"What are all these?" He asked, looking quite stupefied.
Tabs of information opened in his blank mind and he didn't know what to do about them.
His breathing hurried again and he had to place his hand on the wall for rest.
He leaned sideways and he saw his parents' dead bodies laying on the ground, he turned away resting on his back and he slowly slid down.
He forced the images of his dead parents away from his head and ignored the thick scent of blood. He refocused on the tabs in his mind.
The stat sheet came up again displaying his information.
"Is this the will of that creature? If not, what is this? What is all of this?" He muttered with a shaky voice and then he sighed.
He already understood what it meant to be a battlemage from the information tab earlier so he focused on the 'Unspent Stat Points' tab and new information appeared beneath it in a smaller font of words.
[Unspent Stat Points are points gained after each level up and their purpose is solely to increase the numbers/quantity of your 'status']
'Level up?' He remembered the being mentioning that although he had forgotten what she had said.
'This must be integral to all that is happening.'
Somehow he understood the information the 'Unspent Stat Points' gave and he focused on 'General Skills'.
Again, new information appeared below as he focused on it.
[General Skills are abilities gained outside of your class, they may include those bestowed upon you by entities, artefacts or even those you learnt yourself]
"General Skills, now these…"
Then he went below it to the first skill.
[Melos all-comprising language skill- it grants sentient beings the ability to communicate past language barriers in all of Melos]
'Handy I suppose.'
Then the next…
[Identify- Everything exists under the Goddess's eyes, everything is known and so this ability has been extended to you. You shall gain some information when you lay your eyes on a thing]
Screeches came from outside interrupting him and this time, it sounded close.
"Some other time."
He got up and his eyes went to the sword he had dropped in his moment of confusion and pain.
He picked it up and upon looking at it, a new tab appeared in his mind.
[Steel sword- high quality equipped]
"So that's what this is about."
He walked through a door after a few steps, he got to a little room that had a bunch of miscellaneous items cramped inside, by the side and free from the others was a large clay pot closed with a large cover and on it was a wooden cup.
He took off the cup and the cover and he scooped some water with the cup–turned the other way and washed his bloodied face with the water and then he took some sips of the water.
He went further in and grabbed a wooden bottle he found on top of the collection, he rinsed it with water and filled it up.
He got out and he took a turn reaching the large room they all shared. It was mostly empty with just a large mat on the ground and a wooden rack holding mostly the same outfits–the white robes he and everyone wore, but there was one different outfit and it was it that he wanted.
He pulled off his stained robes and immediately pulled on the outfit. It was black, leather and smooth and it covered all of his limbs leaving out his feet and hands, and it had a hood too.
This was an outfit his grandfather had left behind and Finrod thought it suited the occasion well. He looked around for boots and a sheath to cover the blade and after searching for a bit, he went back to the store room. After putting away some items, he found the dark brown boots he was looking for and the sheath stood right beside it when he did.
He had to dust the boots to wear them and he was complete. He placed the sheathed sword by his flank beneath a little bind that came with the outfit.
After he was done dressing, dark thoughts of how he was going to kill demons stormed his mind and he clenched fists in rage and his breathing quickened.
Then he remembered a saying an elder commonly said to kids that fought and he closed his eyes and regained his normal breathing, the rage lessened.
He went to the room where his parents' corpses lay, he looked away and frowned, he couldn't leave their bodies like this. When he turned, he spotted a bow and a quiver of arrows hanging on the wall on the opposite wall where the sword he equipped hanged, he and his parents occasionally used it to hunt.
He walked to them and took them and again, information from his system invaded his mind.
[Ordinary wooden bow and a quiver of fifteen arrows- medium quality equipped]
He hung the quiver across his back and held the large bow on his right hand. He then walked back to the door and he opened it.
Melos wasn't what he had known it as, in the short time he had spent in the hut, the planet had undergone so much change that it was unrecognizable.
The suns were still up and yet it was dark, the clouds had darkened and they blocked most of the light from them, not only that, a red strange thin mist hung in the air.
The ground had broken away further and Finrod could see demons flying about; however, they weren't as much as previously.
Fallen huts in front of him blocked some of his view but a gigantic tower with many limbs still fell in his sight. It was kilometers away and yet he could feel the eerie feeling that came from the creature, he wasn't hallucinating.
"What's that?"
