rely too much on that function for no reason and hone his senses too.

{Cause just yesterday night he read a novel where the system suddenly went offline in mid-battle, leaving the main character to fight a famous villain all by himself.}

And besides after getting Kevin's goldfinger of fighting skills his perception and senses were quite sharper now, much so when he was focused on something, as he could now notice every little thing and analyze them more easily with his passive calm mind effect and high intelligence.

And though he never tried his hand at fighting after learning those skills, he was sure of the strength he now possessed in his mind.

One by one the guards kept telling him their names, years of experience, where they worked prior and what training they had completed.

It was all just as he had guessed.

"They're quite impressive." Ali said, satisfied with what he heard and learned, as he walked back to Rocky and stood there.

"They are." Rocky too nodded his head in pride and added "Every one of them can beat the previous security chief assigned to the young master easily too."

"You can rest assured to leave your safety in their hands." He finished his words, but Ali wasn't paying attention to him and busy thinking something else.

"How many of you have killed someone before?" He suddenly asked, causing Lucky to be surprised.

"Young master, you _ .." He wanted to ask if Ali needed someone killed, but hesitated to do so openly.

Ali ignored him and asked again, "Don't give me that look, I'm just curious, how many of you have taken someone's life, or committed any other crimes before like kidnapping, extortion, crippling someone, you know the usual." Ali said, watching as every guard was just looking at him with a surprised look, "I don't care if it was in the army, missions, some private job or a bar fight, feel free to inform me one by one."

"I was posted in Kashmir."

Ali had to wait a few seconds before a guy who was in the army opened his mouth and informed him.

"That's enough said, I guess, but still anything else you wanna add." Ali asked for more details.

"It was during the election times last year. I was assigned with the security detail for a political rally going through some underdeveloped areas. A riot broke out and we had to escort the minister safely through the enraged crowd of zallots and fake religists." The man explained in short as Ali nodded his head and smiled.

"You're hired." He said. "I'll call you Alpha from now on."

Though surprised to hear he was hired, the man still nodded his head and stood silent again. As for Ali giving him the codename, that wasn't anything new, and just basic protocol.

"Next." Ali said, looking at the next person in life.

"I was a mercenary for a few years before changing careers and joining the private security sector. I did a few missions of rescue and relief in middle eastern countries, so killing was part of the job." The next person with short sleeve tight fitting clothes and a bad scar on his wrist spoke up and explained his story.

"Hired. Name will be Bravo. Next." Ali said, nodding his head and moving on to the next person.

"I was a goon in Delhi, an expert in extortions and fighting cases. Had a couple of charges in my name so to clear it up I found a rich guy and followed him for a few years. Learned this bodyguard business had more money and respect, so dropped the old lifestyle and started this." The next man with a dark complexion and thick eyebrows spoke up.

"I haven't killed anyone yet but I have been trained in several martial arts and am a champion of disguise."

"I was in the army and was part of a special task force responsible for clearing out terrorists in the border villages."

"Never killed anyone, but I am willing to if the job asks for it."

"The last businessman whom I was with, was attacked a few months ago. A car full of people blocked our path and started attacking us. I killed four people that night,.... … but the businessman died too in the fight."

"Never killed anyone. No major crime or any charges either."

"Never killed anyone, but broke a few people's bones in brawls and training spars."

"Worked with your father. Killed the people who attacked him two years ago."

"Killed my drunkard stepfather."

One by one everyone spoke and Ali showed everyone the same expression and gave the same answer.

"What about you?" He asked, looking at the last person left.

"Haven't killed anyone yet, but I plan to..someday" The girl with the short pixie cut hairstyle spoke in a cold emotionless tone, causing Ali to raise an eyebrow, but that was it.

"Hired." He said and looked at the time on his watch, while talking to the system in his mind.

'System, none of them are heroes or heroines, right?' He asked.

[None.]

Hearing the confirmation from the system, Ali looked at everyone and then at Emily, at the side who came back after arranging everyone's luggage and accommodation at the guest house besides the main building. While only Lucky's room in the mansion with them.

"I don't have to explain to you your job, so I'll only give you the details for what I need." Ali said sternly and raised his fingers "First, you do everything I tell you. No questions asked, no doubts raised. Second, break the first rule and I'll make you regret it."

"That's all. Understood?" he asked.

"Yes sir." × 12

"Good, you can all go now, freshen up, rest and relax for tonight. If you have any doubts or need anything, you can ask Lucky, he already knows everything around here."

Hearing his order the guards nodded their heads and followed Emily, who kept looking at Ali in surprise for some time, before coming back to her senses and leading them away.

They had all just taken a few steps when Ali's voice from behind came to their ears.

"One last thing, I wanna see your skills and training for myself tomorrow morning. So be ready to reach the gym at 6 in the morning."

'Let's see how I fare against all of you.' Ali said in his heart, feeling curious about how many of these elites he could beat down with his protagonist level skills.

After all, before investing his points and increasing strength using system, he should know what and where he lacks in a fight. And by increasing what he can better improve his chances of survival and victory.

##

. . Note - for those feeling curious about why he couldn't just fight these guys now instead of waiting for morning, well mainly cause the mad girl he kissed some time ago is still probably dreaming and waiting for him back inside. And who knows what she might do if he wasted time or made her wait.

Second, Emily's there at the side, and she'll beat him too, if she saw him fighting and jumping around when the doctor clearly told him to rest.

Third, after the whole day shopping he's tired. So he just wants to have dinner and then go to bed. {Obviously after reading a few villain novels since his survival depends on those.}

##

Author note - Yes, he gave them all the names according to Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta….and so on format, to make it easier for both me and you to remember and relate. Otherwise it'll be too hard to remember every other character by name.

If there is someone who becomes special through this team, then we'll get to know their real name and backgrounds too. But that's for later.

What else, ohh yeah, how many of these people do you think Ali can beat, or how much time can he last in a group battle(1 vs 12) format against them?
