Chapter 5:

After many failed attempts, Cyran was out of breath and groaned from the pain.

His body was numb and he couldn't even stand anymore. The guard who was watching this apparently found it funny to see a teenager trying to break open a door with the energy he has left and not help him.

He could clearly see him smirking.

'Oh for Myrth's sake, can anyone tell your queen to come faster? I can't anymore...' he whined.

'I don't know boy. But she sure is taking her jolly old time.' He replied.

'What is taking her so long?' he complained.

The guard didn't reply.

'can you give me your armor? it seems warm...' he resorted to another alternative.

Cyran maybe smart but not the most patient person. He usually want to het an ETA if something is going to happen or someone is coming.

'Boy, my armor may look warm, but it weighs 100s of tons. If you wear it I'm afraid you won't be able to wake up anymore.' He commented.

'Oh whatever keep your stupid armor who wants it anyway!' He snorted.

'This is going to be harder than I thought.' the guard sighed.

He has fought fierce battles and tore through his enemies bodies, but he isn't exactly the family person. And now he has to babysit this annoying boy.

'I don't understand how you are supposed to be a threat to the nation.' he scratched his head.

'Excuse me? Haven't you heard of the Celina planet's explosion? Well without me there's no way it would've happened.' he boasted.

Too bad they don't know what Celina is and if there was an explosion possible with his boy. 'So don't underestimate me, okay buddy?' he smirked.

'Well, all I see is a shivering boy with measly arms and legs.' he replied snarkily.

'I JUST SAID NOT TO UNDERESTIMATE ME!' he shouted.

'I'm sorry It's not my fault that I haven't seen someone like you. If what you're saying is true then I would cretainly agree because even the paper boy is far more meatier and musclier than you are.' he laughed.

Paper boy is musclier than me? He stood up painfully and shouted to him, 'I am not weak! if you knew my true power you would be falling down on your knees begging for mercy!' He laughed boisterously.

'Okay...' he said rolling his eyes.

with this kid would only make him go nuts.

'But what planet are we on anyway?' he asked suddenly stopping with laughing.

See, nuts.

He didn't reply because this boy was clearly out of his mind and delusional.

He kept asking again and again and repeated it again.

'Whatever questions you may have, save it for the queen. She'll take gooood care of you.' he snorted.

'whatever. It's not like It's any worse than sleeping naked on a cold, stone bed.' he commented and sat down near one of the lit flames.

'This is nice. Is there a heater or a stove anywhere? That would be nice.' he sighed.

For a second there he felt a pinch of empathy for the kid.

He may have distraughted everyone, but he's still a kid. They should've at least given him some clothes. But unfortuntely, the queen is a stern woman and doesn't care whoever they are, if they look like a threat, they are a threat to her.

He sighed and took out his silky red cape he had.

'Here kid. use this.' he handed it to him. The boy looked thankful anddraped it around his shoulder. 'ah, much better.' he said.

'yeah well, don't think that you could use this to your advantage.' he sighed.

'You literally gave me a towel. I don't think there's much to blackmail you with.' he replied. But it wasn't true. He was very thankful that he didn't let him freeze to death.

'Now, you don't happen to have some food with you do you mister?'

'Don't push your luck kid.'

'Alright.'

Kara and her mother were there to discuss her poor behavior in her education.

Ms.Howard went on feeding her mother lies about how poor she did at school. At least that's how Kara felt.

'I can't even think where to begin.' her teacher said dramatically. 'Well where to start? There is this one time where she set the whole dinner table on fire.

That was an accident. It's not her fault if she wanted to be perfect and have the perfect candlelight dinner.

'There was also a time where she brought her monkey to class and disrupted the whole lesson with its screeching and screaming.'

Peanut just wanted to attend class like she did. Can't animals enjoy their lives too?

'And yesterday…dear can you tell me what 2 times 23 is?' Ms.Howard asked smiling. But not sweetly, it was an evil grinch grin.

Queen maguire turned to her daughter with an angry look that basically means not to disappoint her.

'uh…2 times 23 is...323?' she gulped.

'Enough!' the queen sprung up . Her expression was hard to read. But knowing her mother, Kara knew that she must be agitated and disappointed overall.

'I thought you could do it on your own, but apparently that wasn't the case. You can't dance, can't sing, cannot even fight like the others, what can you do Kara? Roaming around causing trouble everywhere you go?' she blurted.

Again, that hurt her. It stung, they did say words are sharper than knives.

'You're right, all I do is cause trouble for you. I should just die so you'll be happy!' she argued back at her mother.

Slap! Her mother not looking at the teacher and the servants watching her just straight up striked her abruptly on the cheek.

This stung physically as well as mentally.

Tears flowed down Kara's cheeks. She kept saying to herself that princesses don't cry like a baby, but her mother doesn't see her like a princess. It's not like she would care if she cried or not.

She raced through the halls when she heard her mother screaming to come back from behind.
