Chapter 17

{The Boss Of The Final Trial Has Appeared}

{Please Defeat The 8th Head Of 'Yamato No Orochi'}

I felt the mad bloodlust emanating from the single head of the of the mythical beast, it was stronger than Fenrir, this alone made me giddy with excitement to fight it. Suddenly, I madea realization, I had gotten so much stronger since the fight with Fenrir while Yamato No Orochi's head is still stronger they are still comparable, wouldn't it be too easy if I were to defeat it head-on with my abilities now?

I decided to handicap myself: No Ki, No Mana, No Draconic Energy, No Innate Trait, just for this fight I wanna stretch my Swordplay to the limit, I should be fine I'm almost two times stronger than Yu-Won.

I conjure up a sword with 'Absolute Zero', vowing to not use anymore skills willingly throughout the fight as well. As I entered my fighting stance Yamato No Orochi's 8th head entered my vision, It was large, and it was flailing around, but in my head, I was looking at it like a plaything.

{POV Change to Shuri}

Never before have I seen something like this in my years and years of being the 1st floor examiner, two people getting to the final trial in the same week is crazy, it had only happened once in the history of the tower but now, it happens twice in a week.

The 1st place in the Tutorial will surely fare better than the 2nd right? Just how do you fare better than winning it so decisively though? It will surely be interesting, I can't wait to see the strategies that Gojo will employ, after all a 1st-floor player cannot beat Yamato No Orochi head-on.

{POV Change back to Gojo}

One of Yamato No Orochi's flails almost hit me, I don't know if it was on purpose or not but I dodged it as efficiently as possible I put my all into my counter-attack, and it rocketed Yamato No Orochi into the walls of the Colosseum, but in the process knocking up tons of dust, it also destroys my ice blade, sticking to my rules I steel myself to continue this fight barehanded. I crack my knuckles and rush to where Yamato no Orochi should be.

But Yamato No Orochi moved swiftly in the dust and tried to sneak attack me, luckily because of my skills I was able to see him and attempted to lure him in more, going to where I would have normally waiting for its sneak attack. Once it came I was prepared enough to catch its with my left arm and then launch a solid right hook, when I connected my hook I let my grip go. Yamato no Orochi was sent flying for a second time, but this time it stayed down I saw through the dust that the hook did a number on it, it caused Yamato no Orochi's scales to cave in damaging its insides and causing bleeding. Yamato no Orochi' simply laid there like it had given up already.

I walked up to it with no fear and started picking its scales off and placing them into my storage, They are very durable, maybe the old man will make a good sword or armour outta them. Yamato No Orochi didn't feel a thing, it was too big to. Once I got a good number of them I strolled up to the head of my enemy and just started punching it without remorse, Yamato no Orochi passed after the first punch to the cranium but I kept going until a message stopped me, it was a golden colour.

{Would you like to Challenge the 21st trial?}

Curious, with the disappointment that Orochi brought me I think I'll take the opportunity.

"Challenge" I said for the last time. This time though it was different, something wasn't brought in, I was brought to something.

{An Additional Challenge Has Been Accepted}

{21st trial will now begin}

{Please defeat Kagutsuchi(Sealed)}

A fire dragon appeared in front of me, I got ready to fight, like before, but this time I was more cautious, I couldn't sense its strength.

"Child, why do you feel superior to me? You are just a lowly human." Kagutsuchi asked me, I was surprised that it talked to me but I answered its question as best as I could. My reasoning was since, this might be the only time I get a chance to speak to and hopefully learn from a dragon, a few techniques for free wouldn't hurt anyone, well except for the people I use them on.

"I'm part Dragon, and God, Oh! and Giant. Maybe that's why! Am I even human?" I say and mumble the last part as a question to myself. Kagutsuchi was taken aback by my response.

"Can we fight now? I'm kinda on a whole kill this things to get super cool rewards quest here" I say, honestly waiting for my opponent to accept, it nods so I run at it while creating a sword with 'Absolute Zero' using Draconic Energy, can't be pulling my punches. I focus in on Kagutsuchi and see it preparing an attack I prepare mentally and start analyzing where it'll be coming from, It seemed to prepare a sort of fire arrow type attack, but when it was launched at me it expanded into a massive wall of fire, staying claim trusting in my skills and stats I do something so stupid, something that is taught on page 1 of 'Things To Never Do In A FIght'. I was going to try out the technique it just used, for the first time.

Playing what Kagutsuchi did back in my head while preparing it myself, he gathered his version of 'Dragon Fire' and then compressed it in a sort of line, This step took the most time, and when I felt Kagutsuchi's own Fire Wall wash over me like a hot summer breeze, I let out my own attempt at it.

It surpassed my expectations, it was identical to the one that Kagutsuchi let out earlier, except for the power, mine was more powerful and faster. Kagutsuchi was surprised but was able to neutralize the entire wall of fire. I think I'll learn a few things from him.
