Desperate

"Uhn" I stuttered in shock

"What?" Lilah asked , equally in shock.

"Audrey is not going with any freak to the ball. She will go with me" Asher said to Lilah whilst looking directly at me.

"I thought you were not going, you even made excuses so that you would not go" Lilah asked him, her eyes peering at him with suspicion.

"I am sure Blake would be of the same view. He would not like to see Audrey on the arms of some freak. So even if I don't want to go, I would go and I will keep her safe. After all we are friends, who best to go to a drab ball with except for with friends?" Asher said , turning his stare to Lilah with a smile on his face.

"I find it hard to believe you would go for the ball you do desperately hate and never go to, just because you feel like the Prime minister's kid is not good enough."

" I don't feel like he is not good enough, I know he is not good enough"

"And how do you know that? You don't even know him Asher"
