Speak In Ease

Ning Mei looked at the time and chuckled. "Xiao Zhe, your brother leaves for jogging at this hour. It is fine, i will cook breakfast later on." she paused as an idea came in to her.

"Actually, why don't you come with me to get some groceries?," Aizhe's anxious face suddenly changed to a relieved one and she immediately nodded.

She held the blanket closer to herself and got inside the room with Ning Mei. She immediately changed her clothes to a white colored blouse and a tight skinny pencil pants. She paired it with a white sport shoes and let her flowy brown hair out.

Just as she was done, Ning Mei knocked on her door and they both got ready to leave.

Suddenly Aizhe's phone rang and she immediately took it out to cut the call. Much to her dismay, Zia started to groan and call out for her mother. Ning Mei looked at Zia confused as she didn't know what to do.

Aizhe understood it and cut the phone to gesture Ning Mei to go forward. Ning Mei went to her child and she awkwardly patted her hair.

For the first time, she felt as if it was a wonderful feeling to have a child of her own. She kept on patting her hair when Zia's round pinky held on to her one's. She smiled down at her and just then a flash went pass her eyes. She looked up and saw Aizhe's brightly smiling face.

Aizhe secretly took a snap of this beautiful scene and she immediately forwarded it to her brother.

Aizhe then quietly came out of the room as Ning Mei ensured Zia was tucked in really well. She took out her phone and when she saw her missed call log, she gasped. Her little action caught Ning Mei's attention who just came out of the room and she asked her what happened.

Aizhe shook her head and dialed the number again.

When the call connected, Ai's nervous tone reached her first. "Zhe, are you okay? I was just about to call Mr. Li to check on you!" she exasperated anxiously.

Aizhe felt realived to hear her tone. She thought Ai sister would misunderstand her for not picking up her call. But she seemed okay.

"Ai sister, what would happen to me? I was sleeping." Aizhe lied and her eyes caught sight of Cheng Meng in her workout clothes. They both changed different glances and Aizhe looked away immediately. She didn't want to create problems early in the morning.

She held into Ning Mei's left arm and went out of the house in haste.

"How do I know? Girl, I got trauma from last times incident. You are taking your medications on time right? You better be or else I will come in to that hose and knock everyone out for not taking care of my little sister!" Aizhe took the phone away from her ears as Ai was really loud. When she heard the last sentence, Aizhe looked towards Ning Mei and she saw her raised brow and the sly smile she was attempting to hide.

"Sister, what are you talking about? Of course, I took my medicines on time." Ai nodded feeling realived, when suddenly a baby cry was heard. It was eight in the morning and by now Ai and the whole family must be awake. Aizhe could Shan's adorable baby cry.

"aww my little cutie, are you hungry? Mummy will feed you now, okay? shhh" She could hear Ai's motherly tone coming out. Her tone changed almost immediately. How she wished she could see her expression and meet little Shan soon.

She suddenly remembered she was with Ning Mei and she turned around to see tears brimming in her eyes. Aizhe immediately stopped walking and she held her hands tightly to ensure her everything was going to be okay.

"Aizhe, are you there? Did you hear what I said?" Ai pouted as she didn't hear anything back from her. Lu Jung who was next to her in the nursery room shook his head.

Who was the child again?

"Sorry sister, what did you say?" Aizhe asked her.

Ning Mei chuckled with teary eyes as she patted Aizhe's back. She felt a bit embarrassed and walked ahead to let her speak in ease.
