The equipment that fell into Aeon's hand was a Goblin Mask and the information he read in the Assessment Page, made Aeon not know whether to laugh or cry.

[Passive Effect: 1) Increases the favorability of the Goblins to a little above neutral and no Goblin will take the initiate to attack the wearer]

[Note: It is not an equipment from the Goblin Set]

The so-called special equipment that Aeon was waiting for didn't have any effects that boosted his attack power or defence.

'Sigh…it looks like I have kept high expectations for the special item.'

Aeon could not help but sigh at the Goblin Mask in his hands.

Not only could he not use it to attack but it was not even an item from the Goblin Set, which made Aeon even more disappointed with the Goblin Mask.

He wanted a weapon or something that would help him in fighting against the monsters; Instead, he got an item that let him become friends with the Goblins.

'Wait a second…what if I really become friends with the Goblins from the Goblinthorn Village?'

Suddenly, Aeon had a crazy thought in his head as he read the two passive effects of the Goblin Mask.

'The first passive effect says that it increases the favorability of the Goblin a little above neutral…which means, the Goblins consider me as their friend after I wear this mask.'

In the Celestial World Tree, there is something called the Favorability Scale which decides how the monsters from a specific monster race react to another.

On the Favorability Scale, there are measuring units with Neutral in the center. If one moves to the right, there will be Friends, Close Friends and on the left side, there are Enemies, and Archenemies.

With the help of the Goblin Mask, Aeon's favorability will be above neutral which falls under the friends.

However, judging from how the Grimoire of Life and Death still mentioned neutral instead of friends, Aeon believed he would be still a little away from becoming friends with Goblins.

'It's alright! That's where the second passive effect comes to help me.'

Aeon started thinking of how he should make full use of the Gobin Mask to become friends with the Goblins.

'After entering the Trial Realm of Life and Death, one thing I noticed about the monsters is that they have their small group. So, if I become friends with the Goblins, I will have my own group.'

Thinking of having hundreds of Goblin Soldiers, some Goblin Sergeants around him, it would be a piece of cake for Aeon to complete his trial.

That's why Aeon added his next goal to the list and it was to become friends with the Goblins and use them to complete his trial.

'There are many types of monsters in the Trial Realm of Life and Death and even if I don't kill any more Goblins, I can easily complete the trial.'

Aeon was thinking from all perspectives and started planning what he could do to become friends with the Goblins.

'I can bring the Hornless Orcs head and increase my favorability to Friends.'

Since Goblins and Hornless Orcs are archenemies, killing the Hornless Orcs will drastically increase his favorability of Goblins.

'However, for that, I need to find Hornless Orcs and even if I found them, killing them won't be easy like killing Goblin Soldiers, Quaggoths or Lunar Serpents.'

Hornless Orcs are not weak monsters and they were known for their strength that was accumulated by going through countless battles. Even the Goblin Captain was unable to kill an Orc Sergeant and one could imagine how powerful they can be.

'The easiest way will be giving them the Special Goblin Essence Crystals.'

When this thought came to Aeon's mind, he became excited because it was the surest way to increase the favorability of the Goblins.

Just because he got an idea, Aeon didn't stop thinking as he started thinking of ways to enter the Goblin Thorn Village and how to become close to them.

While thinking about it, Aeon gradually fell asleep.

Next day,

As soon as the day started, Aeon resumed his journey and his goal was to find the Goblin Thorn Village by the end of the day at any cost.

While running, Aeon saw various monster groups; however, he carefully avoided them.

'There are Minotaurs, Kobolds, Trolls ... .all the monster races that one encounters in the Celestial World Tree.'

Even though Aeon never entered the Celestial World Tree until now, he and the other young men around his age had learned about these things.

So, he knew most of the monster races he encountered except for some; however, Aeon didn't bother to use the chances of his [Assessment Page] on them as he wanted to use them when he fought a monster group.

Along the way, he found traces of some other monster villages like Troll Village, and Hornless Orc Village; however, there was no way Aeon dared to enter them.

'It looks like this portion of the region is mostly occupied by the humanoid monsters and their villages.'

As Aeon travelled, there were fewer trees but the number of humanoid monsters he saw was high. Hence, Aeon came to this conclusion.

Maybe Aeon's luck was good; he reached the location he wanted before sunset, without fighting a single monster.

'There are lots of thorns starting from here along with many boulders. The Goblinthron Village must be somewhere around here.'

According to Blixthorn, the Goblinthorn Village was surrounded by many thorns and boulders and that's how the name Goblinthorn Village came to his village.

'Now, I have to find the Goblinthorn Village in this forest before Sunset.'

According to the diary, the Goblinthorn Village was a well-hidden one and in the history of the Goblinthorn Village, it was never attacked…not even once.

So, Aeon knew it was going to be very hard to find the Goblinthorn Village.

Moreover, there are still a couple of hours before the sunset and Aeon had to find the village before that; otherwise, who knows what kind of dangers he would encounter.

'Huh? What are they doing here?'

While searching for the Goblinthorn Village, Aeon noticed a large group of Hornless Orcs and in their hands, he saw the goblin heads.

'Wait a second…does that mean the Goblinthorn Village is raided by this large group of Hornless Orcs?'
